Hadean Tactics came out at the perfect time as the logical conclusion of the recently prolific autobattler and the currently “in-renaissance” roguelike genre, marrying the two genres with such fluidity and cohesion that it really makes you wonder why we dont have more games like this
If you enjoy any of the two genres and had little to no exposure to the other, this game is a great ease in, and if you are like me, and played almost every autobattler and roguelike available, its great fun time
The game follows the traditional roguelike structure, save from the initial card unlocks, there are no permanent powerups that are carried through the runs.(save for your knowledge)

Destiny or Fate
Warning
By writing this review I’ve already produced more Destiny or Fate content than the devs have in more than a year. Yes, this game has been abandoned with major bugs. Proceed with caution.
Why am I still giving it a thumbs-up then?
Recommendation
The fact that I’ve completed the game more than 10 times, and have clocked more than a dozen hours indicates that the core gameplay loop is still satisfying. So, in order to not look like a hypocrite:
If you can get this game for anything below 5 bucks, and you know for a fact that the genre is for you, then you can consider getting it. Please don’t let it be your first taste of deckbuilding roguelikes, though.

Overall ★★★★☆ (4/5) Recommended for people who are seeking strategy games!
I bought this game 2days ago and played for a while. Literally, couldn’t stop playing it. Very interesting game play due to interconnection between hero abilities, card, and enemy special ability. I just got into 3rd stage without much investing into mastery (which you don’t lose even if you die). I highly recommend to people who love strategy challenges. I hope to see more updates with interesting heroes, cards, and enemies. So far, I played 3 heroes, and it’s been lot of fun in each hero play. (It seems there are more than 10 heroes available, but I could unlock about 5heroes so far).

Deep, In the Forest
It’s a fun little game. It’s not going to have as much deck-building depth/synergy as some other games like STS. However, it has a fun atmosphere and overall concept. Well-done for a 2 dev team. I wasn’t a huge fan of the danger level mechanic in general, but there is an easy mode that does make the game more manageable for those that are struggling. Recommended to grab on sale if you like this kind of game.

I had a ton of fun with deep in the forest it’s got a nice mechanic of you can burn a card once per turn to gain 1 more mana gain each turn and the burned card stays gone so you can thin your deck during the battle and gain advantage it’s awesome and makes you think and make hard choices. Some downsides is that the game doesn’t have a mechanic to see your deck, discard, or burned cards during battle so it can be a big pain not know what cards you have left. (my first run i burned all my attack cards without realizing it)

Power Chord
Power Chord is a team-based roguelike deck-building time-resetting battle against the demon gangs of Helmoth.
Assemble Earth’s mightiest musicians, each with their own unique cards and gear, to fight your way through the hordes and destroy the only guitar powerful enough to reopen the scratch between worlds.
Choose from a diverse cast of kick-ass characters to assemble your band, with each member having their own unique set of cards and playstyles. Combo your different band members’ cards to unleash devastating attacks and shred your opponents. Be careful though because if a band member falls in battle you’ll lose them and access to their cards in future battles until you revive them at a pit stop.
Discover new cards as you bar brawl stage-to-stage, unlocking new strategies to take down demons and strengthening your instruments of destruction. Choose your way through a branching path filled with battles, merchants, random encounters, and valuable rest locations to heal and revive fallen characters.
Greedy Dungeon
So far, it’s a pretty fun game. You build up your deck, upgrading cards you like, hit the dungeon to take on baddies and hopefully not die. It can be kinda grindy, but the more challenging dungeons will test your character and your willingness to lose everything if you die. For the price it can’t be beat.

“There are so many “just another card games” out there, but this one is not one of them.”
I used this sentence in my Banners of Ruin review, but it fits perfectly here too.
The audio and the visual design is outstanding and the art style matches flawlessly with the music and the atmosphere.
Gameplaywise, the passives for each God, the 9 different starting class and the “choose your path” type Endless mode offer a lots of replayability while the Campaign lets you learn the game while you progress thru it.
