The Last Federation
How do I explain this? Bullet Hell meets Civilizations in Space?
You have 8 races, all with very identifiably anatomies ranging from small furry barn-owls to Metroid style Chozo-esque utopian robots to a planet of robots who act like Bender from Futurama to a warlike crab? people (what the hell is a Burlust). The main game mode has you trying to make a unified Federation to stop genocides like the one that happened to your awesome 4 headed dragon race. You can research technology on you rown or with other races to improve your relations with them, help build structures on planets that can either strengthen defenses, help production/livelihood, or just make a bunch of TV channels that help different races learn that they’re not supposed to hate everyone.

There is a lot to say about The last federation that already has been said by people better at this kind of stuff than me, but another voice in the ether never hurt nobody :)
Right of the bat it should be said that the general concept is a twist on the old grand strategy formula of “unify the world to win” but excecuted in such a way that your character aren’t a contestant among others as much as the one that decided that an ensured galactic peace is something to work for. As such your job is to first create the federation, and then persuade the eight races of the galaxy to join it.

Cruelty Squad
Cruelty Squad is a game that assaults all of your senses until you gain the skill and knowledge needed to assault the game back. Once you have ground the game into the dirt for what it did to you and there is nothing left to accomplish, it asks you if you are proud of yourself. The words make you feel like you winced, but outwardly you have shown no reaction. You continue to punish the game. You just keep playing. You have enough money but you keep harvesting organs. You have beaten every level over and over again but you keep replaying them. You’ve gotten S ranks in each level but you just keep going for shorter times.

The art style is like being born again. Merely the appearance of everything is so unfamiliar, yet the form has a purpose. What is at first is an assault on the senses becomes this journey to have a precision beyond that of machine, to retire at 30, to be a home owner. But now that you’ve reached your destination, there’s a distinct emptiness. What more is there left to do? You’re a high net worth individual now, and you can’t truly take that journey for the first time again. If you throw away everything, you’ll just navigate effortlessly back to where you were. Simply put, there’s no more destination to venture to, there’s no journey to be had, you’re at the end of what this planet has to offer and what a society of miserable chunks of meat has to offer. What do you do at the end? Desperately try to relive any past experiences, no matter how boring they’ve become? Or maybe keep doing the same routine every day in hopes that something new will cross your path? What purpose does man serve when they’ve done everything?

Big Ambitions
Prologue
_“It’s been 3 months since grandma died. I know that I’m an adult now that I’m 18 years old, but still… It feels so scary that no one is there to take care of stuff.
There’s one good thing though. At the funeral, my uncle Fred asked me for my phone number. He said he wanted to help me get on my feet. I don’t really know him, but I guess he’s family after all.”_
Game Description
Big Ambitions is a roleplaying business simulator situated in the open-world city of New York. You start the game as a young kid surviving in the big apple. You have big ambitions for money and success, but you’re starting with absolutely nothing.
Gameplay
In Big Ambitions, you control a single person in the middle of the bustling metropolis of New York City. Your goal is to achieve financial success in various ways. Starting at the bottom flipping burgers or collecting garbage to eventually owning and running big businesses and real estate throughout the city.
As you progress, you always need to make sure that you’re getting enough sleep, keeping up with your health, and making sure your happiness is sufficient. Increasing your capital can be trickier than you think. As you will learn, money can’t buy time.
Money making opportunities
We’re still in the process of adding content to the game, but to give you a better understanding of the basics, we put together a list of ways you can make money:
-
Getting a job (cashier, warehouse worker, garbage collector, etc)
-
Running storefront businesses (clothing shops, restaurants, gift shops, etc)
-
Running office-based businesses
-
Buying buildings and renting them out
-
Real estate investments (buying and selling buildings strategically)
-
Investment Funds
Sandbox
Even though Big Ambitions has an interesting story featuring Uncle Fred and other characters, it’s up to you to decide how much you want to listen to them. Everything is available right from the beginning.
Day to day objectives and tasks
In Big Ambitions, you go through days just like in real life. Every day is different, and you’ll have various tasks to handle such as:
-
Sleeping, eating, and exercising
-
Educating yourself with courses and school
-
Recruiting and managing employees
-
Managing business warehouse status (buying and transporting goods)
-
Expanding into new business areas
-
Renovating buildings
-
Managing your vehicle(s). Filling up gas, maintaining the vehicle, etc.
-
Paying taxes
Transporter Manager Tycoon
OVERVIEW:
The game is a continuation of Freight Simulator (which I have also played). Transporter Manager Tycoon is a management game, which allows you to expand your company to several branches and follow different paths, different than Freight Simulator where you only managed your transport company, you can now transform your company into a distributor or in a stock holding. Of course, I couldn’t miss the chance to play this game, after having played Freight Simulator.
POSITIVES:
– Real player with 30.9 hrs in game
It’s funny how Steam (and life) works sometimes. I spent £42 on CK3 and hated it so much I had to ask for a refund which is something I can never remember doing. I then spent £7 something on this and I haven’t stopped playing since. Goes to show some of the cheaper games can be better, Of course it can be improved, it feels a little bit clunky and it’s not exactly realistic. Why should a manager have to fuel a truck halfway through a trip, surely the driver would? Then you can stop a trip halfway through and come back to it later. Not something you can do in real life! I think it would be nice if there was some kind of basic geography included so you had loads going to and from different geographic locations and you could warehouse goods at different places, swap trailers, etc to make it more realistic. Overall though I really like playing and I’d recommend a buy.

