Long story short: This is an AWESOME Trials game, but one slightly marred by its flimsy online components and the occasional weird design decision.

THE POSITIVE

The tracks are fun, start off easy and get really difficult, and look gorgeous to boot. The gameplay is ~perfect, like it was in Evolution and Fusion. (Thank god they dropped Fusion’s FMX stuff, though.) There’s also a ton of content, and the difficulty level rises way more sensibly than before; even new players are unlikely to suddenly hit a snag and get their career and fun ruined too soon.

There are a lot of negative reviews left for this game. most of which i understand why. So many people have been complaining about the game being a ‘grind fest’ to unlock more tracks. now whilst there are a lot of tracks ive never had to play the same track over and over just to unlock stuff. I have however, occasionally had to grind a couple contracts to level up and get more tracks but i never felt like it was excessive. there are a lot of easy and medium tracks and it can feel a bit slow paced when you first start. but if you put the time in you’ll be rewarded with those classic extreme tracks we all love so much. if youre a new player then chances are youll never have to grind as youll be learning as you go. but for returning players you may feel its a little slow at first as youre grinding tracks that are far too easy for you. as for the stadium tracks. many many players seem to dislike them, however ive always found them rather enjoyable. short tracks that involve mostly accelerating and braking as opposed to lots of tricky jumps. youll mostly just be trying to hit the optimum line like any other tracks but its much shorter. i found them a fun switch up from the usual tracks. although some of them are a little annoying and require small amounts of luck to get the higher medals (im looking at you bali stadium tracks) the majority were quite enjoyable to play. HOWEVER a very big and extremely irritating mechanic, is that you cannot view anyones replay on the stadium tracks. why? no clue! but you cant view them. not even your own. you also cant race against them. this makes the leaderboards a record of achievements and not much else. this makes learning the optimum line more tricky but equally more rewarding. Now onto the skill games. oh boy.. how i dread the skill games. the majority of them are mostly fine but i have some bones to pick with a few. lets start with bomb bouncer. one of the first ones you unlock. the skill game requires you to throw your player into bombs and land into them, trying to fly as far across as you can. and its fun! when it actually works. see the player has a tendency to glitch into the ground like its a giant quicksand pit ready to absorb your player. sometimes you can land into a bomb directly yet your arm will still morph into the ground and thats it, game over. its extremely frustrating. the new loose screw now has safe zones rather than a metre that you get before the tire falls off. now if you touch the front wheel down and you arent in a safe zone, BOOM your front tire explodes and game over. im not sure how i feel about this one but i know im bad at it and its frustrating to play. now a general issue with the skill games is that about 70% of the time when you restart the skill game (pressing the back button) all the HUD overlay that tells you things like time, distance etc etc just vanish. my going theory is that these bars get shy when it comes to skill games and retreat to the depths of game code and take a lot of prodding to convince to show themselves again. This again isnt a massive issue but its mildly irritating. Now the real annoyance when it comes to skill games.. let me first explain, when you play any trials track or stadium track etc etc restarting before you finish always skipped that 3 second countdown it does before your first run of the track right? well im not sure if its new to rising or not but when you cross the finish line, if you press restart itll save ur time and progress hence any new pb will be locked and saved, yet it will still skip that 3 second countdown. its great! and its so much more enjoyable to play. however they for whatever reason decided not to include this feature for the skill games. and if you crash, explode or otherwise fail or fault the skill games, and THEN try to press restart, youll have to endure that 3 second countdown again. which sounds petty to complain about but when you grind them for over an hour 3 seconds adds up quickly. and for ones like hill climb or loose screw you obviously always want to try to save yourself when you nearly fail, causing this issue to become even more annoying.

This game is quite strange but enjoyable, I would like to master it soon to explore the whole worlds. It runs better while holding right click so it becomes its own challenge trying to hold right click while steering. either way for a dollar I am satisfied with my purchase, hope from more from flex etnerainment

Initial play-through of all major content in the game took about 4-5 hours, once I started to go for highscores on tracks, my playtime exceeded 40 hours lol

Though rather simple, it is a very polished game in all regards and pretty much nails everything it attempts to do.

+Solid Controls

+Difficult, but not unfair at any point time.

Overall, great game, if you like challenging platformer style games I would recommend this one for sure, especially if you enjoy leaderboard competition.

