Stick RPG 2: Director’s Cut

Stick RPG 2: Director’s Cut

If you enjoyed the first stick rpg then you will likely enjoy this one.

Part of me does feel however, that this sequel went away from some of the charm that made the first game so fun. For example, you no longer feel a sense of progression as you move up the numerous career ladders. Remember your voice message in the first game? There is none of that in this game. And it’s funny, because you literally have a cell phone on your person. Such a missed opportunity.

House upgrades are not a thing anymore. You simply have the option of owning three houses. Even in the first stick rpg, there were upgrades you could buy that would give you a bonus. The only upgrades you can get in this game is just a bed, an alarm clock, and yeah… that’s it.

Stick RPG 2 is a fun little timewaster. Not worth the $20 price for sure, but if you can snatch it on sale and remember playing it or the original, go for it. Otherwise? Pass.

Quick rundown of what this has that the Flash game doesn’t.

  • A fourth screen for late game content

  • More careers, weapons, quests, homes and other little things. The game has essentially been expanded by like, 33%.

  • Cheats to play the game more quickly

  • Offline or online saves. There’s no reason, IMO, to ever use online saves as you have to login each time you boot up the game.

ValiDate: Struggling Singles in your Area

ValiDate: Struggling Singles in your Area

ValiDate is a visual novel in which you maneuver yourself through the twisting paths of young adulthood.

Set in the Jercy City area, twelve struggling singles in their twenties navigate through the trying ordeals of capitalism to find meaning in their lives. Includes a hint of love, cosplay, and even mediocre mixtapes in the mix.

With 13 playable characters and over 60 routes to choose from, there will be about 70-90 hours of content, depending on how you play it. We don’t know if you be reading fast or not. Whether your decisions are good, bad, or just tremendously shitty, you’re going to have a great time falling in (or out) of love with these characters.

Miracle Snack Shop

Miracle Snack Shop

This is the first time I’ve played a Korean VN. What a breath of fresh air! Absolutely lovely artwork, engaging story, & character detail. I spent a good 20+ hours playing & replaying it (I can see someone finishing it casually in 6-8 hours) & is definitely worth the time for those who are interested in soft core visual novels with a casual light touch of gameplay mechanics. I would personally love to see more to this VN in the form of DLCs about all the characters.

I didn’t see as much detail in the other characters that Philia’s route had & would love for that to be explored upon. It would also have been nice to see Steam Achievements. But that doesn’t take away from the enjoyment you can get out of this VN. I will definitely replay it again.

“Miracle snack shop = Visual Novel + Tycoon + Dating Sim” (by Nyanco Curator )

*Review

Miracle Snack Shop is a visual novel type tycoon game. It’s a new game from TalesShop with fresh attempts. But tycoon parts in this game are not enough compared to other simulation games. Moreover, the UI is somewhat complicated and not intuitive. Nevertheless, the visual novel aspect of this game is quite good. Basically, the characters voice is supported, and the translation quality is also decent. In addition, the story plot is very interesting and humorous. Especially, the heroine, Queen Salt is so lovely!
