Aurora Hex - Pattern Puzzles
aurora hex is similar to the developer’s previous game, aurorabound deluxe . you’re trying to recreate colorful patterns in both, but in this game you’re bothering hexagons instead of squares. it is also somewhat similar to loop .

Visually pleasing minimalist puzzler.
Almost same genre as jigsaw puzzles, but feels different.
UI & Visuals seem a bit more refined than the first title, while retaining a similar feel to play. :)
(Currently up to late World 1, out of 20 worlds, at time of review.
Also has Daily puzzles to unlock & Infinity mode to unlock)

Euclidean Skies
The levels of the game are interesting and will be quite difficult later on. The game itself looks nice, but at first the controls are weird. I’ve lowered the sensitivity of my mouse almost as far as I can. After a bit of practice, I didn’t have any problems.

I almost didn’t recommend.
The UI is simply terrible. Rotations are all but intuitive. One hardly ever knows which blocks are going to move, in which direction, around which axis precisely… Visibility is also suboptimal. That often transforms puzzle solving into an exercise in randomness, occasionally with moments of frustration.
On the other hand, I don’t completely dislike the chaotic nature of the game. And the art has kept me curious for the next puzzle, so far.
As a result, I can’t usually play more than 1 puzzle or 2 in a session, but I keep coming back for 1 more every few weeks, when I’m in the mood.

Pattern
This isn’t really a game. It is more of a work of art and a story.
There is hardly any game play. There is a small stamina mechanic, but you are mostly just able to explore the environment. At least for me, this was more about slowing down and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
There aren’t that many areas either. There are only four. But they are all very, very lovely to wander about in.
The other part of this is the story. To summarize (minor spoiler warning?), The game developer talks about his experience creating games and art, and talking about what it means to him. It isn’t too long, but it is a very nice read.

Not bad, but full price is too expensive. Get it when discounted.
The game is procedurally generated, but the in the end you will always cycle the same 4 different environments + the room, more variation would be better or at least making the order in which the levels appear more random.
Another simple feature that I would like to see implemented is an auto-walking key, like what you have in Meadow: you press F and the character just walk by itself, freeing you of the need to keep pushing the W button, which is a bit annoying.

Proteus
Proteus provides a uniquely calming introspective meditative experience.
Whenever I’ve had a stressful day,
I can come to one of the islands, go to a scenic view, and watch the sun set and moon rise.
I can enjoy the bliss of spring, the energy of summer, the mystery of autumn, or the oblivion of winter.
Proteus is also very relaxing to listen to while you sleep,
whether paused, or allowed to change from day to night.
Many magical secrets await, strange creatures and encounters, pixelated and yet primal.

This is a lovely little walking simulator, and is more of an experience than it is a game.
First things first, the soundtrack is ace. Depending where you are you’ll get different music, such as standing near trees with falling leaves, atop a mountain, or near the old towers. The spring daytime music, and the autumn night music are my favorite ones by far.
The changing of the seasons is the focal point of proteus. Every season is portrayed so accurately and evokes a certain emotion. This will be different for everyone, or maybe you won’t feel anything at all. Spring time is one of the most relaxing seasons in the game, and one of the most colorful. It is beautiful to look at and the sound of the flowers falling from the trees never gets old. Summer is the most lively and exciting season. There are plenty of creatures to interact with, the weather is nice, and the whole atmosphere is just so energizing. Autumn is where things turn around as the environment becomes more sullen. All of the life and energy from summer is gone, and now what’s left is dying trees and very few creatures. Winter, the final season, is where you get a very weird mix of feelings. In a way it is eerie, and the soundtrack helps add to that. Walking along the dead trees in a snow bound land to the sound of a quiet monotonous track really makes you feel alone. To me it also evokes a feeling of nostalgia. It makes me remember how the dead land I’m in was just recently so full of life. It makes me think back to the flowers of spring and the creatures of the summer, and how I actually missed them. For the season I like the least it sure makes me feel the most.

My Koi
Very well done virtual fish pond. Excellently realistic graphics and fish movement/behaviour. Good ambient sounds.
Also, the developer is amazingly active and responsive to suggestions. I’ve already seen 2 updates within hours of the suggestion being posted on the forum!
I’ve tried writing a more comprehensive review with a couple of suggestions, but every time click ‘Post review’ the button disappears and nothing else happens. I hope this minimal review is ‘accepted’, and will take up the other points I wanted to make up the forum.

