Model Railway Easily
A very good simulation game. Like a relaxed version of Cities;Skylines without the pressure . It’s very easy to get the hang of once you get used to the way that track and objects are moved, placed etc..
No bad points, but three things would, in my opinion, improve the game further.
(1) A tool for easily joining the road sections. i.e drag & join.
(2) An indicator as to which way the track switches are set.
(3) A bridge or two to carry road surfaces over the water features.

Amazing game, not a train simulator but in my opinion the best and easiest game to build those giant miniature worlds you’ve always dreamt of. The graphics are pretty good compared to some of the other games, and the menu is so incredibly easy to use, even a toddler would understand it. If you’re doubting about buying this game, you could play the smaller, free christmas version of it to get an idea of what it is and if you like it.

Rule the Rail!
[EDIT:] I don’t recommend the Steam version anymore. It’s bugging out at least 5 times per hour, and is showing stuff as black blobs just before killing itself. If you have bought this program, you have the registered version at least. Download the 1.5 version from Brainbombers, take the js.bin file from Steams and put that in the Real version. Anything else you have uploaded is easily transfered afterwards. The only Real difference in the BB-version is that you can’t move the camera with your mouse, you have to use the two buttons up right.

Wild West Steam Loco
I recommend this game a lot. 15 dollars shouldn’t be the price, but it’s good. You must look in the community hub for help.

Rail Route is a mix between a railway management game, a train dispatcher game and a puzzle game. You task is to make trains ride , keeping a timetable and make some virtual money so you can invest in more track.
Depending on how you play, it can be very hectic or a very relaxed game. Extending tracks can be hard, because, like in real life, there are restriction. You cannot just put your track where you like. When you gain money and experience points, you can “buy” game upgrades, starting simple like an function to reverse a train direction automatically to high speed tracks, tunnels and so on.

Railroad Engineer
Railroad Engineer is a train simulation game. You build railroads, drive trains, collect resources, deliver goods, and watch cities grow. There several types of raw resources that spawn randomly on the map. You can build resource collection buildings to collect there resources and then transport them to manufacturing facilities to convert them into more advanced goods. There are also several different rail cars in the game, and each one is used to transport specific types of goods and resources. Ores can only be transported in ore cars, liquids in tank cars, and so on.
Resources and goods:
There are currently six raw resources in the game; wood, coal, iron, rock, food, and oil. These resources are collected by placing the appropriate resource collection building on the respective resource. Raw resources can then be transported to manufacturing buildings to be combined into more advanced goods and products. There are currently seven products in the game; lumber, steel, processed food, fuel, chemicals, and medicine. These are created at manufacturing facilities by combining raw resources and other products.
Rail cars:
There are currently four types of rail cars in the game; ore car, log car, box car, and tank car. Each car can only carry the appropriate resources and goods. Rail cars are produced at the Train Depot from steel. Make sure to have the appropriate cars for the resources and goods that you intend to transport.
Villages, Towns, and Cities:
You can create your own villages and grow them by supplying them with food. Villages start small, but in time can grow and eventually be upgraded into Towns, and then into Cities. Towns and Cities require more types of goods than just food, and you are able to build high density buildings such as low-rise and mid-rise apartments.
STATIONflow
Short version: Oh my, this is challenging and fun. I definitely like it more than I expected to!
Long version:
Deceptively simple at first then gets increasingly more difficult as you progress.
I don’t usually enjoy games that don’t have you working towards a specific, set goal, but this one makes it work by having “unlockables” to strive for, different levels with different challenges to them, and a cash incentive to go along with your score, so if you want to stay afloat, you’d be better off catering to all the possible exits/entrances/lines, which makes it challenging. Plus, while it never flat out FORCES YOU to, it’s implied that your “goal” is to serve all possible lines and entrances/exits.

This is exactly the kind of game I’m wired to enjoy; route-planning, optimization, and a small sprinkling of tedium. For the first 10 to 15 hours with the game I very much did enjoy it but as some of the issues became really obvious it led me to the conclusion that I cannot give a recommendation to this game in its current form.
My first issue is with the amount of content available in the game. As new NPC types are unlocked and develop new needs you will have some difficulty keeping up with it all, but that suddenly drops off after a couple hours of play leaving you with nothing much to do but optimize your network and build out the last couple stations that unlock later. There really needs to be more variety in NPC needs to flush out that mid to late-game. Perhaps more late-game shop types or new transportation methods, but it needs something. As it is there are 4 hours of laying the foundation for your system and expanding, 2 hours of optimizing, then an hour of doing nothing but watching your system operate until you decide to start a new map.

