(!!!MAJOR REVIEW CHANGE!!!)

So originally, I had said I would not recommend this game, however I also stated that I would change it if my problems with the game were fixed. So, I am happy to say that with the update 0.7.1 (which was the next update after my review) the following problems have been fixed to my satisfaction.

1: Inability to escape from battle (FIXED)

2: Lack of Warning about losing inventory (FIXED)

3: Quest tracking (FIXED)

Sooo, since all my complaints are fixed to my acceptance, I am happy to change my review to RECOMMEND! I left my complaints so you can see what I was upset about. Hope this helps!

I really got hooked on the construction mechanics, i would definetly play for hours building ships if there were more materials and color options for said materials. A few comments on the construction though, i would really like more available visibility while making designs (360° vision). Most of the UI needs fixing (better construction inventory, texts that fit), but i indeed liked where the game is going and the potential it has. I would love to help in the translation if you are planing to doing it also in spanish. counter or markers for needed sails or weight balance would be great. For now, I’ll keep designing ships till i get the perfect one. Good luck and keep on the good work…

Make Sail

Make Sail

The game is really fun and relaxing. It’s a sandbox ship builder that uses realistic physics to make you feel like you’re really sailing.

TL;DR - The game is great if you want to sail around in a boat you create and look at stunning art, but it is an early access game. Content is a bit lacking, but it will be added as soon as the big bugs are fixed. Great sailing simulator right now.

Pros:

  • Graphics/Art: The graphics/art in MS are wonderful and are very pleasing the look at. 26+ hours in and I’m still taken away by them.

Make Sail is a game with a delightful building system, very enjoyable content, and a constant stream of updates that continue to make a smoother and more awesome experience. it provides a largely tranquil exploration of a mysterious world that has captivated me from the first time I booted up the game, where you can craft your own ship, and set sail around a map that provides a fair amount of content for the game’s value. Though you might question the price tag after your first time around the map, you’ll find that you can easily come back a month or two later, and enjoy another refreshing trip around the randomly generated islands, struggling to grab parts for your ship off the back of the newly added turtle islands, or trying to steer your boat away from those goddamn birds.

Stormworks: Build and Rescue

the game is generally good and i enjoy playing it but it has its fair amount of downsides too, but i am only making this review to complain that they changed how rocket fuel tanks looks, because it seems that they failed to realize that players have been using the rocket fuel tanks for decoration and now when it became simplified it just looks stupid. and there is no way to use the old ones. :(

Honest review from someone who has put a huge amount of time into this game

  • Badly optimised, crashes are fairly common.

  • Multiplayer mostly unplayable due to desync between clients.

  • Base game content is lacking after they pulled the original missions

  • Original purpose of the game entirely lost and forgotten by the devs based on a single discord poll

As much as I had no issues with the weapon DLC coming as it could’ve added some real great additional content but sadly the entire focus has been on the weapons.

Noah

Noah

Seeing the incoming dark clouds, some seek shelter and others build an ark. Step into the pre-apocalyptic world as Noah and lead the bravest project of ancient times! Gather the required resources to build a ship able to withstand the diversity of Earth’s fauna on its deck.

Don’t forget the dove though, without her the voyage might take forever!

The rainstorm is close, and after all, you must save at least a pair of each species.

Animals are just animals, and they can get quite unbearable… they spread around the world and don’t want to listen - bah, it might come to you carrying them around on your own back!

Once you’re done with that, don’t forget to pack the supplies. Otherwise… you know…

Problems with livestock and the race to beat the clock are not the only concerns you’ll face.

You’re just starting out with this praiseworthy quest and some wicked folks are already looking forward to your demise. Fight them without batting an eye - this time it doesn’t count as a sin!

If you think building the Ark is not something you’ll manage on your own, bring your friends along!

Together you’ll be able to wrap it all up much quicker, as well as make it easier to defend the floating zoo when a mass attack happens. No worries - there’s plenty of work to do even for four of you!

Ship construction and saving animal species are probably not the easiest activities, as well as being the captain during the final voyage. In the end, however, the rain will stop. Looking out for the land, you’ll realize you saved the world once again - and this time it all went without a single gunshot.

I’ve been playing the game for about 14 hours now and while it was fun at start, some things started to annoy me:

  • First off, a dev who claimed (in discord) this game is worthy of a full release, which obviously is not the case).

  • Too many plots are taken by bandit camps and mining plots

  • Boats are buggy and can break sometimes (not allowing you to load resources on it)

  • It needs more optimization, i have a great pc but even for me the game started stuttering (ingame and sound)

  • Bandit camps need balancing. I have them with only kings, which requires a max level training field. By the time i can defeat them i have no more need for such resources you can get from them.

The Last Leviathan

The Last Leviathan

The Last Leviathan Is Truly an amazing Game with a simple but brilliant game mechanic.

Build A Floating, Armored Ship And Take on The Sea!

Testing the build of your ship as you sail, you have the option to fix or adjust (when not in Battle) the Ship, To anything from The weight to the Weapons to even the style.

The Art Style is very reminiscent to Legend Of Zelda - Wind Waker.

because the quality of the game is so stunning and visually appealing it would almost be taking as a game developed by nintendo in the craftsmanship alone.

As a simple ship building and sailing sandbox this game let me entertain myself for a good 30 hours before it’s limitations and flaws started to suck the enjoyment out of it.

The ocean wave and wind physics are outstanding, and really provide a test for the ship designs you can come up with. You can add lots of water propellers, ballast, and even functioning wings if you want to try making a sort of hydroplane design for speed.

Outside of the sandbox, there is really not much else to do, there is no substantial “game” there other than the sandbox.

This is in fact a nice game and it should be a nice game and because of that i made this post so no offense the developer.

– This is in fact a nice game and it should be a nice game but because of all those devastating bug + other bug i feel it is on it’s place to warning you about what you really buying and i try for 122 hour to avoid this post as best i can just to give that hard working single developer to resposse and do something with it but nothing happens and i am afraid he gonna use several month or worst he is not able to fix them at all.

This is a really cool survival game and is really challenging. Early development and developer is active. Game is a great purchase, I picked it up for $4.99 how can you go wrong.

–———————- UPDATE November 2021 ————————

OK my above review I hold true to and I like the game but some time has passed, there hasn’t been an update of a pep from the developer, it appears this game is abandoned but who knows.

I will say there has been a few updates last year 2020 but until you see some progress with this game I would not suggest purchasing it.
