PBA Pro Bowling
BUY PREMIUM BOWLING INSTEAD !!!!
Avoid, period. It can be used to pass time that is about the only upside.
What I hate, every piece of this game aside that. The lanes do not break down. The career mode while there is content is horrible. A bowler in just the initial league section averaged 148 leading up to our match. He did not leave one open frame in my 5 matches against him (I kept replaying it as I was in shock) rolling a 238,226,231,224, 196 (clean) I finally beat him 236 to 196. I did not shoot under 200 against him. I have never had a pro bowl less than 260 against me. I lost to simo 279-268 just 5 mins ago. I made one bad shot when I dropped my mouse. His tournament average coming in was 218. The pc strikes through the face and by brooklyn over and over in the lower leagues. Liz Johnson ripped off a 5 bagger on me and didnt hit the pocket on either side once. Fix the NFL blitz like difficulty farse (if the pc is down they will just rip a 6,7,8 bagger of or shoot 60 pins above what they have been all tourney, just against you). Ill try to check back in another patch to see if this ever gets there but hopefully I am smart enough to move on. I like what they addressed but this patch is still a big miss and not worth 10 bucks lets alone 20. The graphics are abysmal in places. This is a game for a tablet of phone rather shamelessly whored out to the pc. With the same money in a nice steam sale window you can do so much better. Shame on the PBA for putting their name on this and plugging it hard on TV. I buy a lot of bowling balls and bowl a ton. I had much higher hopes here.

This is a lot of fun and totally worth the $20. The pin physics are actually really good and only ever so slightly “bouncy” on occasion. The controls aren’t deep but they’re definitely challenging enough that being consistent isn’t easy as pie. This does look somewhat like the mobile game but it’s a lot, LOT better. It still has tickets and gold pins for currency though which, even though earned in game, I with they would have converted to $$ to give it a more “realistic” feel. The different oil patterns do bowl differently however, I haven’t noticed any breakdown as I’ve yet to have to transition shots.

PBA Pro Bowling 2021
This game blows. Plain and simple. They are honestly just making these games more and more pay to win. It’s rediculous. Basically just a carbon copy of the last game with a few more novelty factors in it. Don’t waste the $25. Also, the physics SOMEHOW got worse. Developers, you should be fucking ashamed of yourselves. I mean did you even test this? Did you even sit down and see how long it would take to get to some of the higher level balls. Unbelievable.

Hands down this is the best bowling game ive played since PBA tour on Playstation many years ago.
What this game does best is capture the pin physics really well, the ball reactions to the lanes and the subtle reactions to the 12 different oils patterns.
There’s no better feeling than blowing the 5 pin, or tripping up that 7 pin, or rapping the 10 pin down for the crucial strike, or kicking the ball return after leaving that solid cold 8 pin. the game itself is great, challenging and rewarding.

Pure Bowl VR Bowling
I’ve been playing Pure Bowl VR on an Oculus Quest through Virtual Desktop and it works great.
I’ve never been great at bowling in real life, and I’m not very good in Pure Bowl VR either so that’s solid commendation for the game’s accurate bowling physics! Thankfully it offers a bunch of super detailed settings to alter lane setup, assists, and difficulty, so I can set up a game exactly how I want.
The recent update which adds a tournament mode (basically a knockout against progressively more difficult AI opponents) gives a bit more flavour to each game, and the new lane looks fantastic.

Played on Oculus Quest 2 via Virtual Desktop and SteamVR - Works perfectly!
Really quite an interesting concept, controls are good for the most part, took a little getting used to but after a few settings tweaks its borderline perfect. Early access obviously so its sort of barebones but I’m sure more content will be added. Will absolutely be playing more in the near future!

Date Night Bowling
The arcade bowling is solid - I can consistently get strikes, but curving/spin isn’t particularly intuitive. Unfortunately, each character has a single phrase you have to confirm through every single time they come up to bowl. You have to play as everyone in single player before they’re available in vs. mode (whether AI or human). The minigames are fun and themed to the bowling alley. Achievements, at least at launch, appear to be not be functioning. If you’re looking for some casual arcade-style bowling, you’ll find it here - everything else feels a little thin.

Rock of Ages
Rock of Ages is a charming, humorous, and highly original game.
The basic premise is this: you control a boulder rolling across a twisted battlefield of ramps, obstacles, and enemy traps. Your aim is to destroy your opponent’s gate.
As you destroy your opponent’s defenses, you accumulate money to spend on building upgrades. These upgrades can be either single-use power-ups for your boulder to make it stronger or more deadly. Or, you can spend the money on defenses like elephants, dynamite, and catapults that can knock your opponent’s boulder off the map. You get to place these obstacles wherever you want on the map.

Rock of ages is a game about rolling down a hill; to squish a little man, literally.
In Rock of Ages, there is a very minor story, hardly relating to the game. This isnt a bad thing because the game doesn’t need a story to be enjoyed, however the story is humorous.
The core gameplay aspect of Rock of Ages is rolling your rock down a slope riddled with defences in order to smash down an enemy gate. The opponents, are not only people from history, also attack your gate and the player must build their own defences in order to slow down or stop the other rock. You gain in game gold in order to pay for defences, and to upgrade your rock.
