Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity
This review might be biased based on my likings on anything Touhou related alone but here we go.
I’ve always had a liking for Touhou, every fanmade game deserves a try, but this one is special.
Touhou Koukishin ~ Adventures of Scarlet Curiosity serves up as a great example of a game completed by cult-like zealot - its own community. Its cover illustration came from Matsukichi , the guy who used to draw about 300 portraits of Momiji Inubashiri. The song made by Hachimitsu-Lemon, a doujin music circle I yearn for its great use of various orchestral instruments since Silver Scenery album released in 2014 (though they sometimes produce EDM/Rock genre). It’s shivering how the personalities I’ve been a fan of for years work together to make great content of a game.

When I see a new Touhou game, I buy instantly.
I literally refresh my page every minute just to buy it.
As a fan of the Touhou Project,
I have been waiting for this game to be released on the computer ever since I found out it can
only be played on the PS4. In this game, you play as either the vampire; Remilia Scarlet, or her devoted
! and dedicated maid; Sakuya Izayoi. Each of them possesses unique battle skills. Remilia specializes in melee combat, Sakuya specializes in ranged. There is also occasions to play as Remilia’s sister; Flandre Scarlet on flashback sequences. During the course of the game, you will be able to find equipments and accessories that would be able to boost Remi and Sakuya’s stats either by attack, defense, etc. Both Remilia and Sakuya each have their unique storylines depending on who the player picked to play as. As mentioned earlier, there is an option to play flashback sequences as Flandre. The gameplay combined with smooth frame rates makes it easier to dodge and play smoothly, however, there is an option to choose the settings before you start. There are some returning bosses players might find familiar with. Each of them has attack patterns players would need to memorize if they want to defeat them. Overall, the art combined with the interesting storylines are beautiful mixed with a relaxing soundtrack. This game can be hard even if you play on easy if you are a beginner. But you will soon get the hang of it if you practice.

Prologue for a Vacant Kingdom
This game completely caught me by surprise. Looking around steam for the fun of it, and while in the bullet hell genre, stumbled upon this (seemingly) hidden gem. Really glad I found it too, especially with it being a free demo currently.
Runs smooth (will 100% revisit when I have access to better way of playing it), core gameplay itself is good, liked the few characters currently available to meet, simple but satisfying puzzles, well placed secrets, and the humor was absolutely on point. Bosses are really nice, especially the last/hidden one. Music is enjoyable and adds to the game further. Balances danmaku and RPG aspects much better than I expected for, again, what it currently is. Being a demo for a game in development, it’s a bit on the short side, but it’s to be expected with it being a demo. If you’re reading this and have not downloaded it, as mentioned, it is completely free and astonishingly small, making it super easy to quickly play with the nonexistent download time.

So I really enjoyed the game the dialogue between characters is funny the game plays super smoothly and it’s story is interesting can’t wait to see the full release. The difficulty is legit too I beat everything on hard minus the last boss the bouncing mechanic plus not being able to see the full floor without dragging the camera down running into bullets you can’t barely see was too much and frustrating for me props to the people who get it though I had to do it on easy. The Puzzle was way too much for me as well had to knock that down in difficulty my full play through with commentary here! https://youtu.be/h3z-x7ptL3w

Equip yourself and battle your way to the bottom of the caverns by surviving a challenging series of ever evolving dungeons filled with dangerous foes and fearsome bosses.
The Adventures of John Killbot
A fun 2D shooter rpg with a small story and really fast action. This game is best played with a joystick. There is an option to play with keyboard and mouse, but it’s much easier to control with a joystick.
Three Fairies' Hoppin' Flappin' Great Journey!
I’m nearing the (standard, not postgame) end of Three Fairies' Hoppin' Flappin' Great Journey and so far, I’ve had a pretty good time. At first, the game will present itself as a fairly simple RPG with an Active Time Battle system. Very soon you will however find out that manually choosing actions is very inefficient and will likely make you lose battles. Your enemies never take time to think and pick their actions without delay and you’re meant to do the same: With a tactics system.
Basically, you can design behaviour tables for each fairy that they will automatically adhere to. This is done by giving certain actions priority over others and using “if…then do so and so” conditions. Overall, it works splendidly. If you’re worried that the tactics system might be too inflexible, know that you can edit your tactics mid-combat. Later bossfights make this practically mandatory.

If you liked the idea of FF12’s gambits, but felt they weren’t fully realized, this is the game for you. The tactical starts out with simple elements, but you can make it more and more intricate as the game progresses. The english translation is not perfect, but you definitely shouldn’t have any trouble following the story or understanding the mechanics. You get to meet and fight a lot of different characters, all with their own unique tactics. The only real criticism I can offer is that you never visit any of the well known locations, and instead just travel between various generic biomes, including some very non-canon ones.

Tormenta do Tempo
Very cute and fun game in retro graphics! Great soundtrack and good storyline will give you lots of hours to complete. I suggest you play this game with a gamepad as it is a lot easier and in my opinion more fun. It is very satisfying to kill the monsters
