This is the best non-turn-based John Wick simulator. Running around face shooting and doing gun fu and knife takedowns never gets old. My only complaint would be the difficulty, but for me that just makes it have more value as I play a level over and over trying to beat it. Some might get frustrated, though, at going all the way back to the beginning of each level when you die.

Each level gives you a set location and group of badguys to take out, usually on your way to some kind of objective, even though there is no story at present to give any meaning to the killing. That is fine with me, but it might urk some. They are planning to add cut scenes, though, so for now, make up your own story about how the people he’s going after killed his car and stole his dog right after his sister died or something.

The combat for this game is well executed.

It rewards you with a full magazine for landing 7 back-to-back pistol shots.

Missed some of your shots? No problem, the game encourages you to mix it up with a close quarters option as a stylishly fancy way of getting more ammo for your pistol.

Performing an up close finisher on an enemy gives you a full magazine in your pistol. In order to have a chance to do a finisher you’ll need to build up a meter using punches and kicks.

Punch and kick are on 2 separate buttons, this is important to take note of because kicking objects towards enemies (including grenades) is a mechanic in the game.

They Bleed Pixels - Satisfaction that comes at a price

If you check on Steam it actually comes at pretty low price. But obviously I was not talking about money. I was talking about time (which equals money) but let talk more about why I came to such a conclusion.

So if you have read my previous review you probably guessed that I like this game because it is a 2D platformer. And yes I like platformers and I was collecting them in the past when I had time to play any games. Naturally I came across this game and loved it at first sight. And why not? I watched the trailer and I saw fast paced action, lots of different moves and attacks. I loved this simplistic but beautiful art style. It also said it was inspired H.P Lovecraft which told me absolutely nothing at first but after searching online I know all I needed. Another thing that got me really excited was the number of achievements to unlock. And my friends know that I’m a achievement-junkie. But I should have read what those achievements are about. From the tags I new it wasn’t going to be easy and I was quite ready for that. So I grabbed my controller, fired up the game and focused on my TV screen…

They Bleed Pixels is a challenging wall jump platformer, with a satisfying unique premise, quality combat and engaging mechanics.

You control a presumably troubled student at the Lafcadio Academy for troubled girls. She stumbles across a magical book that makes you have wild dreams involving a few strangely horrific creatures, several bloody spikes, and an ever present number of saws. The book also has glowing bits and pages that not only are missing, but found inside said dreams. Take heed of any such events that occur in reality, as these are not normal behaviors for books or their pages.

Regain Earth: First Strike

Regain Earth: First Strike

Played almost 240 hours so far - loving the game and the addition of the turrent grenades has added a handy dimension for single players.

Looking forward to improving my skills to open higher levels.

Really miss multi-player games (Defiance) for the interactions, but I will have to continue as a single player for now.

Cheers,

Regain Earth is a small game from a solo indie game developer. You can’t expect Fortnite or COD, but I really like it. If you like a mix of roguelikes, as a 3D shooter and generally small indie games, you will have a lot of fun with it.

Feedback is well considered in the community and you can even vote in Discord which features should be added to the game! I think a cool idea and more game developer should do like this.

The game and the beta I follow for a while now. And have been looking forward to EA release today very much. I enjoy the game since beta a lot especially as multiplayer with my friends.

As a playtester for this game’s Steam release I can say with confidence that this is a really solid game with amazing gameplay. And not only that, it has a lovely indie team behind it too! Definetly pick this game up if.

The gameplay feels very smooth when hacking your way through levels, being able to pick up virtually anything around you as a weapon in your fight as Mr. Wolf. Even when dying a lot at points, which can happen quite frequently with the well-executed 1 hit death system, I never felt like giving up or taking a pause. For those who don’t like dying much: there is an option in the settings to make yourself invincible so you can really go all-out slashing.

Hotline Miami on speed. This is a great top down action game, it’s fast paced, very fun, a lot of creativity and a very strong level design. The OST has some really nice bangers as well.

There is A LOT of weapons everywhere and your goal is to power through levels by any means necessary. Use a pistol, a scythe, a snowball, a fish, an explosive barrel, a mini gun and others more or less crazy alternatives. It’s all about speed, making combo and using different weapons to try to get the highest score possible. You can unlock hats that have various effect by defeating bosses or reaching a certain highscore. The hats have a real Hotline Miami vibe of course, you can tell the devs are fan of that game, you feel their passion throughout the game.

