I was not expecting to see TENGAI on Steam, but just look what the wind put in my way… This game is one of the most charismatic game from Psikyo, a horizontal scroll shoot ‘em up with waifus, ninjas, robots and all sort of weird things… I love this game and i can see in my mind my old times playing on the real arcade machine. This one and Strikers 1945-III are my personal favorites from Psikyo.
Solid STG… I just love everything about this game.

Wind of shuriken
A great game in the style of a classic platformer. Well done. I recommend it.

1-Bit Revival: The Residuals of Null
Technically there are 4 arcade games here so I am going to briefly describe what they are. It has an asteroid game, matching game, a pac-man(ish) arcade, and a platformer. As far as I can tell they are not exact copies when it comes to classics, but they work on the same basic principle. In general, I like how all of the games work, it’s just that achievements would take extremely long time to grind. The thing is, you would have to play them a lot for the difficulty to pick up, it’s just not something that I would spend my time on. Each game seems to get harder upon getting a specific score, and occasionally they introduce new elements such as harder enemies. It actually has a save function so you don’t have to grind achievements in one playthrough, but it only saves in specific spots. You can change the keyboard (default is Z+X+arrow keys) and it can be played on my 360. Frankly, I really like the presentation of the game with its minimalist cutscenes and catchy soundtrack.

TimeTekker
TimeTekker is a fun little (fixed-screen) arcade-style bullet-hell arena-survival game in which you play as a Space Ninja who has the ability to deflect enemy projectiles and slow down time.
The game has absolutely no story, whatsoever, and that is reflective of its arcade game nature. It is a game meant for the player to jump in and play, no questions asked.

Really love this game so far, it hits that perfect difficulty level for me as a 27 year old gamer. It’s more about brains then reflexes in otherwords!
The game seems hard at first, but as you get better Merciless becomes the perfect amount of Difficulty for extended play. (start out on easy/brutal until you get used to it)
In a nutshell, Timetekker has simple yet satisfying gameplay. Shoot, dodge, slow down time. On a deeper level you will need to be learning new strategies to make it onto the top of the leaderboard, ie. moving after shooting since time resumes after firing.

Guns and Grapples
I absolutely love this game! It takes a while to master, but I enjoy playing it. 8 hours in and I’m only on world 5 because you can play this game in so many different ways! Great for completionists, speed runners, and casual gamers! I normally can’t play platformers for long before getting bored. But the challenge this game provides keeps me hooked! I highly recommend trying!

Ninjin: Clash of Carrots
This game is cool, but has its drawbacks.
Things I like about this game in no particular order:
-
General Jam (He’s so cute!)
-
Run #5 soundtrack is awesome;
-
Soundtrack in general is awesome and very fitting;
-
Moe Junior is Moest Adorable, I legit listen to his OST unironically;
-
Corgi Junior stole my heart the first time I saw him;
-
I like the references in the inventory. Still wish I knew where is “Gothic Sword” item from.
In general, this game is 1) made in a very loveable artsyle 2) has awesome soundtrack 3) has tons of humour, amiable, vibrant characters and quite fun storytelling in it, it’s obvious that the developers enjoyed themselves when working on this project.

Just a disclaimer before this review, I did receive this game for free on Steam, but I preordered it on another platform immediately after seeing the trailer, which happened weeks before receiving that free copy. That’s just how hyped I was for this game!
Ninjin is an amazing experience, not to mention an even better co-op experience! I played with a friend online for the entire game, and gearing up and strategizing for each mission together and checking out new items in the shop is very fun to do. The online was incredibly smooth too; I did a delay test, and the delay is the exact same as voice chat so… it’s as good as it gets.

