CARNAGE OFFERING

CARNAGE OFFERING

Developed by Futurtech, Carnage Offering is a brutally enjoyable and intriguing surreal shooting experience. Diverse monsters, incredibly destructive and upgradeable weapons, fast-paced movement, and carefully tuned physics provide the arcade experience that forms the basis for intense first-person combat. The dark humor in the dialogues, the weapon management and the brutality of the fights make this game a new genre of FPS.

Story

In 2527 in a dystopian world, Jake, an engineer and bounty hunter, travels to the far reaches of the universe through a wormhole. With the help of his friend Roy, Jake’s goal is to exterminate the replicator robots that threaten the Confederate planets.

Led by Roy, Jake has no choice but to accept the missions planned by the alliance and even do the dirty work.

Between missions, Jake comments on the orders in front of the holograms of his future enemies with disillusioned remarks.

Weapons

Oh, by the way, did we tell you that there are weapons? Jake is not a fan of the small spoon. So players need to upgrade their equipment if they hope to defeat the entire menagerie they’re up against.

Players switch from pistols to Gatling guns and must adapt their equipment to the enemies of the moment.

There are 9 different weapons to unlock in this game:

Pistol, machine pistol, shotgun, magnum revolver, grenade launcher, assault rifle, double barrel shotgun, rocket launcher, Gatling gun.

The only way is to pay in dollars. To do this, you have to kill monsters and complete your bounty hunter missions.

You can also buy ammunition and sell it or find it on enemies.

Each weapon has specific upgrades that cost a lot of money.

For example: a fragmentation grenade for the grenade launcher, nuclear missiles for the rocket launcher or a laser gun for the Gatling gun.

You will discover that there is an audio and text description for each weapon. You will learn more about the manufacture and origin of these weapons.

Environments

Moving from a medieval city to a zombie-infested town, Jake travels to the far reaches of the universe to reach his goal.

All levels are completely different and take players on a journey for better or worse.

THIS GAME REWARDS YOU FOR PLAYING

As someone with 50 + hours on the game, I can confirm that you’ll have a KILLER time! Players will be pleased to find there’s FREE rewards to unlock as you level up. (Emotes, Outfits, and Skins!) Not to mention there is going to be MORE content on the way. (Game Modes, New Maps, etc.)

Playing as Charlie, is a blast! You have a variety of powers at your disposal to use against the enemy team. There’s a neat ability that allows you to possess, and take COMPLETE control over an enemy player! It’s a lot of fun to use. The combat system is also very satisfying! From shooting a gun, to dodging an attack. It all feels very fluid. There are currently three maps to choose from, and each one has a somewhat different playstyle. The matches are very well balanced in my opinion, and I find myself enjoying both Charlie, and the survivor side of things. If you love asymmetrical horror games, then this one is DEFINITELY worth giving a shot!

Charlie The Legend has some great ideas that definitely was refreshing to see but, it has resulted in a combination of the worst ideas in an Asymmetrical Horror game. 2 of the 3 maps in the game highlights the flaws in Charlie the Legend’s basic gameplay with tight corridors that are so easy to trap Survivors in. The only time you’re going to win as Survivor is a 4 man team that all know what they’re doing or RNG luck as this game has a horrible spawning system. Sometimes all of the items required to win is ridiculously easy to find and other times it takes the entire game to even find one fuse. This also applies to respawning system as sometimes you spawn next to Charlie and in a place he has trapped with Scavengers making it annoying to even escape. My biggest gripe with the game is the possession mechanic. It is a fun mechanic on paper but one of the most frustrating things to face as a survivor as you can be fighting Charlie with full health then he just possesses and easily kills you by pressing a button on the keyboard. It takes the longest time to obtain this power however, it is still annoying to face as some games it is difficult to find the Amulet on some maps due to the horrible spawn system. Then all you can do is watch as the Charlie player kills you easily with no way to stop him. And the developer had the audacity to call this a “finisher” mechanic. What a joke. Literally gives players an easy kill, especially on Nightmare mode where you only have one life. Nightmare is such a poorly designed game mode that after the first week, no one plays it anymore. As much as the developer tries to balance the game, there’s always an issue with the balance further proving this game’s concept is awful as it is impossible to make the game fun and rewarding for casual and competitive players alike. Time after time, it has become increasingly frustrating to continue playing this game, especially even after the price reduction the all-time peak players has never surpassed 25. Don’t waste your time buying and trying to play this game, there are other high quality Asym Horror games on the market.

House of Evil 2

House of Evil 2

I really tried, I did. Everything about this game is terrible, sorry.

Real player with 4.1 hrs in game

A very interesting sequel of House of Evil 1.

Significantly shorter, with a much smaller map/ space size.

But much better engine and graphics. Also more survival horror element: An enemy that is not defeatable until the very end

The sequel removed the annoying ' biohazard-style herb collecting and crafting holy potions ' system. Leaving only two types of enemy.

It’s a good thing. And the game could be longer, but the current length is OK!

This one and its predecessor are both unique games. Recommended for horror fans

Masked Forces 2: Mystic Demons

Was gifted the masked forces and masked shooters games, and was intrigued to play this game when I noticed that it was on sale. feel like it was worth the money I paid for it. Honestly not bad, a big improvement on the other masked forces games. Would recommend.

