SokBots may just be one of the the most fun, crazy, one-on-one multiplayer games out there. It has many charming characteristics to it that make it a joy to play. The game design of SokBots makes it effortless to spend hours upon hours playing the game.

The graphics of SokBots are perfect. It’s bright and colourful. They don’t overpower your computer with polygons or particles, but allow your computer to relax. Its low poly art style also allows you to take it all in. The detail in every model is present and noticeable, making for a game where you notice all the little things instantly.

Nice basic little battle bots game. Functional for how slim of a game it is, had only one crash and it saved our money. We played co-op which was fun, and one PVP battle which worked as well. It was easy to get started. Building the battle bots themselves was the best part but the battles themselves were fun. Definitely worth the $2 on sale, $3 normal price.

My Singing Monsters

My Singing Monsters

This game opened my eyes to the greater questions. Why are we here if not just to play My Singing Monsters? If there is any meaning in life I think I’ve found it. When the Fwog proclaims, “Wa wa wa wa wa wa,” I think I understand further why life was granted to us. Our whole purpose, was to create My Singing Monsters, and play it. The only thing we should have done, and the only thing we should be doing, is playing My Singing Monsters. I got choked up when the Maw said “De de, de de de, de de de, de de de, de de de, de de de, de de de, de de de.” It forced me to think, to open my mind to the bigger picture. Friends don’t matter. Nothing matters as much as My Singing Monsters.

Shortly before My Singing Monsters was released on steam, my life was spiraling out of control. But then one day a friend of mine told me that My Singing monsters was on steam. I couldn’t believe it, it was true, it had just released and it turned my life upside up again. The second I heard the noggin gracefully slap the top of his head repeatedly to the first time I heard the mammot seductively say “Bummm”. I cried tears of joy, Every time I feed my monsters I feel proud and genuinely feel like my monsters care about my well being. I talk to my monsters every night and tell them about my problems. All I talk about is my singing monsters and my friends blocked me on discord because I only talk about My Singing Monsters. Thank you Big Blue Bubble. Thank you for bringing a purpose to my life again.

RollerCoaster Tycoon World™

Rollercoaster Tycoon is an important game for me. It is that game what I install everytime something bad happened, when I’m ill or when I want to destress. Install RCT 1, 2 or 3 and you have a smile on your face in a minute I can guarantee you.

The game has it’s own character. The colors, the happy peeps, balloons and the cartoony artstyle without being a casual game at all is proven a strong a concept and I think after many years this game is still a lot’s of gamers favorite.

It was RCT that I saw on friends PC’s screens, even on them who never play any other video game.

We’re sad that we have to give this a thumbs down. My husband & I have been Atari fans since we got our first Atari Game System back in like 1981. Anybody remember Pong? Yeah…we’re old…

We bought the Deluxe version of this back in Nov thinking the release date would be Dec 10th. We aren’t upset about spending that money, however, we’re shocked at what this has turned out to be so far.

The Pro’s

1.) Early Access- good on Atari to recognize that they needed to put something out there.

2.) Performance- we have a great computer that my husband built, so no performance issues like others have had. Occasional choppiness, but hey, it’s a computer game.

I find it somewhat baffling that this mostly excellent game seems to have been released and then forgotten by most. While most games at least have a reddit sub dedicated to them, there is nothing for this game at all. Very few comments on indie game sites as well. Which is a shame, since it seems that, as a forgotten game, the chances of ever getting a sequel with enhanced mechanics is slim.

My only complaint with the game is that the social/faction mechanic is simply not as fleshed out as it could be. That whole aspect can be almost ignored with no consequence. Do they like you? Are they going to revolt? Meh…no matter most of the time. I would have liked to see some more interaction with the passengers themselves; in terms of maybe getting more detailed information by clicking on an individual passenger (relationship graphs to other passengers and to you. rumours, etc…) and perhaps be able to take more actions to affect their behaviour (ie. craft an edict. make a deal to send someone in with propaganda, etc…)

Overall, a visually beautiful, slower-paced game that reqiures you to manage the resources on the train, assign passengers to carriages based on their factions to prevent internal conflicts, and build defenses against the fog. Once you reach a destination, you can send passengers out to search for items/food/fuel, either through a random lottery or by rigging the lottery to send your stronger passengers.

It’s not a reactive game, like Deadnaut, instead you plan ahead and then watch it executed. Personally I prefer this style, but I tend to like management games anyway.

First of all, to address the controls issue that everyone else seems to have with this game: they are honestly not that bad. I was playing this game with my brother and he was using KB+M and I was using an Xbox controller. This game is much better with a controller in my opinion, but that doesn’t make using KB+M impossible either.

What you see with this game is basically what you get: you have a house with rooms, and each room has its own set of furniture. Complete pieces of furniture to get access to more tools, rooms, and some challenge levels.

Real player with 6.7 hrs in game

Have you ever said to youself, “If only I could have the stressful experience of assembling Ikea furniture, without actually assembling actual furniture?” Then this game is for you. This game is stressful, but oddly rewarding. I don’t know how to describe the feeling of “successfully” building a “kanelbuller stol”. For those of you who played the demo, this version offers multiple rooms: the attic, basement, living room, and dining room. The game isn’t perfect, and at times I cannot access the dining room, but this is a kind of game that I make my friends play just to see their reaction. I have not yet tested the multiplayer mode, but so far whenever I try to connect to other players online I have not had luck. Something else to note is the lack of depth perception when you play; your mallet may look like it is in the middle of the room but it may actually be in the edge of the room and there is no real way of figuring that out without dropping the item.

