Molecule Builder

Molecule Builder

This fun and engaging molecule builder will help you test out your chemistry knowledge. Feeling rusty?

No problem - we help you out with tips to refresh your memory.

There are three levels.

First, you can practice your understanding of how atoms in a molecule bond. You will create the links between the atoms to form 3D molecules. You can even check if the molecule is stable before proceeding to the next step.

Once you are done building molecules. You can pick one and apply the VSEPR model to predict the molecule’s geometry. Maybe you know where we are going with this. This is an important first step in being able to predict the molecule’s Polarity.

Rover Builder

(Oct 8)

A bunch of changes have been made. Generally building has improved greatly with symmetry working properly now, and the addition of namable crafts.

There could still be improvements like the ability to copy paste sections or copy paste part parameters, but id say this is easily worth your time if you like physics sandbox games now as you arent fighting the clunkiness as much.

(initial)

Its obviously very ea, but that doesnt change the review does it. I cant recommend it in its current state, but il update if that changes.

I definitely enjoy playing this game; it lets me unleash my inner engineer. I have had a lot of fun building unnecessarily complicated rovers. Despite having only a handful of parts (or maybe because of it), Rover Builder is a deceptively challenging game.

However, there are a few bugs/issues that I have found rather detracting. Fixing these will greatly improve the game.

  • Bearings don’t always load correctly when the simulation starts. Sometimes they disappear and sometimes steel beams coming off of the bearings are in the wrong orientation. In order to fix this, I have to go back to the builder, delete the bearings, and reinsert them. Sometimes even that doesn’t work.

Territory - animals genetic strategy

Territory - animals genetic strategy

Territory is an isometric 2D real-time single player strategy about genes and animal species. Animals are behaving the way they would in nature, but you can indirectly control them and mutate them to achieve various goals like dominance in the ecosystem.

Core Gameplay Mechanics - Challenge Mode

  • you are entering the game with one species and mutate it to different species later on

  • you are playing on the map with existing ecosystem that is producing various sources of food

  • you are changing species genome and that is changing its attributes and behaviour

  • map is populated with various species (~10 depending on map size), species can die out, species can mutate to new species in time

  • each species has its own territory, its size and shape can be adjusted

  • species can be herbivores, omnivores or carnivores and can have one of five different sizes

  • species lives complete live from being born to death, need food to survive

  • individual animal can die in fight, starve to death, can be killed by predator, die by disease or die by old age

  • species are hostile only when they share the same source of food and has similar size

  • you can migrate your species to new territories

  • you can invade enemy species on its territory

  • you can defend your territory from enemy species

  • you are evaluating your surroundings and complete ecosystem to determine your next steps

  • species are reacting indirectly on player’s command if certain conditions are met (migrate to new territory only when not being hungry, having certain genes, etc.)

Core Gameplay Mechanics - Sandbox Mode

  • you are playing on the map without any species

  • you can create unlimited number of species

  • your goal is to achieve the largest biomass and/or diversity

Energy Island Corp.

Energy Island Corp.

In Electric City Manager, you’ll manage an electric grid on small islands. When you arrive on an island, there is only few inhabitants and no electric facilities.

It’s your job to build a robust electric grid which can support the development of the island in every domain: tourism, industry, residential, health, …

Every day starts with a preparation phase. You can construct new buildings, buy raw materials and manage different aspect of your grid.

When you’re ready, the clock starts and you can see in real time, minute by minute the electricity quantity you produced and the electricity being consumed by the city.

It’s important to produce enough electricity to match the demand and avoid power outage. On the other side, producing too much electricity will damage all your electric grid and waste a lot of money.

  • Make your own energy mix: Solar panels only produce when sun is up, oil generators are expensive to run, … Each primary energy has its own characteristics, you must mix them to find the better balance.

  • Manage raw materials supply: Some buildings need resources (oil, coal, …) to run. You must buy them at best price, and build infrastructure to store them.

  • Watch electricity production / consumption: Managing an electric grid is hard. Electricity is hard to store, consumption vary between consumption peaks and low demands periods. Adapt yourself and manage your grid with information you get from the production / consumption chart.

There are many aspects of this game that are good, and their are many things about this game that are not so good. There are also some things that are infuriating. I will try to to break things down into the good the bad and the ugly as I love classic films and it is simple to follow.

THE GOOD:

The acting by the FMV actors is amazing. Rocket girl is extremely animated and emotive to the point where you forget they are an actor. Every actor gives a passionate performance that is both enjoyable and at time amazing. Not gonna lie 3 Rocket girl.

Honestly, I was surprised by this game, in a good way.

Way more in depth than I originally thought it would be, already have 50 hours in and I haven’t even made it past 180 kms in space.

The acting is actually not too shabby, I was expecting some cringe worthy content, but I haven’t cringed yet at any of the acting, though some of the lines they use are sketchy at best.

They love making fun of youtube, like, LOVE making fun of it, which i guess is some political moves from humble games, but at least everything they make fun of is legit an issue with youtube. This can also help show the effects youtube will have on the future if google continues to grow and continues to literally censor everything.

One of the best zach-like games to exist thus far; A perfect rendition of simple rules leading to complex interactions. The retro pixel art and story featuring historically accurate rock star scientists lends itself well to a fun and engaging game about building the worlds first analog computer. The developer is active and responsive, adding more content fairly frequently, and the community is already both friendly and competitive.

10/10, would request lewd etchings again

First and foremost: This is a positive review.

I’m unable to beat this game however (PEBKAC) though, so I’m going to caution prospective players:

This game is HARD, and the tests in each level are NOT comprehensive, nor will they give the same results when run individually versus the ‘run all tests’ results. It’s VERY possible to make solutions which pass in test-all but fail on every single test when run individually. Chasing the test scores can easily box you into a dead-end solution path.

The test score results are NOT an actual metric for how usable parts you design are, and almost every part is meant to be used later after it’s made, without any clear description of errors compounding or what to watch out for.

Rover Mechanic Simulator

Rover Mechanic Simulator

Rover Mechanic Simulator, yet another mechanic simulator game where the player is expected to unscrew some machinery, disassemble it, find some malfunction, repair it and then assemble it again. It is looking good, it sounds good (especially music tunes on local radio), and it provides somewhat unique machinery to fix - some remotely-driven drones which are supposedly used to explore Mars.

However… the usual thing happened. The idea was good, but its execution doesn’t actually cover the fun and enjoyment section.

I love this game. I absolutely love this game. I am fully in love with it. It has become my go-to relaxation experience. And I will explain below why that is in detail. But in brief: Rover Simulator is a very niche, ridiculously expansive mechanics and repair simulator which oozes passion, love, and complexity from every pore. It is a wonderful little experience which, for the price, I could not only recommend more, but say is worth more. You fix rovers. And that’s what you’ll do. From the so-called ‘MER Twins’ - Spirit and Opportunity - to the tiny, adorable Sojourner, all the way up to the (DLC-bound but heavily recommended) Perseverance rover, you’ll disassemble, clean, re-solder, and re-assemble them all.
