Let Them Trade

Let Them Trade

Let Them Trade is a minimalistic trading simulation in which you build a network of towns. What’s particularly special about that is that this network is only used by AI-controlled merchants! So it is in your best interest to keep up the towns' supply and demand of their resources, and pocket a big part of the traders' coin - via tolls!

Note: Let Them Trade and its Steam page are still in an early alpha state. Everything is subject to change. Wishlist the game and press the follow button to stay informed about future updates! Also, feel free to follow us on our various social media channels! :)

Explore the World!

What riches does nature have on offer for you? Where are the strategically best places for your cities? Explore a world rich with many different resources and choose the best ones to kickstart your economy!

Build Your Network!

Build trade routes between cities, overcome natural obstacles such as wild waters and soaring mountains, and be on the lookout for evil bandits. Only with wit and ingenuity, you will be able to build a trading network that maximizes your merchants' profits - and, in turn, your wealth!

Let them Trade!

Interact with a multitude of trader characters! Each with their own personality, their own field of expertise and of course their own preferences on where to spend their money. Butter them up and make their life as easy as possible:

  • Fend off bandits by hiring knights in shiny armors

  • Optimize trade routes so they pass by their favorite resources

  • Adjust tolls to make them happy - no one likes tolls! Don’t feed the toll! Just make sure that you don’t come away empty-handed!

State Of Development

We just finished the prototype. Now we’re searching for a publisher!

Love the game. its fun, smooth, and simple to play. my one BIG con (and single most frustrating thing) about it tho is when you play vs the AI. If the AI has numbers that you are not on ,ie if you have ### 3 4 5 6 with towns on them but dont have any on 8 9 and 10, the AI will have full rounds where its only 8 9 and 10 are rolled. i get it if it happens one full cycle around the board but when its muliple in a row if makes me wonder if the dice are being truly randomized. lastly the AI WILL PICK ON YOU with the robber. i have had games where the robber was dropped on my tiles 6 times in a row and i lost cards every time. This happens even when im losing by a lot.

This is actually a promising game, but AI needs fixing. Not sure what algorithms they’re using, but when I’m losing, and have one card in my hand, and the robber comes up and they steal my card, they aren’t relying on strategy. When, no matter what the conditions in terms of card distribution and victory points, the AI players steal my card 5 out of 6 times, the game just becomes a boring exercise in watching the AI build stuff while I don’t even have a card to trade.

You already have my money, but this is a game I won’t play until it gets fixed, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend anybody else spend their money on it, unless they’re planning on playing strictly against humans.

I love this game. But as Monopoly stands right now, I have to give the game a negative review. For a multitude of reasons. (The only good thing is Thank-God it’s basically a FREE game)! But the negative reviews DON’T LIE!

Bottom Line Issues:

1. The disconnecting issues have been brought up by many, but never fixed. The BS ‘Hotfives’ did absolutely nothing.

2. In the beginning of the game, you still land on Milan. And then Sydney…and so on. This was brought up by many, but never fixed. Once, maybe twice have I ever found this to be different…And when so, 1st roll lands on Lost Island…What a Treat!

  • You are able to play with your friends for only 24 hours (except 2v2 against randoms), after that you gotta subscribe for $1 a month. bullshhhhhhhht

  • Queuing with a friend means nothing - most of the time you play 2v2 against the friend you queued with

  • It’s P2W

  • If a friend disconnects due to some issues, he cannot reconnect

also.. wtf are those bots AI :-D my friend disconnected due to internet connection problems, her bot jumped on chance - give up a city to opponent. well guess which city the bot gave to the enemy team? ofc the one who was worth the most and had hotel, which lead us to lose.

The Chronicles of Quiver Dick

The Chronicles of Quiver Dick

You had my attention with the crazy name, but when I saw myself on that store page screenshot I was sold!

(Haha, so in all seriousness, anyone reading this will probably assume I have a biased opinion, considering the developers decided to toss me in their game. Fuck that though! I’m gonna be honest as fuck!)

First off, let me say this is a very short game. Shorter than ‘MaP’ (Metal as Phuk) but that’s kind of the point. It’s a quick and comfy adventure. Flooded with dialogue that eminates some (sweet, sweet) low-brow humour. Sometimes it’s great, and sometimes it falls flat; which leaves you waiting to move on to the next joke. It’s kind of like SNL in a way.

