My House

My House

I did not like this game. I did not know why there was so little furnature and colors. A lot, of what I saw on ads were lies to make you get this game for money. How much money you have to spend to get the game is not worth it. In a couple of other comments I saw bad reviews, I wanted to give the game a shot. But, honestly not a good/great/likable game. I wanted this to be a good game because I LOVE house decor games. But this was a “meh” kinda game. I recomend this to players under one thing: For people who like a little less complicated games. I don’t mean to be rude to the makers of this game but I really think they could do WAY better. If you have comments on this game to, and you ask me…well don’t ask me ask the people who made the game or the “creators”.

For this price, you get a program to see if you can utilize changes to your existing home or get an idea of your next new home. Just the basic furniture, some colors and shapes. The roof? Better put slopes in there, that would finish the program. Roof is not even needed, I only care about room placements and such.

Some people call this a game… So when I fiddle with Photoshop, I’m actually gaming? Pfffff

Get yourselfs THE SIMS, THAT is a game and you can build your rooms too. But then you got one of your sims nagging in the background.

Really bad “game”. Very basic and dull. It also takes an obnoxious amount of time for the last 2 achievements.

I can see where the game might go, but it will take a lot of work to get it where it needs to be. The most obvious issues are bugs (which tend to reset your progress in different areas from time to time - I recently bought the banana upgrade, but now it wants me to buy it again), and lack of progress balance. The idea is interesting, but it’s the implementation that needs work. If it is updated at some point in the future, where all the glaring bugs are fixed, I may pick it up again, and recommend it. However, I cannot do that now.

Haven Park

Haven Park

In “Haven Park”, you play as a young bird named Flint, whom is tasked with renovating and maintaining a large national park that was previously cared for by Flint’s grandmother. Flint, now a park ranger, must make Haven Park a place that people want to visit and stay once again. The game is filled with cute amphomorphic animals like cats and dogs - similar to “Animal Crossing” - that require the player’s attention. These characters are park visitors, and they must be provided with shelter, food sources, and other activities. The game unfolds much like how “A Short Hike” does, leading the player to a set destination, and adding obstacles/ new tasks along the way. In fact, “A Short Hike” might be game most comparable to “Haven Park”. However, the way that the player must satiate park visitors is maybe most like how one pleases visitors in early “Zoo Tycoon” games. That is, certain facilities - food stalls, housing, etc., should be placed throughout the park.

Wholesome and adorable.

Absolutely family friendly.

I played the Demo during the June Steam NextFest, and really enjoyed myself during the approximately 2 hours I spent playing the Demo (which was only available then).

Chill, casual, relaxing.

So far, it seems entirely suited for younger children, with some help, perhaps.

Older children and teens will have no issue with the game, IMHO.

Adults will enjoy this game as well, if they are looking for exploration, crafting, and “city (park) building”.

Oik Memory: Endgame

Oik Memory: Endgame

Depending on your difficulty setting it can be a quick and easy game, but the game has a very minimal explanation of these.

The settings can be seen in the menu top right, while they can be switched at the bottom middle.

1. two dots connected (order matters) or not (order does not matter)

2. full circle (timer off) or quarter circle (timer on)

3. x (you cannot miss or you have to restart) or underline (you get a certain number of misses depending on level, indicated with red square at top right)

Candy Machine

Candy Machine

Candy Machine runs unacceptably slowly, has extremely poor to outright non-existent tutorialisation, and a UI that doesn’t scale with almost any of the available resolutions that it offers in the launcher.

The $9 asking price is almost offensive, given that this game’s polish (or lack thereof) is something that would still be considered a disappointment of a $0.49 game. It could almost be considered worthwhile for the sub-$1 price point if you REALLY love the genre but have no money and are willing to put up with a mutilated version of it, but for this price just get one of the many, many games that do it much better.

I would say that for the game’s current state it’s ok. But the machines/conveyors need to not place when you click on a menu. It gets a bit frustrating when you have to delete something that you didn’t place over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Other then that, it’s a good game so far with some very good potential to it!

Quiet as a Stone

Quiet as a Stone

The game is well done and though super simple and even limited in the actual gameplay (can’t save maps you’ve developed, no!real goal other than just clearing the landscape searching for magical stones). But despite the games limitations, it’s easy gameplay and simplicity are actually addicting. Tried it for the first time today and when I’d stopped it was 3 hours later! LOL Only three downfalls I see are that you can’t save maps, can’t create a map from scratch, and there needs to be a gamma control as the game is predominently dark and its difficult to see the landscape clearly. Hopefully the developer will add some updates. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing experience that only costs pennies.

Love the concept and the calm vibes, its very beautiful and relaxing! I do wish there were more variation in landscapes though, I imagine it gets same’y quite fast. Different climates and plants would have been fun! It is also much too dark, with no way to adjust the lighting up (as far as I can tell). Sometimes I cant see whats going on at all, its literally just pitch black, lol.

There are also some minor issues, like street lamps cant be picked up again once you place them.

Oik 6, the last game in the series, finally the suffering ends.

Purchased in the Bundle, guess ok, the game itself is also not bad.

But do we really need to have 6 Oik games? That’s why 7 never comes! xD

LEGO® Builder’s Journey

Super well made and beautiful graphics. Honestly its a great game to sit down and play if you have the time for it; its about 3 hours tops even if you aren’t the best with puzzle games it shouldn’t be too difficult but it is very satisfying how you could possibly solve puzzles in different ways. 100% recommend

Fireworks Mania - An Explosive Simulator

Fireworks Mania - An Explosive Simulator

Look, any sandbox game that lets me light off fireworks in a church is going to attract my attention.

UPDATE : 40 hour opinion : Simply one of the best sandbox games on the market. Free content, a really, REALLY cool dev who I have had the pleasure to interact with a couple of times on social media, and endless possibilities for the future.

And finally, A SAVE FEATURE.

The dev is smart. If you thought of an improvement, he’s prolly already thought of it first.

And lastly, give it up for the visual effects and performance. I own a couple more fireworks

Really nice game. Played it in the early stages, the game has grown and finally released. I was searching a few years ago for this game. Saw a fireworks game of weco, didnt liked it really. I saw this game and I was sold. The game developer Laumania was very friendly to me and I was happy to be a moderator in his discord server. While the game was in early stages I was communicating with the other Dutch mods. I played among us with them and the community was fun. I enjoyed most of the stream of Laumania and really liked his dev logs. Finally this game has been released. While I was playing the demo, it was like It was real. It was incredible. Now you can even blow up houses and make big projects. I am proud of Laumania and the other people that helped him to build this beautiful game. Trust me, it is worth it.

Very easy to binge this unless you get stuck on a level. I personally think it’s the perfect difficulty; you can breeze through some of the levels, and some may take you a little longer, but overall I wouldn’t say this game will make you want to rip your hair out of frustration.

Doesn’t really require too much thinking as I find myself repeating the same actions over and over again. I kind of just click stuff and watch the animations unfold, but it’s very satisfying when I complete a level. You can play it mindlessly or you can choose not to – it’s pleasant either way, especially with the music.
