Dune Sea

Dune Sea

A relaxing side scrolling game set in a visually attractive world, with a soundtrack that promotes a calm and casual play style.

Controls feel more natural using a controller as opposed to a keyboard and are indeed solid. The only issue I had during play was the camera placement, which is a small negative and doesn’t take away from what this game is about.

Dune Sea is a wholesome, zen little side-scrolling game where players take on the role of a Goose trying not to fucking die, well at the same time bringing back some life to a desolate desert.

The soundtrack is helps me get in the gliding mood, the controls are floaty but not too unruly and it’s got a quite beautiful low-poly world. If you’re looking for a game to kill an evening just zoning out and flying this is your game.

Excellent game. can’t stop playing it

Needs a few tweaks is all

1. I have multiple monitors, would love approach on one screen, ground on another and airport on another . not all crammed into a single screen

2. Why can’t we put approaching aircraft into holding pattern if we don’t want them to land ? Standard stuff.

3. Freeplay shouldn’t end after too many errors .

4. Freeplay should also allow us to choose the intensity of the timetable, you simply cant do Tokyo in the middle of the day on your own , I’m sure several ATC staff handle those area’s in the real world

Short Version:

8/10, looking forward to expansion packs

Long Version:

This might be the best ATC game on steam (that is not primarily focused on radar usage).

In Japan, this dev has released numerous games not only in this series, but also previous instalments of this series such as I am an Air Traffic Controller 1 through 3 (ATC 1-3) and other series such as Pilot Story. It is also worth noting that this dev had released multiple Japanese Airport add-ons for FSX, showing that they are quite experienced in terms of aviation in Japan and 3D-modelling.

Secrets of Raetikon

Released in 2014, Secrets of Raetikon is a 2D adventure puzzle game created by Austrian developer Broken Rules. Set in an uncharted area of the Alpine mountain range, players assume the role of a native bird who uncovers the remains of an ancient civilisation.

Secrets of Raetikon uses an open world environment with a heavy emphasis on exploration, item collection and puzzle solving. The primary objective is to retrieve seven mysterious shard fragments and return them to a central location. Each piece is protected by a combination of hostile wildlife, hazardous surroundings and environmental based puzzles.

Story Review

Plummeting down at sonic speeds towards the ground and saving myself from becoming a splattering heap of blood, my first moments of this new and strange world were quite horrifying. It was strange that despite my near death experience I couldn’t help but feel that these lands felt promising in being a tranquil place to live the rest of my life. Unsure of what was to become of me…

The world looked incredibly strange, full of triangle shaped forms, from the trees, caves and sculptures down to the animals themselves. Unsure of my surroundings I had to familiarize myself with what would be useful. Finding red triangles I noticed made me healthier while the blue triangles when gathered enough saved my life. Funny how these items were of similar shape and resemblance to my environment. Forming together a sort of harmony.

Nice hardcore platformer.

Very hard, i would NOT recommend this game to people bad at platformers, who never played one before, or looking for some relaxing gameplay.

For anyone seeking a challenge, this is the game for you.

The floaty jump requires some getting used to. At first i didn’t like it too much but now i think it’s fine. Makes for a unique twist i guess.

Every “section” has a new mechanic and after a couple “tutorial” rooms to learn you’re thrown into a very hard challenge right away.

Real player with 10.3 hrs in game

In short, veteran players will likely greatly enjoy the challenges of the platforming in Lumione.

Edit for clarity: This game is nothing like Ori or Hollow Knight besides the aesthetic. It is not a metroidvania. It is completely linear. The challenges are completely platforming-based. The gameplay is much more akin to Celeste, but the level design is very unique and more difficult than most of Celeste, C-Sides included.

In-depth review below:

Lumione is a very challenging puzzle-focused platforming game. You play as Glimmer, a Fairy of the deep sea. Quickly you are introduced to your main mechanic: A short flight, recovering whenever you touch ground or a bubble. The controls are somewhat floaty, and momentum felt very weird to me at first, but as the difficulty ramped up I started finding that the floaty controls and momentum allowed for very interesting design and challenges in each screen.

Do not buy this game unless you have an insanely fast internet connection and immense patience

Out of the 180.6 hours I currently have on this game, around 176 of those hours have been spent installing MSFS. To make matters worse, you can’t install the game using Steam- you have to enter an in-game installer that downloads incredibly slowly, if it even downloads at all.

When I first bought this game at release, my installer was bugged and I couldn’t actually complete the download (I always got an error message at random times throughout the download) . I had contacted both Steam and Microsoft support to fix that issue but they both didn’t help at all. A couple months after I’d given up I decided to try and install it again after I saw there was an update and for the first time it actually completed the download. This took several days and effectively commandeered my computer as you can’t close the MSFS launcher without losing all your download progress, and you can’t play other games as the download is very resource intensive. Additionally, despite having internet that’s usually about 20-50mbps down, the download speed for MSFS is more often than not around 3mbps, if not lower.

