Monster Jaunt
This game has that classic Nintendo couch party vibe. I’ve played it with a few different groups of people, and it seems to work well with both frequent and casual gamers. The minigames have a good amount of variety to them, and there’s enough minigames to give it a plenty of replayability. One particularly nice touch is the adorable art of the hybrid creatures in the game. I’ve fallen in love with the panda/andaconda hybrid"pandaconda" and the fiery otter “magmotter”.

I would heartily recommend Monster Jaunt for anyone looking for a new party game.
The mini games give you a variety of challenges that mostly focus on skill and not pure chance. The board game is engaging and yet lightweight enough to be understood at a glance. Nearly the entire game allows for simultaneous play, so you don’t lose engagement while someone else it taking their turn. The Remote Play Together integration works wonderfully, as expected. Being able to play a local game across the country with little detriment is a huge bonus feature for a game like this.

Blood Rage: Digital Edition
To start off I absolutely love the physical boardgame and play it often which had me looking forward to this game.
Logging into this as soon as it went live was disheartening from the get go as you are confronted with a menu screen that looks like it could have been ripped from an old newgrounds flash game. While it is visually appalling the real problems start once you attempt to play it.
Cons:
-out of an attempted 12 multiplayer games that I hosted 9 froze during the first god’s gift phase, one froze during the second age god’s gift phase, and another froze as soon as the last province was pillaged in the 3rd age, leaving me with only one multiplayer game that was able to be played through fully.(Don’t comment on your lack of frozen games if you are only playing single player, multiplayer functionality is near nonexistant.)

First of all, I have the board game with a few expansions. And joined the kickstarter, so I’m actually a backer of this digital project.
-The beta period lasted for 3 weeks. Finished right at the beginning of the lockdown.
-The project was then abandoned till the Ankh kickstarter finished. We did not have any news for months, but 24h after the Ankh kickstarter finished, we got news.
-This digital Blood rage was expected to be released in December 2019. It’s been almost 6 months.
-The game was launched on May 27th and everyone got access but we - the backers - had to wait for hours to get access.

Tatsu
If you like backgammon look no further. Very nice concept for a board game.Thinking to buy a physical version as well. The only problem is that the AI is way too easy even on hardest level. High difficulty level should be more about optimal play than hostile rng. But it is a casual game with endless replayability and serious depth. At the moment the players database is small -though you can always find easily an opponent- but this is a quality classic board game that will eventually be recognised. It is relaxing to play and it takes same approach as backgammon: One should play lots of games and with better players than him/her self in order to become better.

After more than 100 hours playing this game, I owe it a review. Blueline developed this digital version of the game, but it was a board game first. I believe it came out last year (2016), and it’s from the mind of John Yanni. He also designed the very very fantastic Hive. Blueline also developed the digital version of that game.
I know Tatsu won’t appeal to everyone, but I really dig it. It’s my come home from work, turn on some music/podcasts, and relax game. As much as I love Hive and other abstract strategy games, they can be very stress inducing at times. Tatsu certainly rewards strategy and skill, but it’s much more chill for me.

100% Orange Juice
I’m revamping this review, as my last one which I had made months ago was meant as a in-joke, which probably isn’t the ideal approach. So, where do I begin?
100% Orange Juice is a board game featuring characters across multiple games from the Japanese indie group daidai (who are better known as OrangeJuice among the populace). The game premise is to move around the board obtaining stars and/or wins from successful battles, which allow you to increase your Norma level, which in turn allows access to cards. Cards play a vast role in 100% Orange Juice by changing the scenarios in and outside of battle. Some common examples are having access to two dice for movement, healing yourself after a battle, and setting traps which can slow down other players. Due to the versatility of cards, you will find yourself always trying out different deck creations.

After many hours of play, I think it’s time I finally put in a review as a means of advice to potential buyers.
100% Orange Juice is good/challenging game that will give you many triumphs and tragedies. Many negative reviews you may read might say things like “games are very long and require almost no skill” or “you just throw dice”. I disagree with these sentiments entirely. If you intend to buy OJ, you need to understand it’s a very specific kind of game. This is a dice board game, where RNG and skill take center stage. If you intend to buy this game and assume you can master it and win every game, and have a perfect W/L ratio, prepare to be disappointed. It is impossible to master OJ and sometimes the game can be extremely upsetting. So why do people like me keep coming back?

Got the game on sale and think it was worth the $0.50CAD.
It feels like a friend drew a bunch of labyrinths that get gradually harder and harder.
I tried to do a little speed run to test my brain and level 15 got me so lost that I ended up going back to the start by accident! haha
Anyways, the “refined game element” isnt there. The levels are made a bit sloppy, again like I stated above, as if someone drew them. But I do reccomend this to someone who thinks they are smart.

