This is one of those games that I have not expected to get my attention for a longer period of time. Then I noticed how wrong I was and how addictive the game is indeed.

Well, Pumped BMX+ is kind of a Tony Hawk’s game. In 2.5D. And on BMX. You can do a huge amount of different tricks and tons of combinations of them. You get points for doing the tricks and there are tasks to be done - every level has 10 of them in total.

The thing that many players can be discouraged of is a difficulty. Once you fall off the bike or hit something not by the bike’s tires, you have to start the level once more from the very beginning. Some levels are very hard to master, losing even slightly the character’s velocity causes an inability to jump over obstacles and in the end a necessity of repeating the levels once and once again.

MonoRaceVR

MonoRaceVR

MonoRaceVR is a monobike racing in the Virtual Reality with unique controls. Monobike is a bike with only one wheel :) I think you could meet people on the street on an electric Self-balancing unicycles, it looks very futuristic. The electric unicycles has a built-in gyroscope that keeps the balance, and for control you need to use the tilt of the body: leaned forward, the unicycles to balance the body goes forward, to brake, you need to stand up straight or even slightly lean back. To turn, you also need to bend in the right direction. We have transferred this control mechanism to the game. For our game, you do not need to stand or walk, you can play sitting down. Just lean forward and your monobike will start moving. Try it - it’s exciting.

You can just ride an electric unicycles in real life, but it is more difficult to arrange races in real life. We did it in VR! Starting from Single play. There will be a lot of tracks available and there will be several ways for passing on each of them. You can go along the main long way, and you can choose a more complex, but at the same time a short way. And there will also be backdoors, for the passage of which you will need to pass a mini-game.

In the career mode, you can train to pass the track for a while, complete tasks, study tracks and train in mini-games. For your perseverance you will receive achievements, and the best players will be able to find themselves in the leaderboards.

Knowing the track and being able to drive along it faster than anyone else is not all, you still need a powerful and fast bike. Upgrade your bike, make it the coolest and most unique: color it, add stickers and a logo. And if you are tired of the bike, sell it in the form of an NFT and start pumping a new one.

And of course, it’s much more interesting to compete not with stupid NPCs, but with other players. In multiplayer, you will have such an opportunity! Find your rivals and show that you are the best. And in regular tournaments, you can win valuable prizes: stickers, bike parts and even new cool bikes.

In the demo, we want to invite you to experience our unique controls and leave feedback in the comments how is it cool or poor.

So, this is that kind of game where it looks really cool, but you’re kinda on the fence about it… will it turn out to be really fun, or is it one of those that looks cool but ends up being a dud? Then you check the reviews and find out all kinds of stuff about the camera angle, etc. If you’re like me, you’ll sit on the fence about it for a while, wondering… will it be worth it? Or am I going to be disappointed?

Verdict: Totally worth it. I was actually shocked and ended up REALLY loving it. It’s one of those kind of games where you think, “Ok… got a few minutes to kill… I’ll run a couple trails, then get back to sweeping the floors.” Five or ten minutes later, you check the time and it has been an hour and a half.

Review by Gaming Masterpieces - The greatest games of all time on Steam.

Is this game a masterpiece? Nope, but this doesn’t prevent me having a ton of fun with it.

It is a bicycle downhill racing game. Learning it is as easy as the real thing, just sit on the bike, pedal, steer left/right, brake. Everyone can ride in seconds. Riding is easy, but the problem starts when you race. Downhill. One mistake and you crash over a rock, against a tree, down a canyon… or just along the path, your bike on your head and blood squirting everywhere. Hehe.

MotoGP™14

MotoGP™14

My bike sim experience includes SBK 2011, SBK Generations, Motogp 13, and now Motogp 14. All are Milestone titles. The SBK series was extremely well polished, great sims, included lots of features, and I enjoyed them thoroughly. The Motogp series, OTOH, has been a bit of a disappointment.

Motogp 13 doesn’t include SBK standard features such as telemetry data and ghost in time attack mode. Motogp 14 is more of the same. Also, in the SBK series, you had to be extremely careful not to go off track because you’d lose traction if you were on the throttle or brake in anything but an upright position. In Motogp 13, you can pin the throttle while fully leaned over off-track and you’d never have to worry about losing traction. Motogp 14 is more of the same.

