SUPERHOT Mind Control Delete is the promised free DLC for SUPERHOT while also being a new release for the company and potentially a new game.

It’s also what SUPERHOT always should have been.

SUPERHOT was an excellent game when it came out. SUPERHOT took a novel concept and spread it over thirty-one levels. The story had some issues with how it was told, but the experience was enjoyable and players were able to quickly tackle levels and move on.

The problem is SUPERHOT left the player wanting more. While it had several bonus challenges in the game the main game would only last only about three or four hours. The experience was fun but for a twenty-five dollar title, it ran out entirely too fast.

Your goal: Stopping the world’s largest surveillance corporation, Big Brother, from turning into a deep-state puppet master.

You’ve spent months setting up this operation.

Tonight, at midnight, you’ll have your chance._

Physics based destruction - Launch data nodes and cybersecurity to crash them in a blaze of cyber explosions.

Upgrade your system on the fly - Crash special nodes to unlock unique powerups, anything from giant drills to bullet time.

Breach their protocols and corrupt their mainframe - Break through a series of gates to gain access to their mainframe, then find a way to destroy it.

Short and sweet runs - Random generation ensures no two runs are the same, and each one takes no more than 5 minutes to complete.

Godstrike

Godstrike

Introduction

Godstrike is a twinstick bullet hell bosh rush roguelite arena shooter by OverPowered Team. It was previously released on Steam as Profane but taken down. It has been updated and released under its new name. I was already following the game as Profane and keeping an eye on it. When there was a demo contest I jumped on the opportunity to win a free game key.

Control

It can be played with a dual stick controller but personally I think it’s best played with the mouse either in combination with an one handed controller or with the keyboard. Using the mouse lets you simply put the reticle on your target allowing you to concentrate on dodging bullets. I prefer playing with a PS3 move navigation controller (in combination with a mouse), you could achieve the same with a Switch Joy Con or an analog joystick. Certain mouse drivers let you remap your buttons which is very useful for Godstrike. I’ve set up a mouse profile so I can map active abilities to the mouse buttons. You can use m to make the reticle show permanently. Alternatively you can use a draw tablet instead of the mouse. /m

I streamed this game on twitch the moment it became available. From the start, I was having a ton of fun! The life/time mechanic is awesome and leads to some extremely intense victories! The bosses each have their own mechanics and patterns, and they all felt different from fight to fight. The first four bosses were defeated with 0:00 on the clock which means you can’t be hit again or you’ll die, so this definitely led to some heart pounding moments! There are different abilities you can use to overcome the boss, but these abilities come with a cost, time. If you choose a dash ability, that subtracts 15 seconds from your overall start time to defeat the boss. There are passive abilities which do not effect time, and these abilities can help with attack speed, movement speed, damage negation, or even help with picking up shards to power your abilities. During my stream, two members of the development team stopped by, gifted subscriptions to my channel, and were overall extremely friendly. I have truly enjoyed this game and for somewhere between $10-15, I think its a great deal for a great game. Cheers all!

RICO

RICO

if you ever watch Hollywood action cop movie or John Woo’s cop movie that’s what you expected from RICO except no jumping in this game. door kicking simulator is the short thing to describe RICO, you know door kicking slow-mo in almost every Call of Duty or in Medal of Honor Warfighter. The game focus on CQC combat with generate room, object, and enemies also random bomb objectives that so frustating, it’s sound easy enough but the hardest part you never know what’s waiting for you in there. Every time i play this game i wanna play Sabotage music from Beastie Boys.

Real player with 83.0 hrs in game

Good, in kind of a repetitive manner, but it’s likely I have played RICO more than I should have, until I finally deinstalled the game.

Mostly because the bomb timers can be a pain in the ass on higher difficulties and even on easy towards the end of a case.

The fact that you can try the last mission of a case only once, and upon failure you have to start with a new one all over again - without your arsenal - is really bloody annoying.

The daily or quick missions take care of that problem. No worries if you mess up there, you can just try again.

