SUPERVERSE

SUPERVERSE

Playing Superverse is really awesome experience.

Whole universe against you, just like old retro games when we were saving world and universe from bad guys, those were good old times. What can one wish for more.

Excellent graphics and fluid gameplay is something that is typical for this game.

Tested on keyboard which can be playable but i recommend with Joypad. It is totally different experience.

Once you get used to controls it becomes very natural and easy to play even versus tougher opponents.

I love rhythm-based games!

This is a very fun and challenging experience, with a lot of customization and unlockable content. I really like the simplicity of the art style (it has kind of an outrun-esque feel to it), and the music is really good, very catchy.

1)Story/Concept :

| Single Player | Shooter | Arcade |

| Bullet Hell | Side Scroller | No Campaign |

Endocrisis is a pure Side Scroller-Shoot’em Up (Shmup) inspired by some classics of this genre like Darius,Gradius or R-type!While it doesn’t feature a true campaign, the main goal of the game is to beat the stages that the game offers, until you unlock the final battle in order to beat the game.Every stage is being described as an emotion.Emotions like Anxiety,Fear,Panic are some few examples. You have to beat these stages,in order to reach the final battle with “THE MIND”-which is your mind ,that wants to control you and convince you to…not follow your emotions!

The mechanics of Endocrisis range from single runs similar to Steredenn (A channel favorite) to frantic bullet absorption that feels like the Ikaruga polarity switching (Another channel favorite). There is also an interesting resource management component that revolves around your available life which depletes based on the number of bullets you shoot, as well as raises based on the enemy bullets you absorb. Essentially, if you love auto-fire in Shoot’em ups, you will need to learn to conserve in certain stages. These mechanics bound with the Neon color palette and slick enemy designs collide in an interesting game that is even more impressive when you look at the fact this is the developer’s first published title.

Your game overall is really fun! i didn’t have time to play it with my friends but even just playing against the bots on multiplayer / campaign was fun! I have a few suggestions: Improve the AI a bit sometimes when i played multiplayer against they wouldn’t fight each other at all. Maybe add like armor or that is like an extra health bar or something. Bigger maps would be good the maps now are a bit too small imo and can get a bit to chaotic. But yeah overall really fun game.

Toon Shooters 2: The Freelancers

Toon Shooters 2: The Freelancers

We enjoyed this game. My wife and I played it only once… and we were hooked for over 3 hours without realizing it!

The game is fast paced, hard but not too hard (don’t forget to buy upgrades for your character) and there are already players online! Wow!

We could have been playing it even longer if we didn’t suddenly arrive into a creepy level with ghosts called “The Temple of Evil” or something like that. I really liked the space boss fighting part, but I really hate that occult vibe that all those games are trying to push all the time.

  • Fun gameplay. Tight control (it works fine with X360 controller).

  • Nice graphics, if you like cartoony style. It’s crisp, colorful, and clean. You don’t lose track of what’s happening on screen.

  • There are a decent variety of ships to upgrade and items to buy. The replay value is good considering its price.

  • Minor cons. They did a poor job at explaining upgrades (but it’s not too hard to guess) and you can’t adjust audio volume in-game.

Astebreed: Definitive Edition

Astebreed: Definitive Edition

First: ignore the “TOO EASY” reviews. They are jokes. None of them took note of score, 1CCed Hard mode or even COMPLETED it.

One of the best, most underrated indie games out there, made doubly impressive by the development company’s obscurity & status as part-time devs. Despite classic arcade-like design principles, it’s not a “nostalgia game”; it can hardly be described as “X meets Y”. Maybe Sin & Punishment’s cinematic on-rails presentation + a shmup’s bullet dodging + Alien Soldier’s sheer variety of stuff to do… but that wouldn’t really do it justice.

Real player with 48.1 hrs in game

This review will be primarily focused on the Definitive Edition release and it’s new features. Owners of the original version will automatically receive the Definitive Edition update for free.

SCORE: 8/10

Pros: Extremely fast-paced action with varying degrees of difficulty, absolutely stunning visuals (further enhanced particles and blur for the Definitive Edition), extremely memorable soundtrack (new tracks have been added), high replayability even for a considerably short game. Extensive (and even slighty interactive) gallery provides fans of the game a more in-depth look at virtually everything involved with the lore. Further enhanced optimization options (including higher resolution support).

BLUE SABERS: Early Mission

BLUE SABERS: Early Mission

Overview

Use conventional and three types of special weapons to overcome difficult situations.

Take control of the battlefield with support aircraft!

Long-established STG development team, Blue&White, the first new one in 13 years, and a new origin!

Story

More than a decade of warfare between the MUltinational COmpanys Community (MUCOC) and the International Unification Treaty Organization (IUTO) has left both sides exhausted and A stalemate had been reached.

To break the deadlock, the MUCOC fleet gathered its remaining forces and launched Operation Earth Descent.

Although the IUTOs were allowed to descend, they put up a desperate resistance to prevent the expansion of the front line.

However, there were not enough surplus forces, and the counter-offensive was left in the hands of a mish-mash of new recruits and reserve forces.

The name of the unit was the “Blue Sabres”.

Thus the battle later known as “Second MUCOC War” has began.

Gameplay

The main point of the game is how to make a way with powerful weapons and supply.

Break out of a difficult situation by mastering three types of special weapons, which are limited to normal armament and singular numbers.

Calling for your support aircraft, Garuda, allows you to refuel your special weapons and restore your ship’s shields.

The key to victory is the timing of calling the Garuda.

Features

  • A shmup with a unique supply system.

  • Dynamic camera work with 3D graphics added to the 2D shooting experience.

  • 7 stages + Tutorial

  • 6 ships + 2 support aircrafts

  • Gamepad supported.

Love it ! Already a great game, could become a must have with such potential !

Great game and an impressive bullet hell. A small note though is that a single enemy will spawn off screeen at the bottom, so just as a warning for if you can’t find that last enemy. This doesn’t change may rating though because for me that just shows that they can make the game even better. Honestly hoping for a multiplayer game mode though, because then things would get real interesting.