A really nice and addicting arcade game. It seems very simple at the start. You have a bike with two rotatable color coded wheels and you have to grind rails with the wheel of the corresponding color.

But, as the game progresses, new hazard are added to tracks to increase the challenge. Also, every few tracks you get new bikes that behave very differently from each other, so you have to adapt to multiple playstyles.

The main goal is to reach the end of the track by finding a perfect route. The arcade part comes in the score you get at the end of the track for flips, tricks and combos, and hunting for Diamond trophies can get really addicting. You also unlock 2 bonus missions per track after beating it, giving it some replay value.

So, this is that kind of game where it looks really cool, but you’re kinda on the fence about it… will it turn out to be really fun, or is it one of those that looks cool but ends up being a dud? Then you check the reviews and find out all kinds of stuff about the camera angle, etc. If you’re like me, you’ll sit on the fence about it for a while, wondering… will it be worth it? Or am I going to be disappointed?

Verdict: Totally worth it. I was actually shocked and ended up REALLY loving it. It’s one of those kind of games where you think, “Ok… got a few minutes to kill… I’ll run a couple trails, then get back to sweeping the floors.” Five or ten minutes later, you check the time and it has been an hour and a half.

Is this game a masterpiece? Nope, but this doesn’t prevent me having a ton of fun with it.

It is a bicycle downhill racing game. Learning it is as easy as the real thing, just sit on the bike, pedal, steer left/right, brake. Everyone can ride in seconds. Riding is easy, but the problem starts when you race. Downhill. One mistake and you crash over a rock, against a tree, down a canyon… or just along the path, your bike on your head and blood squirting everywhere. Hehe.

I’m not saying you will get something exactly from Tony Hawk and Trial Xtreme games because the game is super unique but for those who have been around the block with Tony Hawk and Trial Xtreme, brother you guys are going to feel the nostalgia kicking in, with a super unique flavor.

'Urban Trial Tricky™ Deluxe Edition' is an awesome game with lots of levels that can be repeated thanks to the many objectives that you have to achieve,

ever wanted to fly a moto while wearing a banana costume? It's all possible if you unlock enough points.

With these points you can unlock and use all sorts of different bikes, adjustements and this applies for the riders also, ect…