In this game, immersed in a geometrical cosmic atmosphere, accept the quest as a space ninja and defeat monsters that bring harms to the universe.

To battle and overcome what your opponent will throw at you, use your weapons to slash through the enemy bullets and return their fire by sending your power shurikens straight to their blocks!

In this highly re-playable game; improve your score on every run by optimizing your unlocked skills and use of different weapons, and aiming to the weak points of enemy monsters.

Dredgers

Dredgers

This is tough, because I love this game and it’s concept. It’s so fun! I have a lot of praise for it.

Unfortunately, I feel like I can’t recommend it at this time for two reasons:

  1. Missing basics like any type of saving, which pretty much everything I’ve played since the days of shareware has had, seems quite sloppy. The display of the amount of hours I’ve played isn’t really correct: most of that has been on pause because I didn’t want to exit and lose all my progress on the run.

  2. Do you know how my last run ended? No? Neither do I. Based on all the information I had, it didn’t make sense. Many key things are just not explained, so new players are going to go through several baptisms by fire, creating a lot of frustration.

Pretty solid roguelike with emphasis on speedy playthroughs and choosing your next step, though that can be its weakness too. Its big selling points are the 30+ races and crazy class combinations which are very very satisfying to play with, as well as actual honest-to-god necromancy where you can have a zombie horde if you want. Or you could skip zombies altogether, dominate the minds of your enemies, send them at your foes, blow up their (animate or inanimate) corpses into a huge mess when they die and then revive them and your former foes as skeletons. Full crafter build is viable, and thats before we get onto races. Pretty much anything that spawns in the dungeon is something you can unlock and play pretty quickly. Only exception afaik is the slime MAN (you can be a regular slime) but I suspect that’ll be implemented in time.

Quick Rundown:

–———————-

The good: Gameplay mechanics are solid, if a bit simplistic.

The bad: Exceptionally difficult to find others to play with.

Verdict: A hopeful 6/10 in its current state. Fun for a quick romp but disappointed about not having enough friends to play with. Interface, matchmaking, and netcode need a few tweaks.

Potential: 8/10 with a solid-buy recommendation if matchmaking gets an overhaul. Once the multiplayer community gets up and running,

I mean its an alright game when it’s on sale anyway but the main reason I got it is because I wanted to collect the trading cards to make the badges that this game had. The game itself does in fact keep me entertained though I really wish it still had its badges…

Sorry although the game itself is alright I’m really upset that it doesn’t have its badges anymore…

-Maybe bring the badges back for this game??

You occasionally get lots of drops on the first few stages which really helps and got me to the end. This is a pretty basic game but it has a bad b movie charm about it, enough to keep me entertained.

Waves 2: Notorious

Waves 2: Notorious

This game, even as early access is one of the best shooters I’ve ever played. (I’m not young been gaming for 30 years.)

Without doubt anyone who liked Waves original will love this game. It’s just better in every way. The same goes for Geometry wars fans, I love that series (Geometry wars 3 was best IMHO) but Waves 2 equals that. It really is that good.

The game play itself is fast, frantic, addictive and looks better than most games of this genre.

The menus are somewhat confusing at first, but this is offset by the great game play. Arcade is easy to jump into, but other than that the menus are not really intuitive. May seem like a small thing, and the game is still early access so once it’s easy to understand all the options it will be much more beginner friendly.

Real player with 569.8 hrs in game

This is one of those games for twitch/adrenaline junkies - of which I am NOT one - that will ensnare regular scrubs with its addictive nature. It’s fast and furious, and currently all about the season leaderboards. A short game only lasts a few minutes long, but if you’re skilled, you can rack up the score and dominate people who play for longer periods of time.

I love this app, but be warned: it’s been in development for a few years. The Developer is active in the forums, and he/she responds to the community frequently. Parts of the game have changed SIGNIFICANTLY since it got the green light from Steam. The bottom-line is that this is already a lot of fun, but it’s not finished, and could change again.
