Capsa

So 320 hours of gameplay, met many super nice folks, visited all areas multiple times (Map is huge). Super stoked i gave this game a shot upon release!

Developers are really friendly and work really hard, updates have been frequent, sometimes daily depending on what theyre working on. Lots of exciting things to come in the future of Capsa, but need to give them time. Just 2 developers and the game hasn’t been out long at all. Lots has changed from the short amount of time it has been released.

So far I have spent like 32 hours in Capsa and not one minute was boring.

Even if the community is still small it is growing, but you can easily spend hours exploring by yourself.

I didn’t even visit all of the islands yet, but found a marvellous place for my home…just imagine a house directly on a beach with your own mooring to the right there is a romantic looking lighthouse and I can listen to my favorite music while dancing with a friend or simply gazing at the sunset!

When I feel like going somewhere else I can choose between a boat, a horse or a buggy to go wherever I please in this huge open world.

Don’t let the simplicity fool you about this game. It’s actually a really fun game where you control all the cars in a time loop so you have to drive your car’s path to it’s destination smartly so the cars don’t collide. Great concept and soundtrack! This game is very enjoyable and worth you time.

Truck Crash

Truck Crash

Not really worth money. My biggest problem with this game is the fuel management.

From what I’ve played, it looks and controls fine. You drive up a road and try to dodge cars and collect fuel so you don’t run out. If you get hit by a car, it knocks you to the side and you lose control for a moment, which might end the game for you. It’s kinda neat.

However, the fuel is way too scarce, and it seems to depend on luck whether or not you can beat the track (from seeing the achievements, I’m gonna assume that there actually is an end). The problem probably isn’t the rarity of the fuel, but how little it gives you back. On average, you get back just enough fuel to reach the other fuel tank.

Inertial Drift: Sunset Prologue

Inertial Drift: Sunset Prologue

I really enjoyed this.

At first it seems like you can’t steer enough, and drifting is sudden, but as you’ll find out it’s not at all bad design. It’s just something to get used for about the first 3 laps. Go try it again, steer where you can, brake some more, and you’ll find it’ll go way smoother. It’s a great feeling to nail those turns once you get it.

Then you’re given - The Dragon - and you’re back to square one again. Flying off the road and feeling this thing is impossible to drive. But once again, you’ll just have to give it another go to get this monster under control. And you will, and it feels amazing.

Real player with 12.1 hrs in game

Initially I was skeptical about the drifting mechanics as I felt I had too much control over the car for it to be fun drifter but after unlocking the “HPE Dragon” I started to understand the vision and came to appreciate it the game. In addition to the enjoyable gameplay. The sound design is great, hitting different surfaces produces appropriate sound effects and the soft OST suits the game without being derivative of similar games in the genre. Last of all the art style has a good use of colors and is pleasing to look with the cars designs being unique and memorable and race tracks having unique landmarks and dressing which comes together to creating a lasting visual appeal.

MagiKart: Retro Kart Racing

MagiKart: Retro Kart Racing

MagiKart: Retro Kart Racing is a retro inspired racing game that heavily borrows from some of the best (and worst) late 90s kart racers.

Featuring stylized low poly models, flat-shaded textures, and classic arcade physics, this game will transport you back to a simpler era; an era where gamer supremacy is settled in front of the tube. Race through a variety of environments against ruthless computer opponents, and prove your driving skills once and for all against the infamous rubber-banding AI. If solo gaming isn’t your thing, why not break a few friendships with our multiplayer modes? Race or battle against up to three of your soon-to-be enemies, and enjoy some banging tunes by musical artist Saury and Luan Maziero!

Rigorous Races

  • Your racing adventure starts on the mysterious Red Rock Island. They say that a long wooden bridge can be found there, but the question of who built it remains unsolved!

  • Head over to the mysterious monster forest, where Pecos and Slimes live in harmony. Don’t be surprised if you encounter them during your race! Just be sure to avoid hitting those loveable creatures.

  • Mountainous peaks, slippery ice banks, and a trek inside a whale’s belly are just about all you need to know about this perilous race!

  • Things get real spooky in this gothic castle of epic proportions! Race through spiraling towers and opulent grand ballrooms to become victorious!

Collection of Characters

  • The Knight is a noble racer, devoted to only the highest quality of racing. Rely on his loyal traits to get you through the race!

  • The Wizard does not let anyone get in her way. Beware of her magical prowess!

  • The Peco is a loyal companion, but in this case, he’s out to get you so he can be number one!

  • The Slime is the cutest little creature you will ever see until it’s given a go-kart and a goal to win. Better get out of its way!

Still not satisfied? Maybe you should try calling a plumber.