Yerba Mate Tycoon
Overall 7/10 at the current price. I look forward to seeing where this game goes.
This game has potential, but it seems early in development. The core game mechanic revolves around creating yerba mate blends, and functions similar to Game Dev Tycoon. Each production cycle you chose some options and try to find the right mix for the market. The products sell on the market for 8 months and either increase or decrease in sales based upon marketing and how well the market appreciates the current product. There are sliders where you adjust variables within each production cycle like taste, appearance, and aroma. There is some research that unlocks some additional options to add a bit more depth.

It was either this or two Guaymallén Alfajores.
First off, I want to say that I really appreciate the developer making a game as niche as this. I never thought tycoon games would get as specific as focusing on a South American drink that’s relatively obscure outside the continent save for a few countries. It’s really clear that this was a passion project and that the dev really put time and care into Yerba mate Tycoon and genuinely likes working on it.
The gameplay is very similar to Game Dev Tycoon in some aspects, but it introduces new gameplay aspects as well. The first ones that come to mind are the abilities to purchase rival companies and the fact that the process for making your Mate is more in depth than making your game in Game Dev Tycoon. The soundtrack is pretty upbeat, it’s not the highlight of the game, but it adds enough so that the game doesn’t get too boring.

Scramble
–Overall 8/10–
-Graphics: 6/10: Some parts of the map has icon issues and map looks oddly similar but overall OK UI design and little complexity makes the game more clear to understand
-Gameplay: 7/10: more than enough for a indie developer tycoon/colonisation game.
-Sounds: 10/10: i love the music that plays on the background.Other sounds are great
First of all, this is an indie game even tho it has potential in it you can see by the lack of some aspect; that potential never been used to its maximum. I considered this fact while reviewing keep in mind.

Riot Control Simulator
Your daily job is to keep the people of this city safe, above all, protests happen now and then. This time, however, something is different. The country is changing, and people are taking to the streets. When frustration grows, the whole country might suffer. Protests are already happening in every major city. Do you think you can stop it? Despite the dictatorship, you still have a job to do. After all, the law is the law.
Taking control of the raging crowd is a difficult task. Aggression leads to more hostility, and if you overdo it, the whole masses will fight back. Molotov cocktails, stones, and batons will be an enormous threat to you, while shield and helmet can save your life. The authorities want to suppress the riots at all costs.
You have heavy vehicles and crowd-breaking gear at your disposal. Nothing seems to stop protesters' zeal more than a stream of water from a water cannon. As a last resort, you can even call in a tank to restore order. Wait a sec! Isn’t it too much?
Be smart and use tactics while planning your next moves. A compact formation can easily restrict the movement of people or capture aggressive ones and arrest them. Use provocation and infiltrate the crowd to catch riot leaders.
Will you be a pawn of the government?
FEATURES:

many cities to bring peace
-
moral decisions to take
-
extensive selection of crowd pacification equipment
