One Way Road

One Way Road

In the foreseeable future, humanity has turned its gaze into space. A new era has come - the era of space exploration. After settling the planets of the Solar system, it was time to explore and colonize new worlds and star systems. What previously considered impossible, became a reality. Science has reached unprecedented heights, people around the world have united, forgetting about ageless conflicts and feuds.

However, along with great discoveries, new troubles appeared in people’s lives. The long-awaited meetings with extraterrestrial civilizations dragged mankind into a new round of military conflicts, and the struggle for resources and habitable territories only intensified the differences between different species.

The appearance of a new player on the galaxy map and a huge number of bloody wars did not go unnoticed. From the very center of the galaxy, a new rival is approaching us. Its power is immeasurable, and its intentions are unknown.

The player will take control of a spaceship as the captain of the Space Fleet Command, James Dekker. Together with a team of recruits, on a battle-worn ship, you will look into the most remote corners of the galaxy, engage in combat with many enemies, fight with entire fleets, protect not only the Earth but all of humanity.

Fascinating and interesting storyline.

Trying on the role of the Space Fleet Command captain James Dekker, take part in numerous star battles, travel the galaxy in search of answers, fight for the survival of humanity.

Progression system.

Distribute experience points, improve ship systems, install new equipment. Adjust the ship under the playstyle you have chosen, or adapt yourself by choosing the optimal battle tactics.

Variety of game mechanics.

Fight in outer space, on the surface of planets, among dense asteroid fields, and even inside a huge space station. Take control of a heavy space fleet cruiser as well as a small officer fighter.

ARCH STONE vs The Zombie Specters is another Archor Games classic. You play as ARCH STONE, a tactical blue sweater enthusiast, out to save the world from a virus outbreak. Equipped with an array of powerful weapons, strong knee attacks, intense vehicles, and the all important blowmo button (press ‘b’ for blow motion), you will wade through mercs and specters to get to the end of levels.

I enjoyed my time with this game and am always looking forward to see what the developer is working on next (they have been cotninually upping their game and its great to experience).

1)Story/Concept :

| Single Player | Shooter | Arcade |

| Bullet Hell | Side Scroller | No Campaign |

Endocrisis is a pure Side Scroller-Shoot’em Up (Shmup) inspired by some classics of this genre like Darius,Gradius or R-type!While it doesn’t feature a true campaign, the main goal of the game is to beat the stages that the game offers, until you unlock the final battle in order to beat the game.Every stage is being described as an emotion.Emotions like Anxiety,Fear,Panic are some few examples. You have to beat these stages,in order to reach the final battle with “THE MIND”-which is your mind ,that wants to control you and convince you to…not follow your emotions!

The mechanics of Endocrisis range from single runs similar to Steredenn (A channel favorite) to frantic bullet absorption that feels like the Ikaruga polarity switching (Another channel favorite). There is also an interesting resource management component that revolves around your available life which depletes based on the number of bullets you shoot, as well as raises based on the enemy bullets you absorb. Essentially, if you love auto-fire in Shoot’em ups, you will need to learn to conserve in certain stages. These mechanics bound with the Neon color palette and slick enemy designs collide in an interesting game that is even more impressive when you look at the fact this is the developer’s first published title.

Retexo Mori

Retexo Mori

“Above all, we hold this to be irrefutable: Death is the only True Evil. Retexo Mori.”

  • Daily Prayer of the Unyielding

Retexo Mori is a Pac-Man-like game in first person, with bullet hell elements and an aesthetic that clashes early 90’s FPS pixel-art with vaporwave. It features short, high-intensity rounds inside carefully crafted arenas where you must navigate, avoid, and outwit Shadows that pursue you relentlessly. It is easy to understand, but difficult to master: while the enemies behave predictably, in tandem they can easily box you in if you don’t think far enough ahead.

Gamers as old as I am might remember the Amiga classic “Alien Breed” where up to two players at once infiltrated a base full of aliens, shooting their way through to collect key cards and upgrades to be able to progress further. Of course, “Alien Breed” wasn’t a twin-stick shooter - twin sticks weren’t a thing back then - but there’s a lot “Space Revenge” does similarly.

While “Space Revenge” doesn’t quite get the atmosphere of the classic right - especially not in the musical department - many other boxes are ticked. The combat? Difficult. It’s one man against many, and health packs are in short supply. Despite the corridors of the base looking rather spacious they quickly become rather small once several enemies spawn more or less on top of you. Add a heavy enemy into the mix and the whole ordeal becomes deadly very quickly. This isn’t a game to rush through, you’ll have to move slowly and aim carefully to succeed.

Horde Of Plenty

Horde Of Plenty

I was going to post this review 3 years ago, but i didn’t, so now i am. My computer can NOT run this well even at low settings, but from what i could grasp. it’s a basic twin stick shooter. No harm, No Foul. that being said if they can make the game run better, than maybe i could recommend it

for some context I was given a code by the Devs on Christmas of 2017 or 2016 (can’t remember)

Edit: Geez they got rid of the Keyboard and Mouse, that’s a bummer

Edit 2: I have a Pentium j2900 with 4 gb of Ram so ya maybe thats why it doesn’t run well.

This was a fun and quick to pick up twin-stick shooter. The artwork looks great and I liked the fact that each level had different goals to reach to either be quick and casual for new players, or more difficult for people wanting a harder challenge.

ALPHA CENTAURI SPACE FORCE

ALPHA CENTAURI SPACE FORCE

Astoundingly Awesome Shoot Em Up, Iv’e still got a lot of practising to do and i am only on the first main level, what i have seen so far is very impressive, with great smooth Joy-Pad controls which also makes you practise because you have your main fire weapon and a target you also can control with the right analogue stick when selected to destroy out of reach enemies and a super weapon, you can change your speed as well on your ship to make it go faster or slower, Totally mind blowing graphics and very good music (Drum & Bass, Dub-step style), The more I progress i will keep adding to my review, Overall i highly recommend this game with lots of potential even in its early access stage…lots of practise and lots of fun…Buy this game if you love shoot em ups..Excellent work..Love it :)

CYBERUSH

CYBERUSH

I’m not quite sure what to say about ‘CYBERUSH’, it’s a manga style shooter that is very light on just about everything. You get to pick a choice of 3 weapons which are sword, gun and shotgun and you kill enemies with them then goto the lift up to the next level which seems to be a constant rotation of about 5 office style layouts. From its annoying music to the basic graphics this game is as low quality as they come, but the biggest issue is that it doesn’t really have playability to back it up. Even the money I collected in the game seemed to be for nothing. This is certainly not something I would recommend for £7.19, but if some issues get fixed it might be worth a quid or two. https://youtu.be/httvkuexin4
