Fatal Twelve

Fatal Twelve

This game kicked my heart in the d***. Every. Single. Time.

With that said, let’s break it down.

Visuals:

There’s a good amount of visuals here, given the number of characters in the game. Some stunning, some sad, but all are good.

Voice Acting:

They have a good pool of talent, I thought until they started crying. I’m not entirely convinced that most of the VAs know how to cry, but that’s the only bad thing I have to say about them. Well, that and pain. They’re not good at that either. Apart from that, they’re believable, and play their roles extremely well.

FATAL TWELVE is a Visual Novel lasting around 20 hours. You basically play as Shishimai Rinka, who gets its fate of being killed altered and lands in a battle between 12 people called “Divine Selection”, in which only 1 will ultimately survive.

tl;dr: A nice round up VN, where you can make a couple of choices leading to 7 different endings in total. The character depth is what this game is about.

Story:

The deadly survival game is explained right at the beginning. Though not all of its mechanics are very clear then, but you get to know them throughout the game. Each of the 12 participants of Divine Selection comes with 3 cards: Name - Cause of Death - Regret. Since only 3 at random are given to each participant and their causes of death undone, they have to learn these 3 cards from others to be able to eliminate them for good. You learn about this game lasting merely 12 weeks, so you always know exactly at which point you are through the entirety of the game. The mindset of our protagonist greatly depends of its relation to others, which will be the main point of making choices. You realise very early where the main story arcs will lead you, so the outcomes aren´t very surprising, though a narration style, beautiful artworks and character depths make up for it. The actual outcome might be known, but the details make this VN very thrilling nonetheless.

Fans of Touhou, Sonic Riders and/or Mario Kart Double Dash (or 8 if you think about it another way) rejoice: you have a game that, while small and a tad light on content, tries to accommodate these diverse qualities into one package. You have your Touhous. You have your anti-gravity track-design. And you have a tag-team mechanic - albeit one that doesn’t seem quite intuitive and might’ve done better with more explanations about some of the finer mechanics that underpin it. The way items are attained and gotten also is a little unorthodox and takes getting used to if you are used to fixed item box placement on tracks like I was.

Before I knew it, I racked up over 400 hours in this game. If that’s not the sign of a good game, I don’t know what is, so I figure it’s high time I give it thumbs up.

Starting off, it’s a simple but solid fun racer, 2 story mode campaigns to play through with a 3rd currently in development. If you want to go deeper, though, the online races and time attack modes coupled with this game’s surprising level of technical depth are what have really kept me with it for hundreds of hours.

The basics are you put two 2hus together (or the same one twice) and one surfs through the tracks on the other with the option to spend a small amount of spell meter to switch to the other at any time for a boost of speed and a change in stats. Spell meter can also be spent to roll for an item. The items you get are usually typical kart racer type things, but with full meter and enough time passed, you can pull a character specific Last Word spell with powerful race changing effects. Strategizing on how to use meter and when to go for and use a LW adds a nice level of depth to races and keeps things feeling fresh as you try and race against different characters.

Holy sht this game is fun. During a clash, You breath, you lose. Each weapon and each hero have counters either trough positioning/witty timings/picking or utilizing other weapons.

Do not believe to what people say that X is broken/OP. Everything have a workaround specially if your’e skilled on wits and proper positioning. You panic, you lose. Do not panic. I cant count how many times i managed to turn the tables on a fight and it felt so satisfying.

Pros:

1. Unlimited combo possibilities to the point you get your own combo personality

great game.

i would prefer if everyone would deal a bit less damage to make the fights last longer…

Espacially a few weapons. But the new duo mode feels way better than trios. You can fight 2 people but 3 was just to hard in my opinion.

I played the game for over 200h now and i don’t understand why people say the queue times are long. A few seconds up to a few minutes if it’s early in the morning or late at night.

And why are people complaining about asian players in the reviews? It’s literary almost the same as playing agains people from EU or NA.

Population: One is the online shooter that VR desperately needed. Even if you aren’t a fan of battle royales, this game can still be for you.

POPULATION: ONE is a VR Battle Royale, but compared to the other VR games, you can climb and glide off anything. This unique vertical combat system allows for limitless ways to outplay your opponents and to navigate around the map. Another feature that can be used is building but don’t let this scare you away. Building can be used to create cover to get behind and can also be used to fly off of to make rotations. People will eventually get good at using the builds, but it is a lot harder than…other games.

