NOISZ
It was about time I write a proper Review of one of my favorite Video Games in Existence.
‘Kay here I go.
NOISZ is a Masterpiece.
I love 99.99% of it.
But with the upcoming 2.5 Update, it shall be over 9000%, hahahah funny meme.
Alright more details.
Story is very well-written and engaging.
Though when you gather absolutely all the Events of both NOISZ and re:||VERSE and analyse, there can be some oddities in the Continuity.
NOT SPOILING !
The Origin of it are Plot Twists, obviously.
At least, we don’t reach Kingdom Hearts level of Absurdity.

The description pretty much explains about this game: this is a mix of bullet hell and rhythm game. Now, a similar, much more popular game of “avoid these things that come out in sync with the music” is Just Shapes & Beats, but there’s a fundamental difference between NOISZ and Just Shapes & Beats. Just Shapes & Beats is just a plain bullet hell game that happens to have good music; you don’t need to have a sense of rhythm to excel in it. On the other hand, NOISZ is also a rhythm game. In NOISZ, you can only take an action every beat, which means despite all the bullets coming at you, you must maintain that rhythm in your head.

Just Shapes & Beats
When I first played this game it was just to impress my big brother on a like $500 vacation but now iv’e gotten pretty addicted. The games really good amazing story line and a very hard set of songs. And now that iv’e played the lost chapter the story makes a lot more sense. The ending blew my mind not giving any spoilers but some people may know what I mean. Also Annihilation is insane. But when it comes to making a game using square as the main character I was not expecting this much work and progress put into this. If you haven’t played this game yet and are just reviewing it play it know you won’t be disappointed. Well that’s all I have to say can’t wait for the next update!

Soundodger 2
Already I can see how much work has been put into this game- and it is a major step up from the flash version. It works amazingly, plays good, and most importantly: shows some very promising music. I recommend you check this out, and play through it.
I’m so excited to see the future of this game.

basically Soundodger+ but with a few very good changes:
-
it’s way smoother
-
additional tiny animations
-
3 new cool bullets
-
more cool options for the bullet object
-
10 different layers instead of one
-
prefabs
-
bpm snap
-
literally seven new effects
-
cool backgrounds and large theme creativity
-
player settings (which is cool for challenges)
-
overall less limits
and I like all of these additions!

Beat Da Beat
The plot, man. The plot on this game is the best i’ve seen on any other game.
Nah, jk. This game is…strange. At least, that was my frist though of this game. Different doesnt means bad, tho.
Only con i’ve seen is that you cant see the ending (Because of a bug or something; not solveable for what i’ve seen).
After completing the badass difficulty i can assure you that this game isnt hard at all. I mean, I can beat da beat, but I cant beat Jigoku Kisetsukan in normal diff.
Music is quite enjoyable and stuff. It’s short in my personal opinion, but it has a lot of replayability.

This game is FANTASTIC !
-
Top tier pixel art and great design
-
A catchy soundtrack that is 100% in sync with the action
-
Easy to play, but still challenging
-
A dozen of ships to try, upgrades and a nice replay value
The game is short (4 actual levels and 4 bosses) but remains pretty addictive. And for that price, the experience is definitely worth the shot. If you don’t feel something for this game at the third track, go ahead and ask a refund.
So… that’s when you wonder if I checked the wrong box by giving a negative review.

Color War
Long ago the rainbow relic was shattered, taking away all of the worlds colors with it. The shards of color found it’s way into some lucky hands and color factions were formed. And for some reason, it’s your job to help fix it. You play as a cat dude and fight your way through extremely difficult bullet hell style boss battles in an attempt to get back home and out of this strange world. In the process, you’ll make many friends and enemies.
The game switches between a lively top-down overworld to a straight on bullet-hell boss rush type game. You’ll fight many different bosses while attempting to bring together the color shards. There is different modes for varying levels of difficulty, so if you just want some casual play there are options, as well as a very difficult mode for those seeking a challenge.
Project Arrhythmia
It’s a cool game.
But you’re not here for a simple review like that, are you? You want me to tell you WHY it’s a cool game. A detailed review, yes. So here’s that:
-There are countless levels out there to play, and SO MANY are worth your time. The workshop is constantly updated with new levels from the community to check out. There really is infinite content.
-Bullet hell/music dodging type gameplay takes a focus here. If you’re into that, you’re in for a treat.
-The game’s menu aesthetic fits the vibe it’s going for - the whole computer terminal look fits the (upcoming) story, and is executed really well.

Since Project Arrhythmia is in early access, I’ll try to go easy on its work and design. After watching people PA levels on YouTube, I thought it would be nice if I could design some levels myself. Note that this review has been revise on 7/18/2020. I do not hate the game, but it has issue that I need to address.
-Menu-
When I install the game, the menu wasn’t presentable; there were 8 options (Story, Arcade, Editor, Config, Discord, Credits, News, and Exit) on the top left and a ton of blank space while music was played in the background. I’m not to sure if there was suppose to be a style theme to this game. I noticed anytime text appear, it comes out like a code. With a game that shows effects and colors, you wouldn’t expect the main menu to look dead. All that bank space, yet nothing to fill in.

Vectorium
While Vectorium is a quality arena shooter, it all feels a bit too standard. It checks all the right boxes, except the ‘innovation’ one. I would also say that if you plan on playing with a keyboard and mouse, it feels more like an excercise in memorizing the order of buttons to press. Something more akin to DDR or something. It’s hard to explain.
Pros:
+The crisp artwork and interface is nice
+The price is fair
Cons:
-There is nothing new here; this has all been done before

HyperCore : Rhythm Bullet Hell
HyperCore is a “Rhythm bullet hell”, mixing the frenetic action of classic bullet hell shoot’em up with semi-procedurally generated encounters based on the music.
Survive by avoiding the countless obstacles sent towards them by the core in sync with the music.
-
Score attack: Earn more points by taking more risks! Hug obstacles to increase your score multiplier.
-
Time Attack: Get hit. Die. Repeat. Try to stay alive for as long as possible in this unforgiving game mode.
-
Custom Song: Play with your own songs!
-
Local 2 player versus: compete with a friend locally.

A City Sleeps™
You get out of it what you’re willing to put into it.
A City Sleeps is basically my first experience with a bullet hell game (apart from a half-hour spent playing Ikaruga once). I really enjoyed how everything - your bullets, the enemy spawns, and the enemy bullets - is determined by the music. There are three stages - each stage contains two checkpoints on your way to the stage’s boss. There are three difficulty levels, with challenge twists on two of them - effectively making for five difficulty levels.

TLDR: Gimmick is you must assign ghosts to hotspots you control in a touhou game. Gets a bit too much to handle on top of the regular action. Play Beat Hazard2 instead.
The game actually is based around a radial menu with right stick. Then you can use shoulder pad buttons to assign spirits to spawners. A angry spirit spawner spawns bullets that hurts enemies, while a kind one will spawn healing tablets.
