PARKUR 44

There is only one rule in the game and that is to know the end of the track you play!

You will be given a period of time before starting the course, during which time you will have to finish the game.

If the time runs out, you have to start again from the very beginning of the track.

  • There are multiple maps in the game.

  • You can continue by selecting a map of your choice.

  • The game has a level system.

  • You earn level points when you finish each track.

If you want to play the game with your friend, you can create a room and compete with each other by entering the same Lan connection.

Currently there is no multiplayer system available.

Future times are planned.

It’s such a great game, but you need to know what to do with your cards. It’s too expensive for me. It should be F2P

I’m sorry to say that this game is very unimpressive, regardless it being free. The instructions are on the steam page if you wish to find out how to play, therefore it jumps you right into the game. There is sooooo much wasted empty space. The matching eggs and so forth can easily be put into a simple smaller grid. The description describes like you can compete against someone, but If you can, I have no idea.

Die Like a Hero

Die Like a Hero

Play with a die that got tired of just being used and decided to become the game’s protagonist. In turn-based combat, he’ll do anything to be the hero of that game.

Your main skill will be to attack at the right moment, only then will you be able to reach the end of the game and be a hero.

Fight like a die! Your attack will be the number on the die that is face up, so move wisely.

Features:

  • Procedural Generation - Procedurally generated environments and enemies;

  • Permanent Death - Each death is a new experience;

  • Turn-based combat - Use your best combat strategy;

  • Rogue-lite - Less harsh and punishing mechanics.

The Chronicles of Quiver Dick

The Chronicles of Quiver Dick

You had my attention with the crazy name, but when I saw myself on that store page screenshot I was sold!

(Haha, so in all seriousness, anyone reading this will probably assume I have a biased opinion, considering the developers decided to toss me in their game. Fuck that though! I’m gonna be honest as fuck!)

First off, let me say this is a very short game. Shorter than ‘MaP’ (Metal as Phuk) but that’s kind of the point. It’s a quick and comfy adventure. Flooded with dialogue that eminates some (sweet, sweet) low-brow humour. Sometimes it’s great, and sometimes it falls flat; which leaves you waiting to move on to the next joke. It’s kind of like SNL in a way.

UPDATE: I have changed my review to negative, which is unfortunate. The developer has been proven to be a deplorable human being, and one that cannot be trusted. Do not support them. The game was fun, sure, but I’m not supporting this person anymore.

I, too, hope they cast a substantially less racist version of Mel Gibson in the movie about MY life. Guess I’ll have to settle for an awesome cameo in this game. (Seriously!)

And, while I have a cameo, I won’t let it affect my review of the game. I played and beat this in a single setting (took about 3 hours) and laughed so hard my throat still hurts. The game’s humor is crass, and in your face often, but it never feels overstated, nor does it seem ham-fisted. The pacing is well done throughout, and when a joke seems like it might be wearing out its welcome, it ends.

Sink Again

Sink Again

If you want light-weight pirate-y fare with a primitive economic model coupled with a bunch of turn-based mini dungeon crawls and disconnected scenarios that have you starting from scratch after each mission, then this game is for you!

If you’re not looking for all that, you might still get your money’s worth out of the game. I’ve only completed a few of the scenarios and yet there is enough meat here that I’ve got over 20 hours in, and the rewards for each scenario are interesting enough that I want to see what the next batch will add to my arsenal.

Nice little game. Not very complicated as turn-based / strategy game, and it tends toward grinding, but it manages to keep me busy and interested. Also, the silly slapstick jokes make me smile. If you ever wanted to play as a gorilla bashing pirates with an anchor…

The game comes with a good number of “scenarios”. Start a scenario, you get a (very) small ship and 2000 gp, and a selection of 3 to 5 pirates to hire in the nearby tavern. First hire is free, and is usually the one you pick as the captain of your crew - at start, anyway, you can change your captain later.