Ok so i decided to get EEP 16 Expert to pass the time during lock down.
IMPORTANT NOTE: First thing i will say from the start is to follow the tutorials, trust me they are worth it and you can build along side the videos, then you will realize how fluid and easy the system is. I also highly recommend joining the forum, where you will meet very friendly support who are more than willing to help and incl a English support section.
yes the tutorials is out dated and are in the process of getting updated, but it is still enough to get you started. again make use of the forum. Even though EEP is based on German rail system there is a small selection of models and tracks to have a US themed layout.

Tracks - The Train Set Game
A few things strike me about this lovely game:
-The cheerful piano music in the background. Together with the wooden railway-building and train-driving, the experience feels relaxing and meditative.
-The game’s creator has been wonderfully friendly and open to the early adopters of this game. He’s engaged and helpful and open to ideas…which is awesome.
-The game has a wonderfully calming and cheering effect on my train-obsessed 8-year-old son. He has ADHD and is on the high-functioning end of the Autism spectrum (aka Aspergers, prior to DSM-V). We’ve been collecting wooden trains, tracks and destinations for 6+ years now; building tracks literally all over the house seems entirely normal to us :).

This game is honestly just really pleasing and relaxing, you have so many competitive games that can just start to annoy you but this one is just calming and could really not even get you mad at all. The game is a fairly simple concept but it was excuted perfectly to make a fantastic game that is really a new idea. If you have the money and this looks fairly up your alley, I would highly reccomend it. The game only shows signs of getting better through the updates and I am exited to see what more might be added. I would also like to complement the music and graphics, the music all ties together to kind of make one song and with it you can really have the relaxing feeling the game gives you. The graphics are really a step up from what you could expect, the wood that makes up the train is so detailed and with the unreal engine 4, the physics are also something that is a pleseant suprise to find how well everything is. This game is, in my opinion, flawless with its execution and I highly reccomend it.

A-Train: All Aboard! Tourism
Game Overview :
In the world of A-Train, people gather around stations, gradually developing the surrounding town. What kind of railroad will you create? How will you develop the town? All these choices and more are yours to make.
Nyanco's Review :
Japanese Style + Tourism SimCity + Transport Tycoon
[1] Intro
A-Train: All Aboard! Tourism was developed by ARTDINK and published by Degica. A-Train is a business management simulation game where you take on the role of a president of a railroad company to develop towns with an urban, tourism friendly setting. What is this game and what’s in it? Let's take a look at it with Nyanco-chan!
– Real player with 11.3 hrs in game
It really is the best version of the A-train. In addition to all the complexity of the A-train PC Classic (previous to this one), kept in this one, the tour/tourist mechanic was added. Besides, it has better information presentation than the previous one as well, and graphically it’s very nice, with an excellent mix of 2d (isometric) and 3d vision. The only downside is with the control (mouse and keyboard), It takes a little getting used to and could be a little better. If you already know the series or like simulators it is worth the full price. Note: Currently it is not possible to change the settings directly from the menu, it is necessary to enter a scenario. In the first tutorial scenario, you have to go a little further to enable the function, If you want to change soon, It is recommended to enter another scenario without being tutorial, to change directly.

Bounty Train
HOLD EVERYTHING!
In the past, when I originally left this review, I was barely even critical of the game (I’ve left my original review below). It was an amazingly fun railroad management game that was just the right balance of simulator and tycoon. But after long months of waiting and 80 hours played, the NEW WEST DLC has left me disappointed.
I was enamoured when I saw the release note for the DLC. I had purchased the Trainium Edition, which meant I wouldn’t have to shell out another five dollars to play the expansion. I loaded the game up, pressed Begin DLC, and was greeted with… Omaha. The map only went as far as Omaha. And here I thought “New West” meant “West Coast”. This was a major turnoff. After such a long time waiting and holding out every last bit of hope I had that I’d FINALLY get to build the Transcontinental Railroad, what I got was an INCREDIBLY tedious back-and-forth expansion, a locomotive that wasn’t even as good as the one I had from the vanilla game, NO instance of a “New Carriage” as promised, and a lacking map that didn’t even go west enough to call itself “west”. I played the DLC to completion, and felt like I’d just been slapped in the face. There’s no instance of the Transcontiental, the West coast, or anything. The game ends with a newspaper clipping saying you’re READY to start building, and then the credits roll.

First, let me state this is a pretty fun game. I bought it when it was 50% off ($12.49) and I have enjoyed every minute of it. What I like most is it provides you with a different type of game playing style. A little RPG mixed in with a little bit of management style gamind and garnished with a tad of train simulator. The graphics are pretty good for the game type and minus a few bugs I list below the playability is pretty nice. The combat is pretty unique and I like that you can perform combat while the train is moving or not. It adds for a new dynamic. The storyline is pretty good as well, however I think it could have been drawn out a little longer to give you more gameplay time in the campaign. Now for some of the not so likeable features.