The game is good some glitches like always in all games but its not like unplayable the control is weird at beggining cause is a sim game not a arcade at all if u expect get on the ducati and ride like trinity in Matrix u wont be able by a time, cause u can do it even faster than her but u must know how to. if u want a bike multiplayer ammm the multiplayer manager is like very bad i have been playing this from 13 and i dnt have a single friend since then i mean i have find another guys racing there hope they remember me as i do lol but theres no voice, there is no friend list in game, so u cant send invites at all u must add the guy or girl incredibly i have found at least 4 female gamer names in this game anyway well at least something not so bad in the multiplayer anyway but i let the best part for the end in order to play online u must register in a aditional server list and verify u are a human and stuff like that if u read this Milestone people do something about it u know ur product is good but u are not doing it easy and that my friends is necesary cause if i wanna race when i get home from the job last thing i wanna do is fight your game in order to enjoy a good race cause u already know u must invert some time in the game for start to have fun i have to invert time in gameplay and also learning ur weird online system Milestone keep on eye on that “#$% in other stuff something is very nice is a feature called beat the champions or something like that is very very fun cause is like an scenario in fifa u must beat an opponent or severeal in cetanly part of a race based on true moto gp races that ones are very fun and epic if u are like moto gp fan. The game 4 be played like a maniac in single player is very fun and addictive if u like bikes for real cause if u expect turn the bike like a pro in the first 4 hours of game go and find something else, the multiplayer must be adictive too and very competitive if it was more easy to get something from it its a good game but this series still need some work.

Ride 2

Ride 2

Ride 2 is currently the only half decent motorbike racing game on the market and it is good, but… it needs a LOT of work to bring it up to the standards of modern car racing games.

Note that some things may appear on both lists due to varing factors

Things I like about Ride 2

  • Physics - mostly these are good. Bikes mostly feel like they should and act as they should (I ride a real sportsbike)

  • Bike selection - mostly this is also good, there are many bikes to chose from and race

I’m a little confused about this one, but i finally made up my mind. I like this game, and I will continue to play it. However, and this is a big however. There is a few downside to this.

Let’s start on gameplay. Gameplay is rather okay, not great not bad either. Handling and turning feels very slow, especially on transitions like a chicane, it looks like the rider is very lazy while racing and just don’t want to move his butt fast enough. Physics felt good overall, I play on pro physics with little assist of anti-wheelie and traction control. The slow turning of the bike could be fixed with setting the suspension. But if you decide NOT to upgrade your suspension then you will have a hard time controlling your bike in and out of a corner. And also this game is all about precise controls, meaning if you use a keyboard you will have a hard time. A very very hard time. Oh also there is a game mode called “Pairs Race” in which you and a bot racing as a team. To win this you need points for you and your little bot friend, it’s all sound cool and all until you realize the bot is barely catching up with you and often times you only won 2nd even though you finish 1st. My preferable solution is to take down as many enemy AI on the front.

Steel Rats™

Steel Rats™

A unique physics-based platformer with a stellar 40s setting and atmosphere, let down by its lackluster combat and flat storytelling. Recommended if you enjoy the game’s visual appeal as much as I did.

the levels in Steel Rats are simply fun to drive around in. The buzzsaws have a really visceral sound and feel as you tear through pipes and jump from wall to wall. The game’s setpieces and stages are pretty varied in the challenges they offer. The bikes could be considered ‘floaty’ at first, but start to feel natural within the first hour of play. the puzzle elements progress well, the difficulty curve is just about right (save for one section on the Rooftops level), and the majority of the platforming gets a pass.

Fun game…if you have some patience with some quirks and mainly- the controls.

The story is actually a lot darker than I was expecting. At first I thought this was a balls out arcade game- drive fast, do tricks, destroy stuff…But I quickly realized its a little slower paced than that. You need to get a glimpse of whats ahead or youll die. You need to take out enemies and do tricks to keep a combo meter up, so youll earn more points to unlock the upgrades in each level etc. The more points you earn, you’ll unlock perks and costumes which can be bought with junk collected from destroyed enemies. Achievements are well thought out and fun to get. Im pretty sure one of the voice actors is the general’s voice from the game Renegade Ops, (excellent game btw). So whats not to like?

RiMS Racing

RiMS Racing

This game makes Ride4 look like Roblox without the fun.

I’ve only played through the different bikes on a trackday type session, and I’m already astonished. The sensation of being on a real, overwhelmingly fast machine is second to none. Not even the best car simulation matches the sensation of speed of Rims.

First of all, I assume that the people reading this review will want a serious simulation, and will be playing in one of the ‘cockpit’ cam modes. Its not an arcade racer, be warned.

