THE GAME OF LIFE 2

THE GAME OF LIFE 2

Now, you may be wondering why I have over 100 hours in a game where there’s DLC and a season pass. It’s not about the money, it’s about the gameplay. I don’t have any dlc as it’s just the same gameplay but with different skins.

PROS:

Steal money from friends, bots, or others in online

Have pets (just dogs or cats)

Exploit the economy if you’re lucky enough not to land on tax spaces

You can be single just like real life

When married, it costs nothing and you actually earn money from it

There’s no divorce papers so your partner doesn’t take anything from you

I’ve had this game get stuck three times now right at the end. It counts the money and the pieces just stand there, moving their heads and jumping around. On top of that, all the maps except one are behind a paywall. Had I known I was only gonna get one map with this game, I wouldn’t have gotten it. I figured since it was so based around having new maps, that there would be more than one available to play without paying. Ha. Nope. I bought this during the Steam Summer Sale and it still wasn’t worth the discounted price. What a joke. Greed has gotten the best of this one.

I get why this has mixed reviews but at the price point it’s worth it. This is basically just a digital recreation of your favorite childhood game. Not much more and not much less.

There are a couple small interface issues, like for example sometime a card pops up for a few seconds and before you’ve figured out what the card even says you are being asked to select another player to apply the card to…. now I don’t know if this card is going to take money away from them or pay them money becasue I can’t actually see the card when slecting another player. So the two obvious solutions are to either make you select the card to continue so at least you have a chance to read it or acknowledge it before selecting another player or leave the card visible when selecting another player. But neither is an option here.

cute little game thats nice to play it has a great soundtrack and nice visuals. theres not much in terms of variety for the actual gameplay but the game itself lasts awhile so theres lots to do. Theres not many players so playing online is kind of depressing and playing with the CPU just doesnt feel that fun but the pass and play feature for people irl is actually a great way to play if you want to play with real people. I assume in the future where there are more players that own the game online will improve. The game can get glitchy, sometimes in really bad spots, like the spinner froze for me right at the very end of the game which felt really frustrating but its not frequent enough to be a real issue. The game is nice to play if you can’t decide what else to play or you’re really bored. Also its worth noting that the acheivements are really easy to complete and you can probably get them all perfect in like 6-7 hrs of gameplay so its good if you like getting perfect games or something. Overall a good game and my expectations were definitely exceeded.

This game is so much fun for the whole family! You get to roleplay as Mr. Monopoly man’s henchmen; people are saying that the game is glitchy and crashes a-lot, but I disagree! It only crashes when you SUCK at the game haha. Anyway, I totally recommend this game for any hard-core video gamers, but also casuals alike! Bots are really fun to play with because they make me feel adequate in my life.

I just don’t understand the hate for the game. Mr. Monopoly gave me this nice Kool-Aid and everytime I play the game I just have a blast… :) 10/10

The game is great but there is one problem. The NAT type problem. For some reason this game has a weird system where most of the time you have a strict NAT type which means you can’t join online games with friends so it locks you out of the fun part of the game. Additionally Ubisoft have done nothing so far and you have to port forward whatever it is in your router in order to fix it. This is the only game that has this problem. No other game has this problem to what I believe. The main game is great but connecting is the biggest problem this game has.

I love this game. But as Monopoly stands right now, I have to give the game a negative review. For a multitude of reasons. (The only good thing is Thank-God it’s basically a FREE game)! But the negative reviews DON’T LIE!

Bottom Line Issues:

1. The disconnecting issues have been brought up by many, but never fixed. The BS ‘Hotfives’ did absolutely nothing.

2. In the beginning of the game, you still land on Milan. And then Sydney…and so on. This was brought up by many, but never fixed. Once, maybe twice have I ever found this to be different…And when so, 1st roll lands on Lost Island…What a Treat!

  • You are able to play with your friends for only 24 hours (except 2v2 against randoms), after that you gotta subscribe for $1 a month. bullshhhhhhhht

  • Queuing with a friend means nothing - most of the time you play 2v2 against the friend you queued with

  • It’s P2W

  • If a friend disconnects due to some issues, he cannot reconnect

also.. wtf are those bots AI :-D my friend disconnected due to internet connection problems, her bot jumped on chance - give up a city to opponent. well guess which city the bot gave to the enemy team? ofc the one who was worth the most and had hotel, which lead us to lose.

