To preface this review, this game was offered to me via a newly created curator page I set up, “Psychology, Philosophy & Thought” (thought as in thought-provoking) so it’s worth mentioning first of all that I was offered a review copy and it was free to me. Although I won’t be reviewing it on the curator page due to me feeling like it doesn’t really fit on there, I thought I would write a review for it regardless.

Great game, figured i should change my review after awhile since the game has changed a lot since i wrote this review. Anyway, id reccomend this game to others, a fun game concept and has gone along ways from where it used to be.

SO quick little things to say quickly to people hopping on this game, first off, this games options, especially vid options, dont really work, for example, try changing your resolution, it it instead changes bit quality, and from other times ive messed with the options, they’ve had issues with not working or being weird or such, but from my current testing, it seems only video options have this issue, exept ambiant sound is always stuck at 0? I dont know but thats all with ui.

ESCAPE FROM VOYNA: Dead Forest

This is the same game as “Escape From Voyna: Tactical FPS Survival” listed under the Developer “Dead Crow”

I’m not sure what is going on here. Both games are absolutely terrible. Skip completely.

PUSS!

PUSS!

after a long time i finaly beat this game and trust me it is harder than it looks, i think this game diserves a lot more attention that it is getting.

its sad because its really just luck if these sort of inde games become popular. There are lots of inde horror games like this that get huge amounts of attention on youtube because one youtuber plays a game, then fans recommend that game to other youtubers who play it, then even more youtubers play that game because they saw someone else play the game and they think it would make for a good video, it crates a domino affect of popularity. Im not saying this is a bad thing but it sort of means that you just have to get a little bit lucky. it means that a lot of games that are really good like this one will not be as popular because they are not picked up and advertised by youtube gamers. Let me give an example, recently a game by the name of baldi’s basics in education and learning was picked up and played by youtubers and became very popular though a big wave of popular gaming youtubers playing it. You my or my not have herd of it but a LOT of youtubers played it. Others may disagree but I don’t think it was a very good game, it was ok, but it didn’t bring anything new to the table, it wasn’t very well scary and the gameplay was very RNG based and not really entertaining. You may disagree but they only reason it gained popularity was because one youtuber played it and others followed suit.

Awesome Vaporwave/Glitch art aesthetics wasted on an ungodly abomination of game design. It is truly baffling how one could screw up such a simple idea. Your goal is to move your cursor around a labyrinth without colliding with (often moving and dynamic) geometry, you know, like in the internet classic Scary Maze (the game actually has a level referencing it, so bonus points for that). The levels themselves are absolutely amazing, each one of them is a separate work of Vaporwave art, accompanied by equally sweet soundtrack (composed out of truly bizarre samples, just like Vaporwave should be). Everything moves, glitches out, the mazes suddenly change in shape, and there are a lot of gimmicks to spice things up.

I have never been a fan of bullet hell games reason being is that I always can’t keep up with the action that is going on the screen and I usually give up if it is too hard but as for Sora I liked it in fact I loved it and it is quite addictive, because it is manageable for me and I could say I did have a great time playing Sora. Sora tells the story of its namesake: the lone enhanced human, Sora, and her struggle to protect a fading world. Enjoy breathtakingly fast-paced combat in the Suguri universe, with improved game system and graphics along with original trance music by DEKU.

Let’s be honest.

If you’re buying this game, you’re buying it for Sora (Military) and that’s the only reason.

Same with the other games.

But that doesn’t mean it isn’t good in it’s own right.

Out of the games that give you bonus characters i’ve played (AoS 2 hasn’t been released yet, and i don’t care enough about Aru (Scramble) to get her game) this is most certainly the best. The gameplay is more refined and detailed, the story is much more deep than “QP wants pudding back” and it actually makes you feel bad for the characters, even some of the bosses.

Earth Attack

Earth Attack

Easiest game I’ve ever played. beat it on my first try and my keyboard doesn’t even work properly. watched some youtube guy struggle to get past the very first part but I’m not surprised considering he couldn’t even beat dark deception chapter 2. please add guns

Edit: After this amazing patch, I can finally shoot my very own gun. This is exactly the kind of developers our society needs. A man who sees feedback and listens. I may be only the second person to buy and review this game, but I know the first would be proud of such a talented man. This game is my life. I am sure everyone will enjoy this masterpiece now that the movement has been fixed. Also it is now too hard to die. every time I take damage the next shield upgrade has spawned and i have more health than i had before i took damage. Hopefully this bug is fixed. Until then I will continue to enjoy this game

In Extremis

In Extremis

A fun, challenging, unique and just plain surreal shoot em' up, would recommend.

Real player with 19.0 hrs in game

In Extremis, at a glance, plays more or less like your generic shoot-em-up/bullet hell game, but there are three major aspects make it stand out amongst the crowd: the visual/musical aesthetics, the customisation, and the variety of challenges present.

I will provide my criticism in the form of two lists, for things that I enjoyed and for things that I would suggest to improve the experience, respectively.

Things that I enjoyed in particular:

  • The level design. Would you rather shoot up an orchestra of sentient instruments, or a swarm of abstract female genitalia? It’s all here.
