Liked it a lot. Reminds me of Superhot in some ways (scenes to be solved), but with it’s unique mechanics. Lets you feel like you are the Quicksilver from X-men. Bullets fly around in a very satisfying way. Great fun.

Fun if you enjoy time-manipulation games, if a little lacking in the number of missions at present.

It’s currently still marked Early Access, but doesn’t seem to have received any improvements recently.

The workshop mode seems a bit incomplete, so it’s not really user-extendable at the moment, but hopefully it’ll be more fleshed out in future.

(Don’t Fear) The Templar

It took playing the recent Quake remaster, but now I get it.

It’s good. Nay, ace. No doubt about it. If it wasn’t up against the stiff competition that is the years upon years of high quality ‘boomer’ shooters, this would be a completely unqualified early access recommendation.

Ultrakill, Ion Fury, Post Void, Project Warlock 1 + II, Amid Evil, DUSK, HROT, Maximum Action, GTTOD, Prodeus, Cultic, etc - be they full games, early access, or just demos, the retro, ‘boomer’ shooter genre really is booming. I also cannot wait for the likes of Into the Pit, Fortune’s Run, and Forgive Me Father. In fact, there are so many that even when I say that I’d place this firmly mid-list it’s not even that damning.

TLDR; If you like retro shooter gameplay, and would like to have fun, buy it now!

I will just start listing what comes to mind, that makes me love this game, then write some experiences from my first 8 hours of playing on the hardest difficulty so far. Smooth movement with air controll using the mouse, running feels similar to classic doom (taking a short time to reach full speed), satisfying meaty gun sounds and very good feedback with lots of gore, build variety that actually changes gameplay, bullet time, stylish awesome visuals, amazing soundtrack, atmosphere, very good enemy and level design, exploration with rewarding secrets to find, weapon swapping combos combined with positioning during combat.

Just bought this game today, it runs smooth and all that, it just needs much more content. It really has a dead feel, not much excitement for capturing objectives, the best part of the game for me was throwing my weapon lol. To the developers if this game, I would go for a man vs machine approach. Maybe make the robots smart and work together using vehicles and stuff, and having us players team up to fight the robots capture bases and that kind of stuff. Keep at it I’ll check out your updates as they come out, also the looting system could use some tweaking in my opinion. But for now my review is save your money buyers.

An extremely unique game with a concept I’m surprised I haven’t run into before. The game itself is very fun in general with decent graphics, fun game play, and pretty cool character movements. I’m quite curious to see what will become of this game and especially how they will handle multiplayer.

I however do have an issue with the game. Every once in a while when you respawn your character stays on the ground. You can still move around but its impossible to do anything productive. Here’s what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ojQhbwSuKg

Project Cybertronic

Project Cybertronic

Hello, welcome to Project Cybertronic.

Project Cybertronic is a zero gravity video game as a massive online battle arena. Fly in space with your jetpack and use all sorts of surfaces to walk on with magnetic boots, using flashy maneuvers to capture the surprise moment to use your opponents or trickle out their attacks. Infiltrate gigantic battleships and stations from within and find their weaknesses. Use tactical Items in the right moment to give you an advantage. Join the Earth Alliance and learn fighting in weightlessness to become the best in a Last Man Standing Arena. Play with your friends privately or public via Internet or Local Network.

From its roots as a passion project, we have begun gathering a team to turn it into something far more. But we need your help to make Cybertronic next years game of choice for enthusiastic gamers. It is highly motivating that people like you are interested in us and that gives us the power to realize Cybertronic.

Note:

This current game version is from a no-budget project development. We currently do not have a running online server, but you can create your own and wait until a player enters your match. For the Match Making we use a free Unity Unet account in which 1-3 Players can play without abort. If there are more players in a match, a connection lost could be happen till playing. You will be suddenly return to the main menu. For more players we recommend to make a manuel connection. If you have problems entering a game, restart the application completely and navigate directly to the desired game mode (without detours).

Nevertheless, we wish you a lot of fun and hope for your support to make Cybertronic to a complete game.

This game has huge potential. When it plays right, it’s addictive. The slow-mo 3D aim needs work, but the core game works pretty well. Some fine-tuning to the controls, more levels, and additions to the gameplay especially with the gun-fu moves (Adding more) this could go from a good game to a great game. Hope they update over time and soon. They have something here.

A fresh take on the bullet hell/puzzle genre

At first glance, Good Knight looks messy/confusing/intimidating. But don’t let that stop you from enjoying the game for what it is: at its core a very challenging bullet hell that will make you come back for more.

The game’s premise is very, very, simple: it’s a one-button puzzle/bullet hell game. Your character is always on the move on the stage. You press a button, your character changes direction. That’s the basics! The key to progressing in the game is recognizing patterns and rhythms, knowing when to use the optional slowdowns, and dodging at the right time. The tutorial itself reinforces the fact that the mechanics are basic enough that it immediately throws you into the main game almost immediately. Side note: there may be a need to improve the tutorial instructions because I’ve seen a few players take a bit to figure out how to progress from it.

Shodo

Shodo

Note: This game is very much alpha. All features shown in gameplay are currently accessible, and playable. However it is still pretty buggy, so heads up!

Shodō is a VR game where players fight in a 5v5 battle of chaos magic, in the martial art of their own design.

In this universe you must work for your power. No cheap fireballs, no facerolling, no mana resource to constrain you.

The raw power of your Sigil is dependent on both how complex it is, and how accurately you can execute it in the heat of battle.

Build your magic art to match your personality - do you like fast paced, rapid attacks that overwhelm your enemy? Opt for flow casting, which minimizes casting time and maximizes attack rate.

Or perhaps you would rather forge a weapon no other can destroy, that will instantly kill whatever it touches - at the expense of an intricate, complex sigil.

Enter the world of Shodō and experience for yourself, psychic abilities that come at a real mental cost. Become the protagonist, the master of your art, and carve your path into the history of this environment of controlled chaos.