This game is so fucking good that no other game has ever, or will ever beat it. I got this game for christmas from a friend of mine, and let me tell you it has gotten me addicted. I have played this game for 16 hours a day for the past months. It has gotten to the point where I had to stop going to school because the game is just so fucking good. It features spooky, scary skeletons that you can shoot in the face and even bosses which can drop legendary loot. Advanced AI and a truly heart-touching storyline. You really want to play this game. The end made me cry everytime I played it. It features loads of epic quests from simple favours, to killing the legendary bonedragon which is so hard legends say that only the veteran mystic forces players can kill it. If you thought following the damn train was hard, you haven’t played this game. From a techinical point of view, the overall realisticness of the game will rape your GPU, for example when the bonedragon breathes fire it will actually set fire to your GPU, so having a watercooled pc is reccomended for playing this game. Finally from a business point of view, this game is the best the market has ever seen, my friend who is an expert in marketing says developers like bethesda, ubisoft, EA, activision… etc (basically all AAA games) will go bankrupt because no one will play their new game. He also says that this game will revolutionize gaming, this game brought the developer so much money that he alone could pay off USA’s debt. And furthermore it increased USA’s GDP by about 192 827%. They really hit the bullseye with the masked forces franchise. Looking forward to see this game hitting the esports scene when multiplayer launches! FreezNova really outdid themselves with this AAAA+ title.

Temptation

Temptation

Well.. for sure this game doesn’t start well from its menu, all written in broken English (with obvious spelling mistakes like “controlls”, “atack”, “demob” (instead of demon), “an” (and), plurals and singulars interchanged (“the demon have” etc.) and so on)..

The music is some kind of rock track taken from who knows where and nothing else, and the help section is quite a mess. You’ll get the basic keys, WASD to move, E assigned to “action” (obviously no remapping at all, and no controller support), shift to run and the left mouse button to attack, I mean.. “atack”.

Bad game

Too fast you do not know what you have to collect everything too confusing

Fun factor is also at zero.

DOOM Eternal

DOOM Eternal

Although it plays and is mechanically less like classic DOOM than DOOM 2016, the feeling of speed and power you get from mastering the combat makes it FEEL like you’re playing classic DOOM. In classic DOOM, you’re whizzing around arenas, dodging, weaving, circle strafing and prioritising targets. This game recreates that feeling well. After Eternal, 2016 feels rather sluggish and Eternal has also made me very critical of 2016. Which is why I prefer Eternal to 2016 any day.

For example in Eternal, You are actively encouraged to stay in the fight and never run away at all times, in order to get health, ammo, armor, you need to take from your enemies. You need to be in there otherwise you die. Whereas in 2016, when you have no ammo or armor, you need to run away from everything to a tiny corner of the map, defenceless, pick up a huge stockpile and run back in which really kills the flow of combat. In classic DOOM this worked because it wasn’t an arena shooter, you were faster moving and so doing this didn’t really slow you down or take you out of the fight - you could get back in there as quickly as you left. But in 2016, doing this is slow because your movement speed in comparison to classic DOOM is extremely slow - but you have to do that because grounded pickups are your main resource. This is dangerous, especially on Nightmare difficulty where running away can just get you killed easily. In Eternal, the way you get resources is different as armor and ammo come from attacking the enemies themselves instead of having to break up the fight and run away. Not only that, but you can dash and grapple yourself to fly around the arena which emulates the speed of the original much better than 2016.

In an age when most game devs have become lazy, id Software is back to show us DOOM remains a behemoth which has stood the test of time amongst the biggest games of this medium.

The game may look hard or even annoying for new players but don’t be discouraged to play it. Each challenge is designed very carefully to teach players something. Each battle is crafted with a look of thinking and every one of them have a unique point.

DOOM Eternal forces you to play well. Between the games which have a high skill ceiling like DMC or fighting games, DOOM Eternal is designed celeverly to push new players into the “fun zone” and actually DOOM Etartal is much easier than many games to begin the process of getting good. After a while of playing this game, although you know there is room for improvement but definitely you feel like a pro player and this feel is amazing.

Mute Crimson+

Mute Crimson+

Yes, this game is a retro action platformer, and those aren’t exactly rare these days. But this one is worth your time and your money - and come on, $5 USD? That is impulse buy territory, and if you do, you won’t regret it!

Why is it worth playing?

The gameplay is tough but fair. There are no “cheats” in the level design, and the controls are tight and responsive, so any mistakes you make are your own. You end the game with all the moves you had at the beginning; there are no power-ups or bonuses, and no random gameplay elements - it’s a game of pure skill and experience, both of which you’ll need in abundance to meet the game’s solid difficulty and complexity curve.

A haunted house story which could take place in Detroit, Centralia, Camden or Los Angeles. The content involving Centralia PA is all in the description, and the scares are standard fare with something happening and a loud sound. I wish more was done with the setting instead of just locking the player in a haunted cabin.

This game is as arbitrary as its title. Everything from the jump scares to the trigger points feels haphazardly placed with no cohesive elements, as if the developer just grabbed random horror assets and threw them into the game. The poor design ruins whatever immersion was present here. You move at a glacially slow pace, as if to compensate for how small the game’s environment is. Textures are poor with some so badly cropped that the outline of the .jpeg is still visible. Several bugs such as door animations failing and poor collision detection further mar the experience. There is a jump function in the game that serves no purpose and the ending is as lacking in creativity as everything else. There was a nice opportunity to create a claustrophobic experience with a minimalist setting but its ruined by bugs, incoherent events and a very short playtime that clocks in at around 15 minutes.