I was a playtester for this game from ~July to now. I probably have about 60-70 hours of playtime total.

To address the elephant in the room, this game for sure got some graphical downgrades from what we saw in 2018-2019 to accommodate crossplay with the Quest / PSVR. The devs have said a few times they have plans on improving things on PC, but I can only speak to what is currently available. The biggest issue for me is the sniping being… serviceable at best, I hope the devs are able to find a better solution for hardware that can handle it. If you’ve seen the sniping in Phantom: Covert Ops (another quest title…), it’s very similar. However, this game needs a playerbase to survive and if downgraded graphics is the answer, so be it.

It wasn’t too long ago when I was contemplating ending it all by jumping off a bridge that was 15 minutes away. I had lost everything. My wife divorced me for being a deadbeat, ended up taking custody of 2 of our 3 children. 2 months later, CPS comes in and takes away my only child left anyways. I was not allowed to even see my kids for allegedly being “unstable.” Not only that, but Andy (my dog) had recently passed away before I was blindsided by the divorce. I was in a dark place, and I thought that nothing could turn me away from that bridge.

盘丝洞惊魂

盘丝洞惊魂

“Thriller of Pansi cave” is a horror adventure game based on journey to the West: Pansi cave and combined with modern urban legends. Different from the traditional horror game, the horror degree of the game can vary from person to person, absolutely suitable for young and old. The two heroines of the game are pure and hot. You will play games with them in the mysterious underground world, make your choices and experience different endings.

Story background:

I met her at a college competition. I was born poor and looked ordinary. She was of noble birth, white and beautiful. All the boys in the game were excited about it, and I was no exception. I thought there would be no intersection between us, but I didn’t expect an accidental contact. We talked happily. After we got home, we still chatted online. We usually didn’t know what to say after a few words with the girl. I talked with her until two or three o’clock in the middle of the night every night. On weekends, my sister directly asked me to go to her house in the evening. Although a little timid, I still summoned up the courage to rush to her house

[/] game features

Multiple outcomes

The game contains multiple endings. You don’t need to make a deliberate choice. You just need to follow your heart to play the game, and you can get your own ending.

Exquisite role

We use the latest character rendering and motion capture technology to create the most realistic real-time rendered characters. At present, we are still testing and optimizing, and the effect you see now is still not the final effect.

Exquisite and huge scene

Different from the narrow space of the traditional decryption game, we have created a huge world in the game. In addition to our daily apartments, luxury villas. We also provide a huge underground world, including intricate caves and underground palaces, which contains a large number of scenes of ancient legends.

Appropriate difficulty design

We have conducted a lot of testing and Optimization for different game difficulties, so that hard core players can experience challenging decryption and battle, and players who like plot and tour can feel at ease to experience plot and tour the mysterious underground world.

Salty for young and old

If you are afraid to play horror games, we have prepared some props that will not affect the game content but can give you courage. You can choose to take him with you so that you can play the game happily.

So far I am disappointed in this game. From the store page this game looked promising but after purchase you discover there isn’t much interesting and very few options that can be found to play the game. I feel like the $9.99 i spent on this game is way to much for the limitation this game has.

TOUHOU SKY ARENA MATSURI CLIMAX

Very fun game. There is plenty of characters you can play. Voice acting and graphic is good too.

Though if you are mainly interested in playing online then you should think twice before buying this game. Vast majority of players are Asian and if you are, for example, a European you will probably have to put up with lags unless you host a match. Also, sadly there aren’t that many players. Depending on the time you play you may not even be able to find an opponent for quite a long. What I didn’t liked about ranked games is that it seems that if you abandon the match there is no penalty. I happened to play with someone who quited 2-3 times in a row. I know that it’s annoying playing with lags, it can be hard to win unless you are a way better than your opponent or just got a bit lucky, but if there’s no penalty at all for abandoning the matches you just cannot drop in ranking even if you keep quitting them all the time.

There was nothing wrong with the game play or presentation. The game is very entertaining to play and enough effort was placed into the audio/visual quality to pass as a good game. Everything about the game was fine all the way to the point when I started doing the single player mode, then I came into technical problems.

I am unable to complete arcade mode without the game crashing during the load of a stage. A couple of times it happened on stage 2, then another time on stage 5.

These crashes do also occur in Sky Adventure mode, but since it’s stage select and no progress is lost, I didn’t mind it as much.
