An interesting Tower Defense title that will keep you on you toes - it is not easy.

It’s all about timing - when to call the next wave (you will need that extra $5, particularly in the early waves when cash is short) and when to use the airstrikes and satellite beam. The variety and varying speed of enemies will also keep you focused.

At this stage the title does not have all the bells and whistles - I would like see to damage stat’s for the towers and upgrades, a start button at the start of new levels and an indication of the type of enemies in the next wave.

An interesting spin on the TD-fps genre. The gameplay will keep you on your toes, and the artstyle, effects, and theming are consistent and quite good. It’s definitely an indie game, and there are a few rough spots here and there, e.g. the controls, tower placement, metal beam in the HUD, etc. That being said, the game was fun.

Side note, the current build is near-impossible. The groups of big bois are brutal and the titans are broken. But I imagine the devs will balance the game shortly

The Good Graphics are nice sound track is pretty sick and I like that they give you an active component with your builder. The bad Minions like killing your towers, you can’t be at two places at the same time and the default paths are a continent apart from each other, you have to actually physically pick up resources which despawn quickly so if your towers are killing things on the left while you’re on the right you’re getting half the resources at best, YOU HAVE TO BODY block to have any form of success, there’s not many tower choices and you can’t upgrades your towers, Minions LOVE killing your towers and some are thicc barely get frozen and are just blitzing so you have to lay sacrificial towers to appease their tower blood thirst, PLACING TOWERS IS HARD the area you can put them is very limited and you have to have a wide gap between your towers which is ANNOYING AS THE WORLD, you only have 30 very short seconds to lay towers while you try to fight with the build mode to even drop them AND THEN you have to run back to body block a path, there’s no wave counter that I noticed or any kind of stat to tell me how my towers are doing whatsoever, The Machine gun tower takes forever to start shooting like it will literally watch enemies run by then start shooting like 10-15 seconds later. Overall I think it’s a neat concept, but in my subjective opinion I can’t recommend it because I don’t think in it’s current state it’s worth the time investment to try and figure out how to win.

重构 Refactor

重构 Refactor

Refactoring is a strategic, hardcore tower defense game.

The game features

Module layout construction: Plan the position of defense towers and enemy routes by selecting appropriate module shapes for placement.

Random element composition: Five basic element towers, which can be reconstructed based on randomly generated blueprints. Refactor towers also have completely different abilities based on their element combinations, no two towers are exactly the same.

Design your route freely: You can design your route as much as you want on a procedurally generated map, using your imagination and allowing the enemy to take maximum fire coverage as they progress.

BOSS battles: Take on a powerful BOSS every 10 waves, and it’s time to test your strategy.

Unlock new content: Highly customize your strategy by unlocking new elements and refactor blueprint on challenge difficulty.

I feel like it is important to point that this game this is made by solo dev, who has been great at interacting with everyone in discord and is willing to listen. Now those of us that have dipped into the early access games will know that this is something to cherish lol.

Also the Gameplay well let me go into more detail about that, but it is important to remember that it is early access so may change after i write this review but what i have found so far is:

Tower defence - The towers have this kinda Age of Empires feel to them this brings back that old nostalgia i love that! There also is an Arachnophobia mode this is something i recommend you play i wont tell you why, just trust me it is worth it! The enemy ramp up nicely giving a good amount of failure and felt to me like fun Gameplay

This game is excellent for civ building and tower defense gamers. I am a seasoned (72 years old) player of both. The combo of both makes the game intriguing and challenging. It has depth without drudgery. Folks who do not play either of these genres may like this one just for that reason. To me there is a third aspect included - research. Which path should you choose first. There is no formula - one choice may be the best this go round but not in the same sequence the next time. And there will be a next time as you progress from map to map. Deciding how to allocate workers is another juggling complexity. The Dev’s UI design is a thing of beauty. Easy to use, informative info tips and an effective warning/informing system. Whatever your gaming proclivity I encourage you to give this one a try. It is just that unique.

Goblin Takes No Argument[s]

Goblin Takes No Argument[s]

Goblin Takes No Argument ~~was a school project in pygame we made in 2019. We picked it up again in 2020, and thought it could be fun to try and get it on steam.

Features of the game

  • Place towers to destroy the goblins

  • Upgrade towers to get even more powerful

  • Sell towers to place even better towers

  • Different types of goblins to make the game a little harder

Controls

  • Press ‘R’ on the keyboard to toggle visibillity of the towers range

  • Right click on the mouse to sell towers at half the price

  • Left click existing towers to upgrade - An upgrade is successful if the range indicator turns orange it cost twice as much as the base price of the towers~~

Variables 2

Variables 2

V2 is a top tier tower defense game. The flow is that you start with a couple of 3x3 grids and elevator and a random raised 5 piece block. Arrange those and put your core at one end and the creep gate at the other. Place your choice of tower and then after each round you get more basic tower options. After a set number of waves you must place an additional creep gate. The gates are movable, but the core and towers are not. On advanced levels you can trade in 2 or 3 specific base towers for an advanced tower that should help you progress. Mods are random and can transform the right tower into a beast.

Electromaze Tower Defense

Pros

+Endless Mode

+A good variety of towers and mobs, all well-balanced

+Many choices when upgrading

+Ability to choose targeting priority for towers

+Randomly generated Endless maps with waypoints and player-created mazes turns this into an interesting puzzle game

+Great price. $4 is just right for this type of game, even a bit of a bargain, which is part of why this game has 100% positive reviews as of this review.

Excellent. I’ve bought nearly every tower defense game on steam, and played them for thousands of hours. This is one of the best. It’s a great example of superior game design being more important than graphics. The graphics are simple, yet beautiful. Every aspect of the game is well thought out and balanced, so there are always interesting choices to make when trying to get to the next wave.

Real player with 140.3 hrs in game

I fundamentally love tower defense games but there are a few reasons that would prevent me from recommending this to friends.

1: The balance in this game is atrocious. Unless your maze is perfect and you have the best combo of towers possible while getting the perfect seeded map - the endless achievements are quite literally impossible. Even the challenges on the higher difficulties have to be played perfectly to complete them.

2: No real data on the game. There are no sources for information on this game and the walk through doesn’t fully define everything in the game. EX: Some mobs evade attacks - what is that % dodge, are there towers that ignore the dodge, etc. There are no sources for help/vids/strats/advice.

I hope there will be some updates in the future. This game still has the potential to evolve but it is playable.

Game is fun but the dev hasn’t responded to anyone since December 2020. There are lots of things that need to be worked on. Save your money unless it’s on a super sale.
