K.O.M.A
this game looked promising considering I like horror/puzzle games but after getting stuck for 30 minutes in the very first room trying to find a simple fuse, I refunded it while I still could. Graphics, lighting and sound seemed good, but got angry and had to give up. will probably buy later when someone tells me where that damn 4th fuse is

Update 10th April
Devs have informed me that a price drop is coming they’re waiting for the for steam approval. Also free loco being implemented so this makes it a much more attractive purchase.
An average VR escape the room game with a horror aspect which includes a couple of jump scares. It would be a recommend if priced at $10 Australian but $18.50 is a little high so pick up on sale or in a bundle it will surely turn up in.
A couple of the puzzles are easy but it does have some harder ones and one that you have to guess one of the answers as I was unable to find it. Anyway attached video has a review and then after 3 minutes there are spoilers on all the puzzles if you are stuck. There are time stamps on the youtube comment section so you can go right to the puzzle and not spoil others.

SHINRAI - Broken Beyond Despair
“What had transpired here tonight was a rather complex chain of events, but I was going to explain everything as best as I could… So that they, too, would be able to understand the tragic truth behind it all. “
-Raiko Shinpuku
–——————
SHINRAI ~ Broken Beyond Despair is a murder mystery visual novel and first in the SHINRAI series, as well as the first game developed by indie German video game developer “Gosatsu”, a duo consisting of core members Gospel and Natsu. As a visual novel, gameplay in SHINRAI ~ Broken Beyond Despair consists primarily of reading, with interactivity delegated to segments wherein the player is prompted to present evidence in order to prove or disprove character deductions. Through a series of just such segments, the player progressively pieces together the identity of an anonymous killer and reveals the truth behind an otherwise seemingly straightforward death.

Shinrai provides a thrilling substitute for mystery fans, providing that itch of content when the well of other mystery titles dries up.
Despite a small team of about two people, Shinrai is a rare example of an indie mystery novel delivering a surprisingly good mystery. Shinrai isn’t without its flaws, but given its budget constraints, its a testament that a little passion can go a long way!
The game takes place at a secluded mountain resort, as a group of anime schoolmates convene for a Halloween party. Needless to say things go horribly wrong as murder and mayhem ensues. Piece together the clues, and discern who’s truly responsible, otherwise you may wrongly send an innocent character to jail!

Murder Diaries
An unusual idea, but at the same time very exciting. That’s what make this game unique.
I mean content-plot, it is not just a short story. MOREOVER, while playing you are getting more and more new adventures. Our task is to collect some fragments of the story and finally investigate murder.
Pros: interesting plot, good graphic, well-chosen soundtrack
Cons right now can’t be noticed by me, i might played too little time to notice them.
And to conclude, this game is something unusual, not like others one. Really good one to spend free time

Jiangshi x Daoshi
I absolutely love this game! It uses a refreshing mix of static avatars & backgrounds, with frequent animation and motion comic action panels reminiscent of Dead Leaves. This gives the game an extremely dynamic feel, which makes up for the lack of choices. Like many Visual Novels, heavy emphasis is on the word Novel, as such, interaction in this game is mostly limited to hunting for words that the in-game hover-dictionary may explain for you.
Jiangshi X Daoshi boasts a rich story packed with fantastic Chinese mythology/historical information, with a wholesome dynamic between the main characters.

Please be mindful that this is the censored version uploaded to steam.
I wish to bring awareness to this. Apparently this VN was banned upon submission because of certain scenes and they’ve fought tooth and nail the bring it back for us to enjoy. Bans usually mean end of the line for most games from what I have heard. I’ve went back in to check most of these scenes and they aren’t even close to becoming questionable. DeadFright
Inspired by several horror legends from Latin America, DeadFright’s storyline unfolds in the fictional town of ‘Ravenford’ where you will find yourself stranded and in need to survive a disastrous outbreak of living corpses. While you explore the small town you will be able to interact with the residents to find help and uncover the story behind the outbreak. In this action game, you will be able to fight with the creatures, or die trying thus becoming one of them playing in the reverse role, searching and killing residents.

Very good game although to a man who created his first game. A very interesting game develops the thinking, only short compared to it’s price !. But still a fun and nice game.

Murder Diaries 2
Murder Diaries 2 - with a good plot. Nice graphics and pretty good music. The gameplay is pretty simple, you fly around the white circle and piece together the whole story. The game is addictive. Recommend!

A very good and beautiful game with its own riddles and mysticism, it makes you think about the plot, it is pleasing to the eyes. It is somewhat reminiscent of an old game from my childhood, which was also about investigations.

Shining Hotel: Lost in Nowhere
Since I’ve opted to thumb this game up, I should start this review with a highly emphatic disclaimer, namely:
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME AT FULL PRICE, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I bought it in a pack with another game for a smidgen under ten dollars, and it was still FAR TOO MUCH. This game is very, VERY short (twenty minutes, tops), and worth maybe two bucks at best. That said: I’ve never thumbed a game down purely on the basis of its price, and I’m not about to start here. You have, however, been warned. On with the review, then…

nice experience, good story.. but very bad gameplay!
what is horror to these developers? seriously, is this even scary?
it’s more than a walking simulator!
I’m ok with the game length that everybody’s complaining about, but it’s not horror at all
it doesn’t worth this amount of money..
I’m sorry, but this is the truth

Kindergarten
This game is amazing! It is a pretty short game, and it can be beaten in only a couple of long sessions. Frankly, I couldn’t really see anybody playing this in many short sessions, as it is a very grind-y game, however, if you often find yourself having long chunks of time in your day, this game is a nice way to fill that time.

Hilarious, brutal, violent, and heartwarming. Those are the words I would use to describe this game. Mostly violent.