okay. lets start this review by saying this game has let many of us down in the past. but i choose not to dwell on the past. i have tossed all bias out of the window to the best of my ability. but first hand and try at the game. the character editor is pretty damn good. its simple. yet adds your own characteristic flair. the clothing/gear was a little lack luster but it is only the 3rd or 4th day post launch. the BMX customization is pretty impressive at first glance. felt like i could really customize my BMX to my liking and preference. the ability to change almost every little detail from bars to tire. [top to bottom] even the color adjustment of the nipples for the spokes. the little things matter. i only ask to see size adjustment in frame size and rim/tire size/width. maybe done with sliders or set increments like a real life bike set up would be. now that i feel i have touched upon the customization portions of the game lets talk about game play. after about 25-40 hours in the pre alpha this was a easy pick up for me. may not be as intuitive for others seeing as a good percent of the community hasn't played the pre alpha and have no past experiences with the game. so if you are new then take your time to learn the game. just cruise around and get a feel for the handling and physics as this will be one of the biggest complaints i feel people will have. but once you have taken the time to understand the physics then it really pays off. having the general understanding of the games inner workings or core gameplay if you will then its actually a fun game to mess around with and to set small goals or expectations during your play through. all i want to say is when you hit these goals or tricks you have been been trying so hard for, and when do it feels so good. its almost like a light bulb lights up when you figure out something new for the first time irl. something clicks in ur head and then boom you have it. the core game play or physics if you will only need time to improve and your feedback of areas they could improve. or maybe have ideas to help or a tip. the community can help make or break this game. moving away from core game play and physics there are only currently 6 tricks you can do atm. i will count bunny hops, manuals, and 180/360s as these are still tricks but more widely seen as basic skills to have rather being seen as tricks so to speak. so we have a current trick list of manuals, bunny hops, 180/360s, bar spin, tail whip, and table top, now this may not seam very appealing but in my opinion through my morning play through i feel good about the tricks we have currently. you can tons of tecky tricks with manuals and 180/360s and adding the 3 main stream tricks [barspin/tailwhip/table top] you can get some pretty cool and satisfying to land or get right or how you feel is right. at the end of the day there is improvements that need to come in our tricks. with more tricks and variations to the already implemented tricks. like barspin you could maybe do a bus driver. it is a variation small at that. but it would be good to see. now. replay editor. considering we never had one in its pre alpha days this is an awesome edition to the game. and allows us so much more expression. we can create edits or clips. even just show cases of spots. it runs smooth in the replay editor. the key frames feels right. overall thats a game changer. lets talk graphics. personally the graphics are amazing. but that does not mean it plays smooth. i have a 3700x and a 2080 S and im currently running the game at all low settings in 1440p getting around 70 to 90 fps. this game looks super beautiful. but it MUST be optimized to run better for lower and high specked PCs. fps isnt everything. but when some people in the community are struggling or may struggle to even run the game on all low at reasonable fps. i feel its a topic to address in this review. lets move on to the park editor. this is extremely useful for people who want or need to learn something specific. if you want to grind or do a certain trick you can make a skate park or a little spot to for your specific needs. and if you do or may struggle to run this game then the park editor is a really cool way to make your own spot how you want and run the game at more then reasonable fps. you have much less to render and keep running while playing bmx the game. so for the low specked user the park editor is a big plus. im ending this review mostly positive. would i recommend this game for 25 USD? it depends. if you are a bmx rider or enthusiast then i feel this could be a game for you. the average joe? i will still recommend this game. 2 things to keep in mind average joe, A.keep an open mind and try to learn the learning curve not bash on it. B. set a timer for 1 hour and 55 minutes on your phone or pc. and start playing the game. when the timer goes off close the game and make a personal call or choice. are you enjoying this game? would you like to play this again? would you like to progress? maybe even see where BarSpin studios goes from here with BMX the game. if you feel that you are liking or could like this game and feel its worth the money to you. then i say 100% go for it. if not then as long as you are under 2 hours of gameplay then you can get a full refund from steam. i hope you find this review helpful or just useful in general. what ever your choice. skate and BMX on bois.

waited 7 years for this game and it is still absolute s***!

can't ride up a curb, fall off bike every two seconds when you hit some stupid hump on the floor.

I have a VR gaming rig and can't even play the game without jitters on the lowest settings

then there's the trick list 9 tricks! oh wait no not even that because "riding" is listed as a trick and basically everything you can't do it listed.

For Early Access this game is very smooth. Overall this is a take on MTB the sport. If you're a fan of extreme sports games this will be right up your alley. With a few more updates for more tricks and polished animations and this will be a banger for sure!! I definitely recommend!

A unique physics-based platformer with a stellar 40s setting and atmosphere, let down by its lackluster combat and flat storytelling. Recommended if you enjoy the game's visual appeal as much as I did.



the levels in Steel Rats are simply fun to drive around in. The buzzsaws have a really visceral sound and feel as you tear through pipes and jump from wall to wall. The game's setpieces and stages are pretty varied in the challenges they offer. The bikes could be considered 'floaty' at first, but start to feel natural within the first hour of play. the puzzle elements progress well, the difficulty curve is just about right (save for one section on the Rooftops level), and the majority of the platforming gets a pass.

Fun game…if you have some patience with some quirks and mainly- the controls.



The story is actually a lot darker than I was expecting. At first I thought this was a balls out arcade game- drive fast, do tricks, destroy stuff...But I quickly realized its a little slower paced than that. You need to get a glimpse of whats ahead or youll die. You need to take out enemies and do tricks to keep a combo meter up, so youll earn more points to unlock the upgrades in each level etc. The more points you earn, you'll unlock perks and costumes which can be bought with junk collected from destroyed enemies. Achievements are well thought out and fun to get. Im pretty sure one of the voice actors is the general's voice from the game Renegade Ops, (excellent game btw). So whats not to like?

_Hero Express_ is a simple-to-learn, but difficult to master, arcade-style 2D side-scrolling driving survival game that features 11 different tracks with 11 different vehicles. I had personally played a mobile game with a similar feel a few years ago, and I am happy to have the same type of gameplay on PC with nicely worked pixel graphics and a difficulty curve that allows the most casual players to enjoy the game, while still presenting a challenge to those who consider themselves fairly good at arcade-style games.