I’ve always wanted a koi pond, but I don’t have the space to put one since I have a small yard. My Koi piqued my interest for that very reason. This is a koi pond simulator, and a great one at that. If you’re expecting a riveting narrative, Michael Bay-esque explosions, and epic fights between good and evil, then My Koi is not the game you’re looking for. If you’re into a relaxing experience, then this is a great option.
Here’s the gist: you’re given three ponds and a limited number of koi to create and put into each pond. You’ll have the ability to feed your koi and watch them grow over time. This doesn’t mean there’s no challenge. One of your koi must hit a certain weight and length milestone in order to unlock more customization options for your koi. You’re also able to put more koi into each pond as you hit these milestones. It incentivizes you to care for your koi daily. You can at least feed the koi once a day, and they’ll be happy.

Drawkanoid
Absolutely love the balance of tension. It’s definitely exploring things left untouched in other re-interpretations of this classic, feels like the ultimate version of the brickbreaker genre.
omg, the hexagonal enemies are amazing for all the rebounding goodness, but the little orange rounds are complete nonsense.

Drawkanoid: Satisfyingly Chaotic
The premise of “Breakout but you draw your paddle” sounds interesting in theory and is actually really interesting in practice. The visuals do the game a huge service, especially when you manage to get an insane combo. It’s a nice game to come back to every so often and (unlike say “Super Hexagon") becomes more a game of endurance and in the moment decision making rather than one of reflex.
I’d recommend it! it’s like… the price of a lunch… and you get to keep it too. Definitely gonna play some more of it!

Jellyfish
This game is actually similar like Plankton. In this game, we play and “learn” about the life cycle of jellyfish.
Unlike Plankton which you can make it idle as screensaver after you finish the game, Jellyfish has cycle storyline and game keeps continue. But still, this game is really good for educational purpose to let child schoolers know about the cycle life of jellyfish.
Jellyfish is really huge improvement compared to Plankton; it is more colorful and better arts, it has background music, more 2D controls (unlike Plankton which is random movement), larger area game play (side scrolling), and different genre (
! it has battle scene). But still, this game needs a lot of improvements in the future to make it better, especially in UI.

I have been assured that while achievements are NOT currently available, they will be available soon.- (9/16/17)
During the late 1960s – early 1970s a trend started to develop of various forms of art being integrated with contemporary music. We started to see bands like The Velvet Underground, under sponsorship of the enigmatic artist, Andy Warhol, combining art, video and sound to great international success. A decade later we saw The Talking heads do something similar, made up entirely of art students presenting music within their artistic expression. In between, we had “art rockers” creating music artistically in the persons of Klaus Nomi, Roxy Music, and many more, blurring the lines between performance art and rock and roll.

Similars: Climb
This looks strange… How do you play?
Each round starts by removing an object by left clicking on it.
Choose any one, but remember what it looked like!
Now remove all objects that looks like the first one you chose.
Then select a new object type and continue until all of them are gone.
Each wrong object gives a time penalty.
But they hide behind each other and behind walls!
Hold down the left mouse button and drag to rotate the entire cloud of objects.
Can I take it easy?
No. Each level must be completed within the time limit, and your goal is to reach the top as quickly as possible.
Is it frustrating?
Yes. In a good way.
Am I going to die?
Not yet. You are immortal in this game, but punished for your mistakes.
What is required of me?
-
Total concentration under time pressure.
-
A well-developed short-term memory.
-
Attention to details and shapes.
-
No luck, just skill.
What does the game offer?
-
Simple and clear help page that explains the simple rules.
-
Statistics and ranking lists for all levels of climbing.
-
Achievements. Some are easy, others hard enough to make you proud.
-
Top ranking list for the world’s fastest climber.
-
Frustration. In a good way.
Quiet as a Stone
The game is well done and though super simple and even limited in the actual gameplay (can’t save maps you’ve developed, no!real goal other than just clearing the landscape searching for magical stones). But despite the games limitations, it’s easy gameplay and simplicity are actually addicting. Tried it for the first time today and when I’d stopped it was 3 hours later! LOL Only three downfalls I see are that you can’t save maps, can’t create a map from scratch, and there needs to be a gamma control as the game is predominently dark and its difficult to see the landscape clearly. Hopefully the developer will add some updates. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing experience that only costs pennies.

Love the concept and the calm vibes, its very beautiful and relaxing! I do wish there were more variation in landscapes though, I imagine it gets same’y quite fast. Different climates and plants would have been fun! It is also much too dark, with no way to adjust the lighting up (as far as I can tell). Sometimes I cant see whats going on at all, its literally just pitch black, lol.
There are also some minor issues, like street lamps cant be picked up again once you place them.
