Rigid Force Alpha
I had this game on my wishlist and once it went in the sale I picked it up straight away. I have only played it for like an hour and I can already say this game is Awesome! It reminds me alot of Project X on the Amiga from back in the day except not as ludicrously hard! LOL Seriously the graphics are superb, the music is just brilliant and the gameplay is tight! I am so glad I eventually picked it up. If you love your old school shooters you need to own this game immediately, its as simple as that.

This is a really nice surprise. An excellent old school SHMUP with modern graphics. I’m just diving into the game but can already tell a lot of love has been put into it (about 7 years of love according to the devs). It’s an outstanding attempt to bring back the simple feelings of the past and quite a feat considering it’s the devs first venture into this genre. RFA indeed feels very reminiscent of R-type mixed with a few other 90’s style shooters. Leaderboards are present for score chasers with 3 difficulty modes to compete in though I’d recommend Hard mode for purists ;-) Looking forward to placing on the leaderboards!

Daydreamer: Awakened Edition
Extremely mind-blowing creative graphics in this game, and great maze-like challenges on multiple levels. An interesting “Spirit Guide” following you everywhere gives this game an edge unrivaled by most games of this type. Very cool!

I really wanted to love this as I am a huge fan of games like Abe’s Oddysee and other quirky platformers. As it is though, it’s more of a $5 game. Still needs some work.

Story
🔸A full-fledged story is obviously not a focus in shoot ‘em up games. However, there is a simple one here. An unnamed silent man wakes up inside a butcher shop, instructed by a floating banana that appears out of thin air to kill the owner since he’s an arms dealer. The next second your character is a man with a bounty on his head and now he can’t stop ‘til he gets to the bottom of it. I can’t get further into the story since the plot is tied to the ending in a way that any attempt to explain more might spoil that little piece of the story it tells.

My Friend Pedro is a shoot ‘em up video game developed by DeadToast Entertainment and published by Devolver Digital. Game is based on an Adobe Flash game named MFP: My Friend Pedro that was released by Adult Swim Games back in 2014.
Story
You play as silent, masked protagonist with no name, who wakes up in a basement of a butcher shop with no memories of why and how he got here. Luckily your friend, a banana named Pedro, informs you people who control this shop are evil and instructs you to kill them, starting a killing spree in which you will look for answers about yourself and about scenario you ended up in.

Last Soul - Prologue
Ok. I’ll start saying that this game is AMAZING. Now, some details. The music is getting you to the perfect hectic state that any gamer wishes. It makes you focus only on the game. Nothing else matter.
To control the game with the Keyboard, is a bit of a challenge. I hope they change to WASD and set the feature to IJKL (for example). But, if you play using an Xbox Control, it’s flawless. The jumping distances, the shooting, the explosions, everything shows that these guys took the time to test their game thoroughly.

I have just played the demo version and I like it! I would recommend it with no doubt.
It is a platform game which remembers classic ones in 80/90’s with a Star Wars / futuristic flavour that could engange everyone ;)
Music and graphics are enough good to be playable (you can enjoy the music by itself if you subscribe their newsletter so you can appreaciate it because in the game, you are focused to shoot and kill enemies).
Game mechanics are not new (double jump, dash, climb, etc.) but are implemented in a very good way :)

Sweet Pea
This physics based platformer follows the story of a tiny pea battling against the forces of evil.
On face value, the game has a single command “jump” which you use to navigate each stage. However, as you continue to play, you use gravity, momentum, and power-ups to solve increasing difficult environments.
When you’re really on a roll, Sweet-Pea flies across the screen. It was tremendously fun hitting the end of each stage, especially as they get more and more challenging.