Simply Chess
This is a free game, which means it doesn’t really matter whether I “recommend” it or not. So I won’t recommend it, and you’re gonna get it anyway. Everybody wins. Unless you try the multiplayer, which is a fate worse than death. But we’ll get to that.
I guess it’s a decent enough chess simulator, but there are some glaring problems that leaves it an unsatisfactory experience.
The most absurd characteristic that you’ll soon notice is that computer black never, ever - EVER! - plays the Sicilian defense, the line which is statistically the most advantageous for black. I didn’t see it once, even after beating all 100 computer levels, with hundreds of games as white (I have no idea how many, as you can’t “resign” games against the computer, and losing games that you simply exit are not counted in the statistics). The engine does love the Scandinavian defense though. Get used to seeing that.

I am only writing this review because this game does in fact deserve positive feedback. I am very disappointed at how the Steam community immediately give negative feedback to newly released games as if the game was already in its finalized form. This basically gives the developers no morale or reason to continue improving their game since the rating has already been decided by the sheer ignorance of the community.

Where are my Internets?
One-of-a-kind DYI-style indie board game, simple but challenging.
Contrary to what you may (and I did) think at first, it’s really hard to play with a single character; but it has a special achievement for winning exactly that type of a game. Some of the encounters are purely fictional, and it’s weird in a funny way to see this in a setting based around searching for (and actually installing) a satellite dish-provided Wi-Fi in some rural area.
All in all, funny little adventurous thing, best played in hot-seat mode!

- Visually the game looks pretty adorable with cute drawn artwork that looks more or less like a hand-made board game.

Far too RNG based. The entire game is based off pure luck, there is little to no real strategy or decisions for the player to make, every outcome is based on the dice roll.

The gameplay is too simple and repetitive. You roll, land on a tile, fight a monster, if you win you get money or an item you can sell. That is about all there is to the entire game… if you land in the city you can pay to put up internet. Once you get enough money from fighting, and get internet in every town you win… I could not find anything fun, really lacks any real challenge.

The Witcher Adventure Game
This is a good realization of the board game. It is playable as hot-seat or online and may give you many hours of enjoyable experience.
But there are some flaws that need to be fixed to make the game perfect:
1. When a player have to do a choice, he/she can’t access to the game map and/or any player hero sheet and resources including his/her own. This may easily lead to wrong decisions and waste fun. The board game is obviously free from this limitation. So, the possibility to “minimize” the choice and take look at the game state will make the game much comfortable.

This game is technically solid. There’s good music, there’s a nice atmosphere, the encounters are cool and the interaction is nearly well excecuted. It’s a very well thought out board game, with minor flaws and weird ‘fast travel’ systems that just robs you of your money.
With nearly well, I mean that the AI is A) dumb as hell, B) cheats.
As for the dumbness - the AI tends to just spend all their development cards for 1 fight, while s/he should only need 1. Then there’s the endless ‘fast travelling’ that they’re doing and making things harder for themselves.

Gremlins, Inc.
I saw adverts of this game while it was still in beta stage. The peculiar character of the graphics made the whole intriguing but I suspended with the purchase till Gremlins, Inc. left pre-release state. Watched some gameplay videos but without sufficient knowledge of the rules I could only tell that the game has really strong influence on the players. In fact only the description of available achievements made me realize the depth of the Gremlins, Inc. and convinced me to add it to my Winter Sale basket.

This is a virtual board game with a strong focus on strategy in a non-deterministic setting, requiring probabilistic reasoning (think of poker).
The game is set in a steampunk society of (genderless) gremlins that see the purpose of their existance in grabbing power and profit by tricking and cheating each other. The design of the game material is in a hand-drawn cartoonesque style and visually appealing. Also the available music kits (to be won as prices in free-to-open chests) are a nice feature.

The Elder Scrolls®: Legends™
Currently the most fun Digital Card game out there for me. It takes the good parts from Hearthstone (yes there are good parts) adds more versatility with deckbuilding by using a more similer to MTG style color system for cards, but limits it to 2 colors per deck with dual colored cards added in flavor for the tribes represented in those colors.
Like, if you want to play Kahjit’s, you can find Kahjit cards in Yellow and Green and they’re general ability is to Pilfer, gain the card text on the card when they deal dmg to their opponent. That means they’ll be understatted when they first get on the board, but will generally prove more valuable than their similerly costed counterparts. Now they have a Dual Colored card that gives all Pilfer creatures 2 attacks per turn! Now you might think this sounds rediculously strong, the answer is yes, however! The answers available to deal with them before they gain their true value are pretty good, so good that going all out for a Pilfer deck generally doesn’t work out that well.

It is clear that from the beginning few in the upper echelon of Bethesda management, except for Pete Hines, saw any long term potential in their foray into the ccg market. Nevertheless through a complete development team switch and a ground up rebuild of the game client, the core design team behind TESL managed to create something which rivaled and at times exceeded the products of their largest competitors.
TESL is dead, there will be no more tournaments, there will be no more expansions, most of its players have moved on. However, the advancements in ccg design theory made by its designers are critical for anyone with an academic or professional interest in the genre to study.
