Another Warfare
This game has great effects, particles and all.
Enemies are standard.
Mechanics are good by themselves.
But level design is really bad.
Levels look alike, which makes you don’t like the visuals.
besides last 2-3 level they are not challenging in any way and this makes mechanics useless too
But in the end It’s not boring or anything. It is 175MB you can just buy&download&try in no time.

In Another Warfare time moves only when you move, like in SUPER HOT. But now, in a 2D environment
I had a lot of fun playing through the whole game. It’s a short experience, fair for the price offered.
The level design really impressed me. You can really grasp the mechanics and different enemy types just by the levels themselves, learning as you progress. I never found myself stuck in a level that felt too difficult and were never bored by a level that felt too slow or easy.

Necrowarp
NECROWARP
The entire galaxy has been corrupted by a mysterious, demoniac source of evil, which just spawned out of nowhere to screw everything up - and to be even more “classical”, regarding profound story twists and characters, it’s up to Space Marshal Major McMâsscré to kill everything on sight that might be part of this evil (or well, just everything on sight). Of course, engaging the enemy with his prototype fighter on his own, just assisted by his neurotic tactical AI and except some of his good old friends, who might join him for a COOP session to save the day.
THE GAME
So if you are looking for an epic scaled 80s Scifi/Cyberpunk action shoot’em’brawl opera, fully packed with tons of weapons and customization options, plenty of gore and carnage plus bad and naughty b-movie kind of humor, then this cranky little shooter might be something for you!
Instead of just avoiding bullets, like in other bullet hell shmups (Shoot’em ups), Necrowarp also comes up with a lot of (un)forgiving brawler rampage as well, like crushing enemies with your melee weapons or by pushing them around or into each other. Of course, just as an addition to the huge arsenal of classic long-range weapons the game still relies on! And to make it a bit more, well, sadistic and personal, you’re not only fighting soulless robots or drones all the time, but manned enemy vehicles, crammed with really bad gang members or soldiers (trust us; they have the wrong political attitude), zombies (of course), mutants and other funky space abominations to bring democracy upon.

The Purge Day
Pretty awkward and bad. It’s a stationary shooter, and you’re exposed to strange polygonal creatures that come at you from the distance. The first level (I could not complete) had aliens, which was nice, but they just come at you, and if they touch you once your dead. The game is therefore you making sure they all get shooted in the head from a distance, and you have to use a bad non-VR conducive cross hair. Ideally, the game would be better, and more dynamic, and you’d aim down the sights like a real gun, like every other VR shooter does.
! Reminds me of Area 51 from back in the day, but that game was better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkECztX1rMQ

Great game, Well worth the $3! Works really well with the oculus rift and doesn’t require the use of Steam VR (My Steam VR doesn’t work, So any game that works without Mandatory SteamVR support is awesome!).
It’s real fun and my nephews enjoy playing this game a lot!

ReCurse: Eternal
ReCurse: Eternal is a virtual reality sword-fighting single-player game that is combat-focused featuring only boss-level characters which will be fought one at a time as the player progresses from one stage to another. IT IS NOT AN OPEN WORLD RPG. The game’s progression will work like traditional fighting games such as tower mode or arcade modes where you fight each enemy in a ladder-style progression. The actual combat is inspired by souls-like games that encourage strategic gameplay by punishing rushed and spammy movement and rewarding rhythmic dodging, blocking, parrying, attack patterns.
Dread Templar
(Don’t Fear) The Templar
It took playing the recent Quake remaster, but now I get it.
It’s good. Nay, ace. No doubt about it. If it wasn’t up against the stiff competition that is the years upon years of high quality ‘boomer’ shooters, this would be a completely unqualified early access recommendation.
Ultrakill, Ion Fury, Post Void, Project Warlock 1 + II, Amid Evil, DUSK, HROT, Maximum Action, GTTOD, Prodeus, Cultic, etc - be they full games, early access, or just demos, the retro, ‘boomer’ shooter genre really is booming. I also cannot wait for the likes of Into the Pit, Fortune’s Run, and Forgive Me Father. In fact, there are so many that even when I say that I’d place this firmly mid-list it’s not even that damning.

TLDR; If you like retro shooter gameplay, and would like to have fun, buy it now!
I will just start listing what comes to mind, that makes me love this game, then write some experiences from my first 8 hours of playing on the hardest difficulty so far. Smooth movement with air controll using the mouse, running feels similar to classic doom (taking a short time to reach full speed), satisfying meaty gun sounds and very good feedback with lots of gore, build variety that actually changes gameplay, bullet time, stylish awesome visuals, amazing soundtrack, atmosphere, very good enemy and level design, exploration with rewarding secrets to find, weapon swapping combos combined with positioning during combat.

CROSSBOW: Bloodnight
CROSSBOW is fun, but it has some serious flaws when it comes to the late-game. Fun casually, but grinding the game competitively to climb the leaderboard gets boring quickly.
I made a knee-jerk review about this game after having played it for 2.5 hours where I dissected the problems with the game and didn’t recommend it. I scrapped that review, and having played it longer, reaching a score of ~1350, I can say that there is a good game underneath the problems I see. I have certainly gotten my share of enjoyment out of the amount of money I spent on the game, and I think the devs are open minded enough to update their game.

The Short of it: A challenging arena FPS that reminds me of Devil Daggers, but ups the interaction factor based on the variety of ways to use your weapon (shotgun blast, full-auto stream, explosive AOE). I had fun =)
Reminds me of: If you liked Devil Daggers, Doom, or Hexen, there’s a good chance you’ll like CROSSBOW: Bloodnight.

Epidemyc
This is a strategy tower defense game, you must protect seven rows against monsters by putting soldiers in each row. The player must choose between buying defensive structures, attack soldiers, or mining. As the game progresses, special and aid units are unlocked, also the enemies are upgraded in their variety. It is a very entertaining game where you do not pay to win, it does not require internet, it is not too long (infinite), it is complete and contains unlockable elements.
History: A war between the north and south zones forced all retired soldiers to return to service, Colonel Steve among them. Steve has a special mission within his own territory, and this is to recover the containers from laboratory 3. This would be a simple mission if it weren’t for the fact that he must confront the biological weapons that the enemy used in the city and the scarce resources assigned to him. Will he be able to overcome all obstacles? It depends on you.

DemonPandemicVR
Finally a simple VR shooter. Yes you can choose to have complicated reloading, but this is the only game I’ve seen where you can choose how you reload. Throwing stuff feels fluid and powerful, and is easily my favorite part of the game. The 7 different arenas give me different euphoric feelings.
I highly recommend this game for anyone looking for a VR game they can play easily without frustration, that is also polished.

I mainly play Beat Saber in VR but I heard about this game because the devs are popular Beat Saber mappers who are now getting into VR game development. I fully support Indie developers so I thought I’d give this one a shot.
I’m definitely not a hardcore gamer or can call myself very good at VR shooters. So I definitely fit into the casual gamer category this game is geared towards. The first thing I noticed when I loaded the game is how intuitive everything is. I see some guns in front of me and targets and I can immediately try it out and learn what to do. I didn’t have to wait for any tutorials, cut scenes or anything. I could just start doing some shooting and have some fun right away!
