AK-xolotl is a top-down arcade battle arena shooter featuring the cutest amphibian. You’re an axolotl with an AK (duh!) that goes on a rampage, shooting down their next meal! Your goal? Dominating the leaderboards, of course.
Face off against increasingly chaotic waves of walking preys, with the aid of powerful weaponry and abilities. In single-player and co-op modes, hunt your meal and feed the baby axolotl who look insanely bad-ass with a gun.
Want to impress the community? The more enemies you demolish, the higher your score! Keep it going and you’ll be splashing onto the leaderboards in no time.
Fun fact: Did you know Axolotls can regenerate their limbs?

Rogue Star Rescue
Rogue Star Rescue is a fun top down twin stick shooter that really shines when it comes to multiplayer. There are a variety of guns, each with a fairly unique feel, to find and use to blast through the levels. The main story mode features a variety of levels connected in a branching map (think Starfox 64). Each different path has a potential way to reach one of the 32 different endings. This coupled with the randomized room layouts, guns, and items gives Rogue Star Rescue a fair bit of replay-ability. The core gameplay loop is fun, and there are multiple higher difficulties where enemies are more numerous to keep things from feeling too easy. There is a whole trap system, but that only comes into play during boss battles at the end of each stage. There is a wave survival mode focused around those boss rooms if you want to focus on the tower defense aspect of the game.

This is a great multiplayer game. I had plenty of fun with friends on this one. It can be challenging but not alright unforgiving. A good game to pickup for professionals looking for a slightly more relaxed time and some laughs, or for a new player to this genre to pick up this style of game.
There is multiple routes, a few characters, unlockables, and difficulty selector for one to want to replay the game multiple times. There was some quirky moments like somehow I’m inside a room and my friend will teleport into the room and land right into enemy fire, or on rare occasions where the door won’t open for them at all causing me to have to clear the room by self. Overall, no too devastating bugs that is a deal breaker. I am sure they will be smoothed out over time.

Bought it for about ten cents with one of those steam coupons. I didn’t expect much, well it costs as much as a bubble gum. And it gave me about as much fun as a bubble gum.
You have a space ship, flying around and killing other space ships. Half of the features implemented don’t work, and it feels rather bad to steer. It’s the kind of game you do when learning a programming language, and as it was made with unity, it took the creator probably 10 minutes to create. It is definitely not worth the 99 cents, but for 10… Hey, it’s ten minutes of fun.

AngerForce: Reloaded
I recently picked this gem up for $4.50 USD.. I spent that much on a cup of coffee each morning, so I didn’t really think twice about grabbing this as from what I was able to see, it looked like a really good tate shooter (vertical scrolling/shoot’em up).
Did I get my monies worth?
A resounding YES!
As some of you on my friends list might of guessed, I am a fan of Space Invaders. It was one of the first games I had my hands on when I was still only a baby macroni in the late 80’s early 90’s, that along with other classic’s like Duck Hunt, PacMan and Mario, filled my childhood with joy. I found the Raiden series mid 90’s along with Star Fox and it was around that time I realized I just love shooters.

One is my favorite shmups on Steam.
This game is a really beginner friendly way to get into the genre because the difficulties and the levels curve out nicely. And on the highest difficulty even veterans will find some challenge.
The four characters play very different from another which is great to mix up gameplay.
Movement is interesting as well: by holding one of two buttons you can enter fast or slow mode. Slow mode makes it harder to evade certain projectiles but it fills up your special meter.

ASSAULT SHELL
Even though I’ve yet to 1CC the game, i can strongly recommend it for any fan of shooting games (shmups), because this is made by a developer who knows what makes one good.
Edit: 1 Credit Cleared it 3 times now. I like it even better than previously!