Power Pushout

Power Pushout

Power Pushout is a turn-based strategy game with martial arts elements set in an epic asian environment. Choose your warrior and master figures and fight with them in a wild battle over the control of the game board. You can either push your opponent off the ground or conquer the opposing towers to decide the game. But be careful that your enemy doesn’t sneak past your troops like a ninja and usurp victory.

MAIN FEATURES

  • Defeat your opponent with cool finishing moves, sword assaults and kung fu kicks are on the agenda.

  • Choose your warrior and master figures, and combine their Power Points to destroy your opponent’s pieces.

  • Use the included map editor to create your own Zen garden. The smart placement system helps you get results quickly under full control.

  • You can trigger Earthquakes or add Super Crystals to surprise your opponent.

Super Crystals provide your character with extra power or a greater range of movement.

  • Power Pushout offers you four different game modes:

    Classic, Normal, Destruction and Football.

Each mode can be played online or locally versus a friend or an AI, which is based on machine learning and smart heuristics.

Blood Rage: Digital Edition

Blood Rage: Digital Edition

To start off I absolutely love the physical boardgame and play it often which had me looking forward to this game.

Logging into this as soon as it went live was disheartening from the get go as you are confronted with a menu screen that looks like it could have been ripped from an old newgrounds flash game. While it is visually appalling the real problems start once you attempt to play it.

Cons:

-out of an attempted 12 multiplayer games that I hosted 9 froze during the first god’s gift phase, one froze during the second age god’s gift phase, and another froze as soon as the last province was pillaged in the 3rd age, leaving me with only one multiplayer game that was able to be played through fully.(Don’t comment on your lack of frozen games if you are only playing single player, multiplayer functionality is near nonexistant.)

First of all, I have the board game with a few expansions. And joined the kickstarter, so I’m actually a backer of this digital project.

-The beta period lasted for 3 weeks. Finished right at the beginning of the lockdown.

-The project was then abandoned till the Ankh kickstarter finished. We did not have any news for months, but 24h after the Ankh kickstarter finished, we got news.

-This digital Blood rage was expected to be released in December 2019. It’s been almost 6 months.

-The game was launched on May 27th and everyone got access but we - the backers - had to wait for hours to get access.

Carcassonne - Tiles & Tactics

Carcassonne - Tiles & Tactics

edit : changed my review to NEGATIVE. The reason being that there has been a bug in the game for many, many months now where players don’t get to see their final scores in the game on most occassions. There’s not much point playing a multiplayer game if you don’t know who won!!!

I bought the physical version of Carcassonne two weeks ago on a Saturday morning. After a couple of games with a friend and working out how to play it I decided to invest in this digital version. It seemed like a good game and playing the digital version was going to ensure I’d understood the rules properly.

The game is true to the original, playable and quite pretty, but for this price, the user experience is very poor.

Sounds:

The background ambient sounds are as loud and clear as the interface sounds, so it often feels like the game is trying to tell you something, but it’s just a background noise. Making this effect worse, the sounds play totally at random, which means the same sound will often play over and over again, which can only mean it’s signalling something, but it’s nothing. There’s no option to turn off just the ambient sounds.

Catan Universe

Catan Universe

I love playing Catan, but as other reviews have noted, there are some flaws with this online version of the game. They seem to come up more often when the AI is increased to Veteran or Master.

1. Trades with AI are often ignored. I approve them, the games acts as if it’s rejected. Eventually, you can only trade if you initiate, and you must get a ? port to have a chance to win.

2. The AI target the human player with the robber, even when the human player is losing. I had 3 points and no cards, but still the AI put the robber on me over and over when the other AI had more points and many cards. 5 times in a row at the beginning of the game, even after they’d robbed all of my starting resources.

Alright ladies and gents, listen up. As someone with over 350 hours on record, I’m gonna give you the low down of this online game.

TLDR; the rolling system sucks, full of bugs, development cards suck, don’t download or buy…yet.

So firstly, I must say that I am an avid Settlers of Catan player. I own every expansion available in the United States and play some form of the game at least once every couple of weeks. I’ve been playing for 17 years. I love the board game and have recently taken to trying variants such as Poverty is No Shame.
