Super Time Force Ultra

Super Time Force Ultra (STFU…) hits all the stereotypical tropes of an indie game. Fourth wall breaking humor, bright pastel colors, a synth soundtrack and of course retro graphics. Granted, this game came out in 2014, but today, frequent gamers might be sick of this. Despite that, the game certainly is still worth checking out. Behind the bad, immature humor lies a very apparant, unique and interesting game mechanic: the ability to rewind time and to run next to your former self.

After playing through both Normal and Super Hardcore Mode I can say that this game was definitely worth the asking price.
Super Time Force Ultra (STFU) is actually surprisingly deep after you get over the overwhelming game mechanic they throw right in your face moments into the tutorial. If you explained it to someone it’d be simple:
“It’s a side-scrolling run ‘n gun game except you can rewind time if you mess up.”
But once you get your hands on it you’ll start to realize it’s so much more then just “rewind if you mess up”. You can rewind to help yourself kill a boss in 2 seconds instead of 15. Speed up certain stage segments by being in multiple places at once all at the same time, etc, etc.

Killer Chambers
started playing it while the last few things were getting fixed
but it made me forget completely that i have sekiro ready waiting for me
(I’ve got the game the same day sekiro was released)
i only managed to get through the first 2 worlds at the moment of this review
the first few levels can be a bit rough on you, at least till you get used to the mechanics
but after a bit of practice all the fun comes out of it and it gets rewarding
I found the variety in the shops, with all the items and the hats that you can change,

A massive undertaking to reach the core of a new galaxy. You and your crew found unknown materials and started to upgrade your ship to become one of the most powerful ever. While harvesting the new core materials you came across something even more unbelievable … The Core Message. The Core Message has and will change everything for anyone who hears it.
Before you could finish the upgrades on you ship, a massive armada of ships appeared on the radar, weapons charging! With a half finished ship, you and your crew barely escaped the galaxy core trying to return to your home world to deliver The Core Message while being hunted by an armada of powerful unknown alien ships.
Even though your ship is only half finished, it still possesses some of the most powerful weapon and shield systems ever created by mankind:

A weapon only known as the Destabilizer, instantly breaks any known material apart on the subatomic level.

Flewfie’s Adventure
You play as a Cat in a UFO! AND you get to dress it up in super adorable costumes! What more can you possibly want?
Playing this game has been a sincere pleasure!
About the game:
Flewfie’s Adventure is an uber cute action-adventure game with 3 difficulties (Easy, Normal, and Hard) where you fly through 5 really creative Worlds blasting monsters with the main goal of stopping the evil cat Uzzu who stole a prototype UFO from Scientist Snail and is unleashing chaos throughout the cosmos. Each World features 5 levels with different environments and new monsters and their own mini-bosses AND also 3-4 Big Boss levels. In each Level there are 5 coins to collect and a hidden puzzle room to save a Bundrop. ‘100%‘ing’ a level (getting all coins and saving the Bundrop) will unlock a chest in the World Map containing a new costume piece for Flewfie or a new skin for your UFO which can increase Attack Power or Defense. There are also side quests you can complete which reward you with even more skins!

Flewfie’s Adventure is an enjoyable and charming game. It is very clear that a lot of attention was paid to the visual aesthetic of the game. There are a vast variety of enemies populating the different worlds, all with adorable and unique designs. The worlds themselves have levels that visually vary from level to level so nothing gets stale. As for game-play this is definitely on the casual side for the genre. I died once or twice towards the end on normal mode. While there was a jump in difficulty by worlds 4 and 5, there was always an abundance of health that ensured I wouldn’t die as long as I retreated from the rougher encounters. And honestly that’s fine, it just might be worth starting off on hard mode. With that being said, the shooty-shooty stuff was still fun and reactive. Something I didn’t expect was how many boss fights there were, with about three or four per world, and a lot of them had cool designs and attack patterns.
