Solo Royale

Its an awesome game. Andrew has some really innovative ideas that I don’t think the video game industry is ready for yet. For example, in the sun temple expansion pack, there is a sun temple. Its wild, the map is so good my computer almost can’t run it. It’s near unplayable, but I think this is a commentary on the reality of war and the perpetual imperialism of the modern day US military industrial complex. These thoughts were formed only on the sun temple game mode, I couldn’t even begin to articulate the experience that the mini battle royale and battle royale gamemodes are. The gulag also transcendes human language.

I love the weapons effects and lighting, but the ship and aiming mechanics are very wonky. The larger ships from cruiser to behemoth (mothership) are nearly as manoeuvrable as fighters, both you and the enemies. I don’t mind my ship having awesome agility, but enemy capital ships moving around like fighters is very weird to watch. Also the aiming in this game is very hard to control. The aiming sensitivity is way to high and you can’t change it in the settings. The slightest movement of the mouse throws your aim way off. It wouldn’t be as bad if there was aim assist or a lock-on feature, but there is only lock-on for missiles and it’s a very narrow lock-on window.

It’s a very rare thing that I leave a negative review or request a refund, but on this occasion I’m afraid it’s got to be done.

The idea of the game is a good one; random battles with different classes of spaceships with different loadouts and stats, one of which is supposedly a Battle Royale mode.

The reality? Every single vessel from a fighter up to the biggest cap ship dances around like…a fighter, while being ridiculously hard to hit and having the health of a rhino’s backside. The ‘Battle Royale’ mode is just a big scrap with 40 ships where you’re locked to one of three ‘Decimator’ classes.

Just finished the first run, and got a well-deserved bromance ending. The production value of this FMV game is a lot higher than previous Wales Interactive games. We have certainly came a long way from their earlier works like Late Shift.

This game is exactly what I wanted from a battle royale movie - bloody, campy, morally grey characters, and full of plot twists. They must have a bigger budget this time because the camera work feel really professional, and the scenes are beautifully shot.

My first run took about 90 minutes to complete, and the final ending screen shows I saw about 60 scenes out of 250, so I am guessing there’s probably another two or three routes I can play through.

The game of survival in some lost island-wooded area begins, and you are still its living protagonist. If we look for the closest comparisons, then not even the film “The Running Man” comes to mind, but the film “The Hunt” (2020), the mood of these two projects is quite similar. Although «Bloodshore» is less subtle in handling irony, preferring to use black humor in a more straightforward manner, overall it conveys very faithfully the analysis of social problems centered on a small piece of territory. FMV genre allows you to fully immerse the player in the atmosphere of survival, giving him the opportunity to fully choose his own path. And in terms of choosing a path, the game takes a big step forward compared to some of the latest projects of the publisher, here you actually feel the ramification of many plot routes, and the endings feel very different. Yes, it seemed to me that some of the script opportunities were not fully used (this concerns the breaking storylines of Otts and Gavin; the much larger use of a potential collision with “death row prisoners”; the greater influence of “cowardly” behavior on various events). The characters very vividly recreate the atmosphere of the B-movie, where deliberate grotesqueness is intertwined with swanky fun. The main character is generally very charming, playing for him is very exciting; the actor coped with his task cool. The plot twists are varied, several times I caught myself thinking that I am really surprised at some moments. As for the special effects and gunshots… Let’s just say, write off their nondescriptness to the fact that in this the game is trying to be similar to B-movies. I was glad that this time there is no need to wait for any patches to skip previously viewed scenes, the TAB key helps to significantly speed up replay.

I just played the new update (Patch 1.2) and it is a vast improvment from the game I bought last month.

Historically, I’ve really been bad at playing FPS games. I just want to get good enough to enjoy playing, get a few kills and not die 3 seconds after spawning.

This game is exactly what I wanted… a no-pressure, single-player environment where I can learn to aim better, manage my ammo, and know when to run and when to fight.

So far, this game has helped me with my aim and I’m way less panicy than I was when I started. Been streaming/saving on Twitch so I can track my progress. While I’m not ready for PuBG or others yet, I feel like I’m somewhat improving.

Game runs well. Lead time on snipers etc good. But no footsteps from AI, battle royale games rely heavily on sound and getting 4 or 5 bots suddenly shooting you from behind is great for your twitch aim, but in a real BR game I would be dead. Could not get my mouse sensitivity low enough. But yes I can see how this game would help in BR games for spotting other players and sniping.

AI Battle Royale Generator

Very good game, I always enjoy playing it, I really like the work of the developer and the gameplay that this battle Royale offers! the lifespan of the game was rather long but it is even more so today with the addition (as in Mario maker or happy Whells) of a “creator” mode where the possibilities are numerous! In short, I highly recommend this game to streamers but also to players looking for a little battle Royale, especially at the price where it is offered 😉! PS: sorry for my rather bad English 😅

Fractal Fury

Fractal Fury

I really think this game has potential. The idea is actually great. This could be a really good game, if the developer really took the time to flesh it out. The dismemberment can be used in a tactical way in a bigger fight with a lot of people. Right now i only wish we had an option to change teams in-game, or at least let the joining player choose team, because it’s a huge problem, that people leave a match, when they are outnumbered and owned at the same time, and the match just ends there. That’s why there’re technically no matches to be found. But if you create a match, people will come eventually. Just try it. It’s fun, and it’s free.

Fractal Fury is a newly released Third-Person Shooter, that has one standout feature, which separates it from the competition. This is the ability to dismember enemy players.

If you would remove this feature from the game, than Fractal Fury would certainly be a disappointing game. The visuals are very basic. Environments are nearly nonexistent and all maps are just varieties of differently coloured walls and ramps. Most of the walls, which can be used as cover, are actually destructible and the Hardcore/Battle Royale map at least has multiple floor levels, what gives it more variety than the dull other ones. Every of the four game modes has only one map for them and with the exception of Hardcore, they are all really small and boring.

Bring back the original map and circle. The snow map is entirely different gameplay from a classic BR. I very much enjoyed every moment in this game with the old map and then you spring this new style of gameplay for the last testing and publish it with out the old map included, WHY!?!?!?!? Lose the helicopter, it is just a farm fest or turns into who looted more heals to outheal the other in the end, no matter if you show the other persons location or not. Dumb concept with no real player feedback when you published the final product. I recommend this game ONLY if they plan on releasing the old map sooner than 6 months from now.

Real player with 354.8 hrs in game

They really want you to use the DX12 client even though it’s in beta and crashes a lot. You loose all of your stats for that round for the weekly challenges when it crashes. It’s frustrating. The amount of dialogs this game has is insane. Load the game, 3-4 dialogs. End a match, 2-4 dialogs. You ranked up? 2 more dialogs. Event going on? You guessed it, even more dialogs. It didn’t use to be this way and I have no idea what game designer thought this was a good UI choice.

Another note about the online community of this game. The amount of toxicity of the players in squad play is about the worst I’ve seen in a game. It’s to the point where I generally just play with voice chat off which impairs squad cooperation. So it’s fine to play with friends but absolutely terrible to play with strangers. I generally don’t even play this game anymore unless a friend wants to it’s just….not fun anymore.