Cookie Clicker

“Ultimately, the cookie economy is not designed to help people. It just makes cookies. Like a virus or a tumor. Its nature is to exploit everything around it for its own expansion. Grandmas, banks, temples, every part of life is perverted to serve the purpose of the economy. Nothing is too sacred to be sacrificed on its altar. And for what? What’s the point of a massive, global economy, if it fails to protect the elderly and the vulnerable? Even those with the most cookies don’t really benefit from the system. Past a certain level of wealth, you can never spend that many cookies. And it’s not like the game ever ends. You cannot “win” Cookie Clicker. You just keep making cookies until you stop or you die. You just hoarding cookies for its own sake. It’s not really about the cookies, it’s about the accumulation. Getting more. You could be collecting any meaningless number: points.. subscribers… small, green pieces of paper… past a certain point you just making a number go up.

Cookie Clicker is a bizarre game and one that makes me wish that Steam had something better than a binary Yes/No review system, as this game can probably work well for some people but horribly for others. I have tried to keep this review as short as possible, but with enough depth to let you know whether this game could be for you.

The idea that idle games can form some sort of critique of modern games (especially with RPG elements increasingly commonplace) is well-worn and incredibly applicable to Cookie Clicker, and whilst some idle games have started charging for in-game purchases, Cookie Clicker is admirably devoid of them. The real question for someone approaching this is whether what Cookie Clicker does is subversive enough to warrant putting time into it at all.

Maui

Maui

“Pighunt & Gods”

Maui is an unique F2P action-adventure bringing you closer to the Hawaiian mythology of gods.Tho the graphics are ugly like on console, the controls are quite clunky and on some computers the programming acts like hell of buggy (I couldn’t even pass the tutorial or do some screenshots) the Hawaiian topic is highly seducing and fascinating.

If you manage to get it run somewhere prepare for pighunts, root farming, coconut and banana harvesting and some hot fights ofc. I only missed the lava. Enjoy the tribal soundtrack or the lovely ukulele play (btw where are the hula girls in this game?). God, I wish I was on Hawaii after playing this … Growing up and living on the Island of Kauai I instantly wanted to try this out. Within the first 3 seconds of the menu screen I fell in love with the music and the cute art design reminds me of the local made picture books for the keiki.

I was torn about whether or not I could recommend this game.

Maui is a fun small hero’s quest about a hero trying to save his sister. It is charming game with enough character that while it takes inspiration from windwaker I wouldn’t call it a rip off. The music has 3 tunes from what I have caught and they are all pretty good. One song plays through most of the game and I didn’t get annoyed by it after a long period of time. I really enjoyed the credits song, and the song played at the climax was effective for the moment. The graphics are inspired by windwaker, and the characters have char, This is a world I would explore. I also enjoyed reading all the Hawain cultural entries. Also this game was made by a small group of students, and is a free game. There is a lot of potential here for this to become a game series with more experience and resources. I really liked this game, and wanted to recommend it. I can’t though due to poor/unresponsive gameplay, poorly implemented mechanics, poor system performance, and glitches.

Horse Farm

Horse Farm

Personally my favorite game. I love feeding my horses and I log back in every single day! I’m currently level 184 and I should reach level 185 tomorrow. It’s overall a good game if you don’t have anyone to play with, as there is not many multiplayer aspects to it.

The people i tell about this game just laugh at me and tell me to get a life, but they have no idea what they’re missing out on.

The graphics of the game is really great considering its free, you can really tell that the graphic designer really loves their job at Upjers the details blows me away every time I open the game back up, they did an incredible job on the horses, its almost like they’re real! Of course you can tell the difference but its really good.

I like to have this game open in the background and play it actively when I’m waiting for a layer of gouache to dry. It keeps you busy in short bursts which is ideal for situations where you just have a couple minutes left over and nothing to do in the time. Personally I think the graphics are cute and have a sort of painterly style. I am currently at level 14 and have not experienced this game as pay to win. Managed to afford the infirmary, that seems to give other people a lot of trouble, without an issue as level ups and quests give you money as well. There is a nice amount of customization for your farm.

After the first 40 minutes of The Lighthouse, I had a strong feeling that this is one of the most complete and excellent projects in Early Access that I saw in Steam. And after 20 minutes the game is over. It ended only at this point in time (according to the roadmap laid out by the developers, there will still be a huge amount of content in it), the game is still in Early Access. Impressions are fantastic so far. Before us is a traditional thriller about a detective who has lost his child in the past, and is now slowly drinking, who goes to a mysterious house at the lighthouse to look for adventures (perhaps the last in his life). Despite this traditional complication, the game manages to avoid the traditional traps that await horror games, and make the appearance of high-quality frightening games so rare. There is no blood or jumpscares. Seriously, there are no jumpscares in the 2019 horror game. I have nothing against them as a whole, but to make them a quality element that would not look ridiculous is an incredibly difficult task that requires tremendous effort. And sometimes it’s easier to put these efforts on other elements, as is done here.

Now how exactly does the game feel? Rest assured I promise controls are not annoying nor a bother. Their simple and easy to remember, picture taking a first person crafting game and just make it more of a puzzle type with a suspenseful environment that doesn’t focus on jump scares.

From the walk through video above it is in Early Access, so if there is any sort of lags or glitches that’s normal. While playing through which that video of my early access gameplay doesn’t feature commentary like we had on the other videos. Instead it was to engage in the gameplay, allowing the atmosphere and Mimi Page’s chilling music work its way down to your spine, sending goosebumps through out your whole body.