Vaporwave Drift

Vaporwave Drift

As an old school gamer I CAN’T RECOMMEND this game because of its controls mostly.

It would be better to exclude present (unnecessary) acceleration and use only Turbo button as acceleration and maintaining speed too, ex. UP arrow or W letter. And space button as drift.(simpler)

The best solution is to use ONLY arrow keys or WASD as controls. When you want to accelerate press up arrow or W automatically igniting turbo effect = acceleration and maintain speed, when you steer over maybe 15-20 degrees (without UP or W) you automatically drift, and if you want backwards you use down button or S button.

Really smooth once you get the hang of drifting. Personally I’ve never been the best at driving sims but I find it quite enjoyable.

Inertial Drift

Inertial Drift

Inertial Drift is easily one of the best racing games I’ve ever played. If you like racers, this game might just become your new favorite.I’ve been looking for a game to replace OutRun 2. I love that game, and there are a lot of reasons Inertial Drift are able to rival that game- easily. Inertial Drift rocks. The gameplay is amazing. The two-stick controls deliver everything it promises to and more- there’s hundreds of hours of potential here. Each car handles uniquely, and the story mode used as a medium to unlock these works. It’s not the next Final Fantasy VI, but the story is good enough to satisfy the need as a gameplay facet. I even liked it. The music and camera work within the game create the perfect feeling of dynamics, and you’ll sit down glued to the game hours at a time. The game is even more pretty when you play, than when you watch it. Like, as soon as you hold this game in your hands and play, you’ll be chuckling with joy. Its so fun.Nothing’s perfect though, and there are some minor issues with the game. I’m writing this review on the first patch, close to release. There’s a couple glitches to be sorted out, but patches are coming through well. The music is awesome, but there aren’t a ton of options. You’ll never get tired of it looping soothingly in the BG, but more options could be sweet. Also, cars don’t collide (at least not in the normal story mode) so passing an opponent isn’t a tactical epic. But you get to focus on making the best lap times on the best lines- so if that’s your cup of tea, its either there or its not.Otherwise? Play this game. The demo will hook you. Every moment is historic racing awesomeness. See you on the road.

Now, it should be said at first, that this game isnt a traditional racing game. its a time trialling game, along the lines of dirt rally or trackmania, where its less about wheel to wheel racing and more about perfecting your racing line. if thats not what you want, you might want to think a little harder about getting this.for those who DO enjoy time trialling though, i highly suggest you pick this up. the control scheme alone could easily carry this game, allowing a level of precision i dont think ive ever seen in another driving game. coupled with great track design, lots of very individual cars, simplistic but great looking graphics, the sense of speed and the games way of encouraging you to just get better and better and better by always showing you the next player on the leaderboards to beat makes this one of my favorite racing games yet.my only complaints really are a… “lack” of tracks - theres ten in total, all available in reverse as well. while this is enough for now, it might get a little stale later on. additional tracks, maybe in a dlc, would be very welcome - the rather dim lighting, which can make tracks unpredictable if you play them for the first time, although thats not a problem the more experience you get, and… while not really a complaint, it certainly is a bit annoying that there is no eurobeat in this game. the game’s soundtrack isnt bad, quite good actually, but… its a shame the game doesnt have it….oh, and the “story” is quite bad. the events themselves are fine, but the writing is awful. then again, its a racing game, so who cares about the story.tldrtime trials, no racing heregreat controlsgreat vehicle varietypretty graphicsgreat sense of speedvery rewardingonly minor complaints…get this game, it be good.

Little Brother Jim

Little Brother Jim

Little Brother Jim is an interesting game that is a bit of a departure from Mr. Bodur’s previous titles. The story begins with a taxi/parking simulator that is colorful, fun, and challenging at times. I had little previous experience with driving games so I crashed into cones, left and right, as I built my skills up. By the end, I was speeding through turns and jumping over obstacles!

In between the parking levels, there is a beautiful story about family, love, and the brevity of life. The scenery is gorgeous and I enjoyed reading the letters left by Jim.

Overall good game depending on price paid - it’s worth noting that I received this for free via a competition and though I would pay for this game I wouldn’t pay more than £3. This is due to the fact that it is a very short game and there is a statement in the credits which undermines the whole perception of the story

! as you are lead to believe it is a true story but it is in fact fiction which really ruined it for me

At first, I felt like I was reading someones diary or invading someones personal life in some way. However, after playing for a short while I found the story intriguing and continued to complete the game. The driving game is easy and basic but surprisingly fun if your looking for a chilled play. The walking sim is beautiful and accompanied by a peaceful, pretty soundtrack.
