Tarzan VR™ Issue #1 - THE GREAT APE

Tarzan VR™ Issue #1 - THE GREAT APE

I grew up reading graphic novels and Sunday newspaper comics. Tarzan happened to be one of those syndicated comics and that’s how I discovered the legendary character and a whole cast of supporting characters.

Stonepunk Studios has taken that hand-drawn comic aesthetic and drops VR players into the jungle as Tarzan himself. Well, technically, his hands.

The first issue, “The Great Ape” sets up a big adventure where you have to swing, swim, fight and explore in an effort to save the jungle from “bad men”.

I’m using i7 7700K (4.5 Ghz), GTX 1080 8GB and 16GB 3200 MHz - and both Valve Index and Rift CV1. Although many textures are very low-res, there are also many nice/great textures, but none even remotely close to Alyx. Still the game looks great - and I like being able to just explore.

The world feels alive and breathing. Did go into the water and it suddenly got deep - and in my mind I started hearing music from Jaws, and I was very quick to get out of the water, lol.

Performance and image quality are great with the Index - 4xMSAA, render scale 1.0 and all other settings maxed make the game look close to the best it can. Motion smoothing is my friend, not my enemy, and I’ll probably need a 3080 to use render scale 1.5 - but MSAA seems most important to reduce jaggies.

The game is incredibly janky but it has a lot of charm.

The writing is translated and needs a lot of work.

The gameplay is VERY simple but rewarding when you actually nail the rhythm.

At the price, it is pretty good.

Мне понравилась игра. Она может спасти вас например, когда нету интернета, или все друзья оффлайн. В ней можно расслабиться. Я подобные игры не очень люблю, но эта - исключение.

Рекомендую скачать.

Drunk-Fu: Wasted Masters

Drunk-Fu: Wasted Masters

When I first heared about this game Ithought: “Oh boy, this is going to be something I’m really not going to like.” But man, was I wrong!

First of all this is the first game in its genre I play. Being a drunk ragdoll kung-fu fighter is something I never was before. I played this game with my Xbox controller connected to my computer and I have to say that once you got familiar with the possible movements of your goon it’s really easy to handle him. The same goes for the different type of controls: jumping, power slam, upper cut, dodging, etc. Once you know exactly how those controls work you’re able to make extraordinary moves!

This is a fun game and I like the style but I don’t think I have played a live player yet, in three hours play.

Playing online and at a differen’t time: If you don’t get any takers then I think they just set you up with a ai player… The penny only dropped because they all had booze related names like ‘tippler’ or ‘Casanova’… reminds me of ‘WORMS’ names.

Fisti-Fluffs

Fisti-Fluffs

I saw the trailer for this game about a year ago and waited patiently as the release date passed, worried that it had been canceled. Imagine my surprise when out of nowhere the game officially released on my birthday. As a cat lover I knew this was fate that I had to buy it, lol.

Fistifluffs is a fun, casual, family-friendly brawler that’s something of a cross between Gang Beasts and Smash Bros. You take control of one of a number of cats, which you can customize with various outfits, items, colors and more, and take on three other cats in a few different battle modes to determine who is “best cat”. The game is meant to be fun, cute and wacky as cats go sailing thirty feet across the room with every jump and flop around “tussling” with combinations of scratches and headbutts. The graphics are perfect for a game of this nature, setting the cartoonish tone, and the music is great (and can be selected between “cute” and “metal” depending on what kind of feel you want for your battles). Audio in general is great as there are lots of fun cat noises, hisses, growls, and the occasional purr or nomnom as your kitty chomps down a scrumptious snack of fish to regain some energy.

Beat The Moles

Beat The Moles

The gameplay of Beat The Moles is a complexity unknown to other games. You may think you only have to click each mole until they reach their untimely demise at the end of your hammer. However, this is not the case

The moles still spawn after the screen goes black. Meaning you can obtain a higher score than normally achieved by mortal hands.

The moles have no pattern. They appear like the beautiful sunrise, elegant and graceful. You then strike them down with your weapon as fast as you can. The moles do not die, they simply return to whence they came.

Drunken Fight Simulator, it sounds fun, but it’s not. All you can do is moving around with WASD keys and attacking with left click. Characters randomly fall down a lot, that’s it.

Apparently, this game has been already abandoned, because no update and no announcement since the release, it’s been over 170 days.

If you want to play a physics based ragdoll fighting game, I recommend Gang Beasts.

lol wtf is thiss

Real player with 1.3 hrs in game

Planetary Defence is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a “fake game”. The “developer”, INFINITE BRIDGE, took the Planetary Defence game pack Unity Store tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, Daniel Buckley, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They’re attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else’s work.

Street Striker

Street Striker

I recommend this game, ONLY because it may be good in the future if they will add:

  • different enemies (for now, all you can beat are those guys with green mohawk hairstyle)

  • at least 50 more levels, with different difficulties (all the levels, 5 in total, are very easily to pass) and more long gameplay per level

  • BOSS FIGHT, because this kind of game MUST have at least one of these fights

  • UPGRADES between levels, like more life, armor, strength/power, temporary weapons with the possibility to switch to them while you play