Nelo
So overall this game have very great potenial, but still has a few bugs that need to worked out. Like when I faced the first boss( which took me like 100 tried to beat on hero diff) I got it to one of its health stops when it goes invisible, and it was stuck in invulnerable state until I died which sucked because I was close to beating it. 2nd: There could be some kind of combo list. I noticed that there were times when my melees would turn red then purple ( I came to understand that purple stuns thing) but I had no clue how I performed said combo. 3rd: I feel there should be an option to what weapons I pick up. Sometimes I like using 4 rocket launchers or 4 assault rifles. 4th: Materials should be a bit easier to understand how to get them, I think I ran around the 1st open area for about an hour trying to figure out where to get the Mats to make a fusion key or scanner. 5th: I find it almost impossible to dodge enemies that spawn right above you and they use an attack and next thing you know you have to restart your combo (this happens even though I am constantly on the move). Above all I love the difficulty of the game, the back story could use some work but over all enjoyable. I really look foward to seeing the full release of this game. It has my support. When I showed some of my friends at work they were mind blown in a sense. But I dont like how people compare it to warframe. I see the simiularities but I think they are on 2 totally different levels.

Backed on Kickstarter
This game was tailored for people that 1. do not have epilepsy. 2. can handle sensory overload: the bullet hell junkies, the DMC and Nier: Automata fans, the Touhou addicts.
-
The screen will fill with enemies, your decisions within seconds will either result in the next wave of enemies or result in your death.
-
You must be mobile; yes, Nelo is fast, but the Nightsithe are just as fast.
-
Your enemies will reflect your damage back at you, dodge your attacks, teleport away or towards you, and even bullrush you.

Straimium Immortaly
If you like roguelikes that are done in a room-to-room format like Rogue Legacy or Pixel.Loot.Again, you should enjoy this.
If you liked Straima, you should enjoy this.
If you look at the video above and are amused or curious about the art style, you should enjoy this. The sound style is totally my thing too.
If you are looking for a hardcore roguelike, maybe give this one a pass. Unless more is added, the game isn’t too difficult to complete, and while there are unlockables, there aren’t all that many, and even fewer that significantly change the gameplay.

This was what I was looking for for so long… It turns out I’ve found my niche. Crazy s*** that makes no sense.
You would know if you would like this game just by looking at it. If the visuals seem… offputting, but the gameplay/tags tell you you want it, you should still get it.
In this game you will find:
-
A design choice that makes you swear you were high
-
Aliens that talk… well, not neccessarily “cute”, but in their own way. Whatever this item description means to you: “Worky Banga: Useable to magically changely item levely.”

Infinite Dronin
Let me start by saying this is not a game I usually play or would enjoy. It is just not my type of game. But.. that being said I put in about 28 hours just last week. At the moment of writing I am top 2 of the world for both maps. And I have played on twitch with support from the number one and getting sabotaged by the number 3 of the world.
No about the game. It is an infinite shooter, where you level up your support drone and fight enemies. Your main character starts at level 1 each run. A run lasts until you die. And as the title states the levels are infinite. Enemies keep getting stronger to a point that getting hit by a tiny monster on a very high level can take you out in one shot (though I haven’t gotten that far yet). So typically you will be doing longer and longer runs. After every run your drone gets xp and levels up, giving you more health and damage (allowing you to reach higher levels). It can be very grindy when playing alone. But it also has awesome Twitch integration, so other can send their (high level) drones to help you out and give you enormous health/attack boosts. Even people without the game can send drone to help and they will also level up. If that person later buys the game. They will start with their already leveled up drone. So sending a drone to assist a friend has two benefits: it makes the run easier for the player and you level up your drone without doing a single thing (other then sending it).

As written in the description Infinite Dronin is a roguelike hack-and-slash game. You fight your way through waves of enemies in consecutive arenas - always at your side your little steel buddy.
First of all the game does something right, it’s addicting: after every run you want to start a new one just to reach the next arena (and you were so close…). You get used to the enemy movements quite fast and with every level up of your drone you are able to get further. During a run there are plenty of different skills to choose from so every run is unique. As I don’t have a Twitch account I can’t really test and review the Twitch integration, but based on other reviews/gameplay videos it seems well implemented and a lot of fun.

Omega Blade
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/Z5xjUFRmWMU
Omega Blade VR is a challenge type / wave shooter, similar to Space Pirate Trainer, only not half as good. There are 20 total level challenges to try to climb up the leaderboards. They include stuff like your standard wave shooter (with a match color variant or shuriken throwing variant), to target practice with a sniper rifle within a limited time, to reflecting projectiles with blades and avoiding lasers by moving around.
