Freedom Finger
The silly and offensive art style is what drew me to this game, not the musicians or voice actors. Despite its cartoony look Freedom Finger is a proper shmup. You have a ship and you shoot enemies with plenty of bullets, enemies and walls to be dodged. The game has two unique game mechanics for a shmup namely grabbing and punching. It’s a bit unusual but it is quite fun. It allows for a lot of different ways to play a level.
Fortunately there’s no shop with upgrades for your ship, you can follow the story but also just hop into any level and start competing for the leaderboard. If you want an upgrade go grab an enemy ship!

The Adventures of John Killbot
A fun 2D shooter rpg with a small story and really fast action. This game is best played with a joystick. There is an option to play with keyboard and mouse, but it’s much easier to control with a joystick.

Toon Shooters 2: The Freelancers
We enjoyed this game. My wife and I played it only once… and we were hooked for over 3 hours without realizing it!
The game is fast paced, hard but not too hard (don’t forget to buy upgrades for your character) and there are already players online! Wow!
We could have been playing it even longer if we didn’t suddenly arrive into a creepy level with ghosts called “The Temple of Evil” or something like that. I really liked the space boss fighting part, but I really hate that occult vibe that all those games are trying to push all the time.

Nice graphics, if you like cartoony style. It’s crisp, colorful, and clean. You don’t lose track of what’s happening on screen.

There are a decent variety of ships to upgrade and items to buy. The replay value is good considering its price.

Minor cons. They did a poor job at explaining upgrades (but it’s not too hard to guess) and you can’t adjust audio volume in-game.

1: Shock - What the hell?!? I thought i’m good at computer games.
2: Denial - How is this Pastor jump even possible? I can’t believe somebody could design this game so badly.

5: Depression - I can’t take it anymore. uninstalls the game
6: Testing - If I do some more research on this Hobo level, maybe then I will beat it.

Anyways, its a 2 billion year old like rock, stone that protects against frequencies and unwanted frequencies that may be traveling in the air. So thats my story. Stringtropy is a game in progress that utilizes some quantum physics themed abilities in order to enhance the typical experience of a bullet hell styled game. The game is primarily a game where you and the enemies will attempt to eliminate one another, but be careful. You may quickly come to find you are your own worst enemy as your primary attack will bounce an infinite amount of times until it may come back to bite you in the butt! Can you beat the level before you become more dangerous to yourself?

Boom Box Blue!

Well, slow down guys.
The truth is that this game features 35 achievement that require basically grinding, and they can be completed within an hour - in fact, the hardest achievement requires us to reach the maximum level, and by doing this we’ll take the other ones too.
So, what’s it all about?
The game itself has a very basic tutorial, hovering upon the ? mark - we must collect stars, avoid red blocks, eat toasts to get bonuses, pick up bombs and drop them with the left mouse button.

“Nom nom nom! Boom!”
This dodge and collect-items game is so cool and appealing in gameplay. I like everthing about it. The soundtrack, the progressively leveling while collecting falling stars, different kind of enemies which you have to bomb away, unforseen special modes like winds that bursts too high grown towers of blocks or darkness that let you only survive in a small light cone. There are powerups. This time mushrooms make you smaller while hamburgers enlarge your box. (I would suggest to being smaller to survive longer) You even can vomit out the burgers if you don’t want to grow too big. You’ll reach all achievement requirements after about 1 hour. Depends if you invest more into stars falling from the sky (faster leveling) or more bombs, bigger explosions or lives (higher scores).

Flying Fury
Loosly based on WW2, you take control of your choice of plane (spitfire, lightning or zero). Try to survive as long as possible by dodging bullets and planes. The roll, canon and rockets will be needed on harder difficulties.
A side scrolling shooter with a bullet hell influence.
Does it explode? Yes. Everything does. Enemies show their battle damage through having chunks be blown off. There are multiple enemies all with unique behaviours, all which are designed in junction with each other.
Gorilla Guerrillas
Run, jump and shoot your way to freedom in an action platformer adventure as you lead your squad of Gorilla Guerrillas to liberate Hanuman Island from an oppressive military dictatorship.
Do you have what it takes to be a leader, fighter and liberator? Can you wear many hats?
Leader - Rescue loyalist compatriots and lead them into battle
Fighter - Fight the oppressors to overcome the military dictatorship
Liberator - Bring freedom to the gorillas of Hanuman Island

NEAR DEADline
I love this game so much! I have been loving it ever since I played it back on newgrounds, it controls like dogshit but I still love the gameplay! I especially love the into cutscene and all the sprite work in the game, very cartoony and lovable!
Also the coding is nice, this is for you, brandy. Still never got credited for the clown animation. 9/10

7.5/10 — A lot of self-mockery and humour — indicating we shouldn’t take this free piece to_o serious — but definitely worth my time!