I do not recommend this game for two reasons. First, and main reason, is that this game is completely server dependent. Without good quality broadband internet connection, you will not be able to even open the game after a few days. Second, Microsoft and Asobo force what seem like work-in-progress and poorly tested upates/content onto their customers. The sim looks amazing under ideal circumstances, but my overall experience to date has been that of a beta release product. It just comes across as corporate greed, trying to save money by not hiring enough testers, instead getting their customers to do all the testing and bug feedback for them. All the while charging for the game as if it was a finished product. I have wasted countless hours trying to fix whatever bugs they’ve introduced each update cycle, just to have new bugs introduced the next time around, and its beyond frustrating at this point. I do not support this system of development and deployment. All I want is for Microsoft/Asobo to make all updates and additional content optional, even if opting out of updates would disable all online functionality of the game.

LOST ORBIT: Terminal Velocity

LOST ORBIT: Terminal Velocity

As a score chasing game, it has its merits. As a story/character heavy game, it fails completely. It feels like Pixelnauts was unsure of what kind of game to make, an arcade time-attack game, or a personal journey through space with an A.I. companion, and this dichotomy constantly gets in the way of the player’s experience. I would have recommended if not for Terminal Velocity. I hated my time with Terminal Velocity and would recommend not even bothering with it if you do pick the game up.

Amazing game !

I already played the original Lost Orbit a while ago and it’s such a pleasure to come back to this title !

Speeding through asteroids and … dying !

The game is not always easy but it’s fun and … luckily, we do have a bunch of save points to avoid completely restarting a hellish area.

But more than that, Lost Orbit is a poetic story with really cool music ! (where’s the soundtrack DLC?)

It tells the story of a lost astronaut who find a friend in a little probe after losing his space ship.

Game of Drones

Game of Drones

**What awaits you:[/]

Do you want to play soccer with drones against your buddies in multiplayer? Do you want to take off from the football pitch and take to the skies with your drone? …to flank the low-gravity ball into the opponent’s goal with daring kicks?

Football and drones collide in GAME OF DRONES. It is a minimalist mini multiplayer game with a reduced, futuristic look.

Who are the developers?

We are a small Bavarian startup located in Munich and have developed the game with dedication. The scope of the game is very small and it is the first game we are launching. GoD is not a triple-A game with lots of content. Please take this into account when making your purchase decision.

We want to provide you with a small multiplayer game for LANs or online. Through the drones the soccer game gets another dimension - kicking from the highest heights. Due to special physics the ball moves with less gravity and can be shot into the opponent’s goal. GoD has put us into addictive states while playing.

If something doesn’t work with the game, please write us directly. We will answer as fast as possible and help you if there is a fire. You can also write us if you had a great time with Game of Drones. Send us recordings of your best hits.

Game of Drones offers you:

  • Drone soccer mini multiplayer

  • Easy control

  • 1x drone, 1x football arena

  • Low-Gravity Ball and good physics of the drone

  • Futuristic design with optical effects

  • Fun in Multiplayer for in between with highscores

Game of Drones does NOT include:

  • Armed drones

  • Real soccer players

  • Cars (who does that ;)

  • Loot boxes

  • Career mode

  • Tons of content (it is a mini-game, but with maxi-fun)

  • Microtransactions

Gameplay:

Game of Drones is a very small, simple multiplayer game.

You can choose in the menu between 1vs1 online multiplayer and 2vs2 online multiplayer. After choosing you can start the game and you will be beamed to the drone soccer arena. Now you see your drone in pursuit perspective and the match starts against your opponent. In the middle is the big, low-gravity ball, which you have to kick, head, bump, dig, ram or volley as cleverly as possible into the opponent’s goal (either red or blue).

After 3 minutes the game is over and the player with the most goals wins the match. After that you will land back in the lobby and can start a new game.

Inspiration for Game of Drones:

  • Rocket League

  • Fifa / PES

  • TRON

  • Harry Potter’s Quidditch

  • Blobby Volley

Well guys and girls…

This game is very simple, but has potential to become a great game.

Graphics are very good, but has some crashes when you’re playing like change window and real crash when you click on the credits to gain your achievement.

The music is very touching. 9/10

The SFX in the game are almost hidden, you must be patient to percept then, like the cry of the leaves when you drop down on then, and the florest souns, like birds and even the grass movement.

If you wanna check out a diferent concept of game, this is for you.

For your experience, please play through the game before reading the following review.

A game about the way of life.

The game is about being a fly and flying upwards.

In the beginning, you start out on the ground, with the dirt, grass, leaves surrounding you. You are right in front of the camera, with the details on your body very clear. You inquisitively explore your surronding, excited about its possibilities. Soon, you discover that up is the only way.

As you rise, what surronds you becomes less interesting, and you become fixated in your only goal – rise up. The camera gradually zooms out.