UPDATE: I have changed my review to negative, which is unfortunate. The developer has been proven to be a deplorable human being, and one that cannot be trusted. Do not support them. The game was fun, sure, but I’m not supporting this person anymore.

I, too, hope they cast a substantially less racist version of Mel Gibson in the movie about MY life. Guess I’ll have to settle for an awesome cameo in this game. (Seriously!)

And, while I have a cameo, I won’t let it affect my review of the game. I played and beat this in a single setting (took about 3 hours) and laughed so hard my throat still hurts. The game’s humor is crass, and in your face often, but it never feels overstated, nor does it seem ham-fisted. The pacing is well done throughout, and when a joke seems like it might be wearing out its welcome, it ends.

| Follow my Curator Page for more Strategy Games! |

Book of Beasts is a free-to-play Collectible Card Game. It is nothing like Hearthstone, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, and the likes. It’s more like a Puzzle game.

Your Deck consists of 20 cards. Each turn you draw up to four cards. You can play all of them on the field. Each card has (a) different element(s). There is fire, water, air, earth, and spirit. A card can have different elements on each side which means you will have a card you can connect to another fire card and have a connection to a water card at the same time. You can’t play a card if you can’t connect it to another one.

First Impressions:

I learned how to play the game after just the first introduction match. That is impressive!

The game is so simple to learn, I think I can get others who would be intimidated by other card games to try this out. I REALLY hope a Mobile version of this is on the way, because this game has great potential for a strong scene.

Also I was curious on how they monetize the game. It appears to be SUPER generous. I mean, 15 bucks for the ENTIRE first season of cards? Insane value!

Magic Nations - Card Game

Magic Nations - Card Game

This game is not worth Your time. Some people already pointed some stuff out, but I would like to emphasize some more:

1. Updates

This company tends to overpromise and underdeliver. Despite that, there’s no roadmap published there are some ‘under construction’ functionalities within the game. For now, just 3 out of 6 races are available, story mode is ‘coming soon’ and ‘special cards’ are just a placeholder. Updates history on steam shows that company is more interested in monetization than deliver content as major changes made are related to buying packs for real money and marketplace. Little to none bugfixes or design improvements…

Beta needs alot of work. You get all the cards in the game to work with without having to work for them. That means everyone can just slim their decks down to 20, using only the best cards. Then comes into play, RNG. The top player has a rediculous amount of games played compared to everyone else. This leads me to believe he is part of the dev team. Ranking is based on “experience” (which you earn thru wins/losses). As long as you keep playing (you get matched against the AI randomly too, which you can farm higher exp), you can never lose your position. I got a full feel for the game in it’s entirety… in 1.7 hours.

Istanbul: Digital Edition

Istanbul: Digital Edition

It’s really cute. There’s something really pleasant about mooching about and filling one’s wheelbarrow and planning things and working out how to get your assistants back and just enjoying the mechanics. I enjoyed it more playing as a beginner against another beginner and exploring. I first thought there wasn’t enough interaction but actually the two lira cost to visit somewhere where one’s opponent’s assistant is standing can be subtly quite depleting. I really like it so far after two solo games and one online with a friend, who also liked it.

Real player with 42.2 hrs in game

Istanbul is a new addition to my list of favourite games. I do not own the physical game but cannot imagine how it could be different from this digital version.

Gameplay is turn-based on a 4X4 grid. You move your game piece around the board, selecting your own route and performing a different action on each of the 16 tiles. The object of the game is to be the first to collect 5 rubies through the collection and sale/trade of goods. You can initially carry only a limited number of goods and travel only a short distance, but your abilities are augmented throughout the game by purchasing wagon upgrades and mosques. There are many paths to victory and the ability for some mild interference amongst players. I find the game a good mix of strategy with plenty of tactical decisions, and I like that you have control of your own fate and play style.

I’m sorry to say that this game is very unimpressive, regardless it being free. The instructions are on the steam page if you wish to find out how to play, therefore it jumps you right into the game. There is sooooo much wasted empty space. The matching eggs and so forth can easily be put into a simple smaller grid. The description describes like you can compete against someone, but If you can, I have no idea.