I played this game at PAX East this past April and enjoyed it so I ended up following through and purchasing the game. I absolutely love it. I find everything about it great:

-Going at high speeds through pulsars and gas giants and gaining even more speed

-Dodging obstacles left and right and zipping through debris

-The unique mechanic of being able to go from one side of the screen to the other

-The variety in solar systems (Thier colors, debris, and art style)

-Beautiful art style that is almost like a cartoon but is really quite amazing

## Melon Simulator™

I cant stop. Playing. Making maps. Playing those maps. Changing something about said map. Playing again. There isnt much here currently, but for 6.99 cad you cant go wrong. Tons of maps most of them usermade on the workshop but there are some really well done maps and ideas on there that will keep the wave based gameplay from getting stale. Hopefully one day we get guns. So i can spam all of the maps ive made with them and make a melony mess.

You'd be surprised but for a zombie type game this is fairly original.

Let me explain.

### Weapon Originality

Most zombie games would throw guns at you, and to get weapons you have to pay for them.

In this game you have melee weapons and to find them you need to search around the map, or find them from random generation.

### BUGS

Bugs are noticeable but not outright making the game unplayable. These bugs I often notice playing with friends and can be annoying, but Early Access game is gonna Early Access game.

## Stones of Sorrow

Read the store page, view the video, and you will have a good grip on the premise of this game. Now check the controls and go get those stones. You will need one for each hand to smash your blood brother's head in properly.

Wow what a great Developer. All of my pin points below have been addressed and are no longer issues as of this past update(1.1.2) and it has been Less than a week. The movement even feels more fluid. I ran into a couple random issues… but I have screenshot them with descriptions. I'm curious to see how much gametime it will take to max out my perks :)

This game will blow your mind! Like, where else can you play a game so innovative like that? Cave paintings killing each other, a cool variety of items and, in the middle, a story well arranged and nicely told? Holy crap! You'll say "why didn't I play this gem before?" (ps: you'll die a lot, but that won't keep your hands off the controller. You'll beg for more or, should I say, beg for gore?)

I've already "finished" Stones of Sorrow 4 or 5 times and now I'm in for the achievements, mainly 'cause this state of the art item of human badassery -both the pre-historic cave art/21st game development- totally deserves it.

## Dead Moon - Revenge on Phobos -

This game is great!!! You learn the control quick and anyone can play (great game to throw friends on). I know it is still in early access but the developers have a wonderful foundation, and lots of content already. This game is a mixture of syfy, aliens, and FPS shooting. There are some things that could be improved but I highly recommend this to anyone. 9/10

Pros:

- Fast paced movement speed reminds me of retro games like doom…..LOVE IT!!!!

- Plenty of weapons to pick from, and quickly in the heat of battle

I got this game recently after some updates have been running. I find the game concept successful and very straight. Many monsters and a fast gameplay with some surprises like jumscares etc. A mixture of Dead Space and Doom, I think. With the four episodes you have a long playing time. Three levels of difficulty can be selected. Most of the time you are inside a space station that looks dark and is quickly covered in blood. The levels are kept simple with some nice details. If you like VR action and don't expect a realistic simulation, this is the place to be. The game runs smoothly on my 1080 TI.

## Depths of Limbo

### **Patiently waiting for more content**

**A Binding of Isaac clone in early access.**

Its a good little game all around, solid shooting, varied enemies and bullet patterns. Its just a matter of adding more content.

There is Fair amount of **Strategy** already, you can go for different builds. Take risks, wager your health and coins.

For example the weaker items may come in handy if you plan to waste the extra heart, on the sacrificial altar for a chance of a better bonus, and it is a working strategy, with the right items.

*– [Real player with 9.6 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198113497432)*

The game is nice, but certainly unfinished (it's on Early Access, after all). The developer was very active in the beginning, but nothing has happened since March (both game uptades and announcements). Though already fun, buying it now is financing its potential, not its content, that is scarse.

With that said, the game's premise is the Binding of Isaac's room by room than floor by floor style, but with Nuclear Throne's twin stick controls and focus on weapons and ammo, not (primarily) abilities. Depths of Limbo already has it all, but not much to offer in any front. A few enemies, a few weapons, a few abilities, a few bosses.
