Dying Light: Bad Blood
This game is a huge dissapointment both from the standpoint of a fan of Dying Light and a fan of Battle Royale game modes.
It largely misses the mark due to the following reasons:
-
The combat is modelled after the PVE combat in Dying Light and feels like you should have hit but didnt, or the other guy should not have hit you but they did. What worked so well vs zombies in the PVE game comes off as very disconnected combat in this game.
-
The BR mode itself does not play out with proper building tension and tightening of the arena. Instead there’s just a hard cut off (night time) where the helicopter just leaves without you.

I never write reviews, but everyone’s shitting on this game for the wrong reasons so I feel like I should. This is the first “battle royale” game I’ve ever enjoyed (besides the culling). Battle royale games are boring. You spend 90% of your time running in a straight line, or staring at the floor looking for items. Not this one. Literally every second of this game, from spawn to finish, keeps you engaged. The PvE content really sets it apart; for once, in a game of this genre, pve+melee combat is actually enjoyable, not a clunky mess (though pvp melee could use some work; I dislike the idea that it’s essentially just RPS). Dying light’s signature parkour adds a ton of spice to the mix; people complain about other’s running away, but 9/10 I have been able to catch runners. Just read where they’re trying to go and beat them to it or throw something at them. People also complain about the 12 person max; this game would not work with more people, and more people wouldn’t make it more fun. Stop trying to make it something it isn’t. If it makes you feel better to call this a 1-life FFA/deathmatch with objectives, then think about it that way. But disliking a game for not trying to be something it isn’t is completely unwarranted, and just childish. Also, it’s EA yet I haven’t had a single bug or any lag, I don’t even know why it’s not considered the full release. Overall, this game is fast-paced + engaging, completely unique, and just plain FUN, as games should be.

NecroLand : Undead Corps
Game looks and feels like a cheap port of a mobile game. First impression ist not good as i encountered muddy character models, a weird choice of font type, unremappable keybinds (Keyboard only controls), mobilegame-like upgrade system for characters.
The Idea behind the game looked fun and I am looking forward to fresh concepts, but you guys need to put in a lot of work if you charge people money for such a low quality release.
Cant say much about the multiplayer part as no one was online to play.

I personally have never played such a good game. Best Game on Steam right now. Can’t stop playing it. Maybe the reason why people want this game to be a success. It has everything you need for the day. Just wow.

You Only Livez Twice
Written for 1561’s Thoughts - Honest reviews, for busy people.
You Only Livez Twice is a rough top-down action game where you either play as a human or a pack of zombies, and your goal is to ensure your faction is the last one alive. 4/10

Infestation: Battle Royale
Due to the negative reviews, I loaded up not expecting much. When I got into the game I saw a decent amount of effort put into the models, UI, menus, and parkour (A few high up places that can be reached with a little jumping that are just enough to get to with a full jump)
So here’s the thing: I checked every region in Battle Royale and literally no one was queued in to play. I had to load in to each Battle Royale server to check, too. Time consuming and annoying af.
What really surprised me is that it actually has another game mode that everyone plays instead and I recommend everyone else to do the same.

Infestation Battle Royale is a SOLID game with all the of the classic feelings from Infestation series that you love. Now enjoyable as BR game! But this time, you can enjoy it on a 64-bit engine, and this really makes the game waaaay smoother than you have ever experienced Infestation before! – Infestation BR has been executed really well if you ask me, the game never let’s you rest, you jump directly into action, and even while waiting for the game to start, you get have good action in the “warm up arena”. For a free game, Infestation BR offers a lot! Progression, leaderboards, game currency, skins and personal stats. The game offers tons of personal development & tactical improvements, each time you play, you play a little better the next time!

Murder Miners
This game is purely amazing. For the price, you get a lot of action pack fun that can last you days and with friends it’s even more. The destructibility and building with blocks is something that makes every map and lobby unique and you can change settings to what block you can break, change the score, player settings and more that just feels like something that you wouldn’t see in most games. Murder Miners has a couple of game modes, but the customization of each lobby makes it up for it. All this game needs is more content with updates. One of the game modes that I played a lot was infection and in this game one person starts off as a zombie who needs to infect the rest of the uninfected players and you can customize your lobby to make it where AI zombies can join in the fight (their AI is pretty dumb), tank zombies, and able to remove tentacle for zombies. The other game modes are self explanitory like Muder the Flag, Murder Match, Team Murder Match, and Yolo mode which is basically elimination.

Murder miners from first glace looks like a minecraft wanna be game that has guns. well, that’s what i thought it was when i saw screenshots of the game. after buying the game, i realized it does try to mix Halo and Minecraft together as a game. it executes it well but not in the way you think.
the whole “Minecraft” look just means that it has blocks. theres no crafting but you can mine and kill (hence the name murder miners). with blocks, you can make your own map to have people battle each other out. i always loved the idea of massive mutiplayer battles on your own map that you’ve created. can’t make a map? check out what people have made and play on it. and if you want, you can start a plain map and have people build their defences and battle each other. the building aspect of this game is great for a creative mind

CRSED: F.O.A.D.
This game pains me with how it looks these days. I played for a while before the renaming happened, when it was still called Cuisine Royale with my husband, sister, and a few friends and I really liked it, we had a ton of fun. The game wasn’t perfect by any stretch, but much more playable than it is now.
Honestly, the update does have a few great things going for it. The Siberia Map is absolutely gorgeous and amazing to play in and the new weapons are fun. but still…I can’t recommend this game anymore and I find myself wanting to play it less and less.