Why is it so good? Well, for a start the bikes have a heft to them that makes them feel like real, weighty machines, not the lightweight nonsense of Ride4. The steering feels grippy and correct, but is genuinely terrifying when you drop it to a steep angle on a sharp turn. It was actually shocking when I pushed it over hard on a chicane - the change of your weight from side to side felt real to me, so much so that I was disorientated for a moment. No other bike game has achieved that sense of immersion. You can really get in the flow.

RiMS Racing is a game unlike any other motorcycle title we have been given in past few years. It has features that make it unique. Thats why it is hard to compare it to Milestone games, GP Bikes or TDR. One of the main focus was set to attention to bike details and mechanics, with possibility to manually mount and dismount parts, allowing to upgrade and customise your ride. Additionaly each part can be damaged or used up, what requires to buy new stuff and replace the old ones to keep the motorbike in top condition.

Trials® Rising

Trials® Rising

Long story short: This is an AWESOME Trials game, but one slightly marred by its flimsy online components and the occasional weird design decision.

THE POSITIVE

The tracks are fun, start off easy and get really difficult, and look gorgeous to boot. The gameplay is ~perfect, like it was in Evolution and Fusion. (Thank god they dropped Fusion’s FMX stuff, though.) There’s also a ton of content, and the difficulty level rises way more sensibly than before; even new players are unlikely to suddenly hit a snag and get their career and fun ruined too soon.

There are a lot of negative reviews left for this game. most of which i understand why. So many people have been complaining about the game being a ‘grind fest’ to unlock more tracks. now whilst there are a lot of tracks ive never had to play the same track over and over just to unlock stuff. I have however, occasionally had to grind a couple contracts to level up and get more tracks but i never felt like it was excessive. there are a lot of easy and medium tracks and it can feel a bit slow paced when you first start. but if you put the time in you’ll be rewarded with those classic extreme tracks we all love so much. if youre a new player then chances are youll never have to grind as youll be learning as you go. but for returning players you may feel its a little slow at first as youre grinding tracks that are far too easy for you. as for the stadium tracks. many many players seem to dislike them, however ive always found them rather enjoyable. short tracks that involve mostly accelerating and braking as opposed to lots of tricky jumps. youll mostly just be trying to hit the optimum line like any other tracks but its much shorter. i found them a fun switch up from the usual tracks. although some of them are a little annoying and require small amounts of luck to get the higher medals (im looking at you bali stadium tracks) the majority were quite enjoyable to play. HOWEVER a very big and extremely irritating mechanic, is that you cannot view anyones replay on the stadium tracks. why? no clue! but you cant view them. not even your own. you also cant race against them. this makes the leaderboards a record of achievements and not much else. this makes learning the optimum line more tricky but equally more rewarding. Now onto the skill games. oh boy.. how i dread the skill games. the majority of them are mostly fine but i have some bones to pick with a few. lets start with bomb bouncer. one of the first ones you unlock. the skill game requires you to throw your player into bombs and land into them, trying to fly as far across as you can. and its fun! when it actually works. see the player has a tendency to glitch into the ground like its a giant quicksand pit ready to absorb your player. sometimes you can land into a bomb directly yet your arm will still morph into the ground and thats it, game over. its extremely frustrating. the new loose screw now has safe zones rather than a metre that you get before the tire falls off. now if you touch the front wheel down and you arent in a safe zone, BOOM your front tire explodes and game over. im not sure how i feel about this one but i know im bad at it and its frustrating to play. now a general issue with the skill games is that about 70% of the time when you restart the skill game (pressing the back button) all the HUD overlay that tells you things like time, distance etc etc just vanish. my going theory is that these bars get shy when it comes to skill games and retreat to the depths of game code and take a lot of prodding to convince to show themselves again. This again isnt a massive issue but its mildly irritating. Now the real annoyance when it comes to skill games.. let me first explain, when you play any trials track or stadium track etc etc restarting before you finish always skipped that 3 second countdown it does before your first run of the track right? well im not sure if its new to rising or not but when you cross the finish line, if you press restart itll save ur time and progress hence any new pb will be locked and saved, yet it will still skip that 3 second countdown. its great! and its so much more enjoyable to play. however they for whatever reason decided not to include this feature for the skill games. and if you crash, explode or otherwise fail or fault the skill games, and THEN try to press restart, youll have to endure that 3 second countdown again. which sounds petty to complain about but when you grind them for over an hour 3 seconds adds up quickly. and for ones like hill climb or loose screw you obviously always want to try to save yourself when you nearly fail, causing this issue to become even more annoying.
