Basketball Pro Management 2015
After recently catching up on basketball since the 90s when the Chicago Bulls were still on top, I wanted to try out a basketball sim. This is still in the trialling phase and was far from complete (no search recall, could not complete trades) but I still had fun. The simulation side meant I didn’t have to worry about managing play-by-play or the finance unless I wanted to. My experience was with the NBA, and the best part was the draft system, which I think is such fun. I also like how you can decide how many minutes each player should play. So the game is as light or detailed as you want it to be.

Very good game, the strategy involved will satisfy most players and can be challenging even for the best players! Beginners won’t be lost as the game already includes plays but also allows you to create your own plays. The loading times are very short on my computer I can’t complain. I’m also very pleased with the database and the number of playable leagues included in the game. The only complain I have is the lack of official licences both in Europe and NBA. However this can be easily fixed by using a database created by the fans which includes the real names as well as the official logos and photos for most clubs and players! I would recomend this game to whoever likes management games and especially to basketball fans.

International Basketball Manager
One really good management game hats off to the developers for the attempt to give us a realistic expierience…
Cons
~Iit seems a little too easy and i would really enjoy if it was a tad harder
~the starting line-up is somewhat time consuming in micromanaging every aspect of your team(it really lacks a drag and drop system like other managing games)
~there are some minor bugs but a lot of them have already been dealt with.I expect the game by the time they leave Early Access to be near-Perfect

the developers in this game have to be much better, the name of every player wherever he is must have a link to see his profile, you can’t see free agents. When you click on all players, you don’t get all players. Some basic things they didn’t do. The game is not finished. I don’t understand why Steam can afford to release this unfinished game, it should be put to the test and be free. I think this game has good potential, you need good developers and it will pay off for you. I hope it will be soon

Draft Day Sports: College Basketball 2020
I work from home so the majority of my gaming are simulation games, where I specialize in sports simulation games. I always knew Wolverine Studio had potential, but in 2020 they are finally breakthrough through. If you missed March Madness this year this is incredibly immersive and has you really caring about your team, your players and how far up the prestige ladder you can go. There is a degree of realism, and the March Madness coverage while lacking (a graphical tree), had a nice surprise coverage angle that I was stunned to see. Only Eastside Hockey Manager has offered me a better playing experience and re-playability.

Since I have played this game for awhile Im gonna make a new review
Pros: Tournaments, Schedule, Stats and Awards, Recruiting, Creation of leagues and Coaches
I really like how you can make a game mode of conferences by how large the prestige in. illegal recruiting is awesome when you can’t get your player as well. Offense can actually counter defenses
Cons: Practice Plan, I don’t really understand what practice is for. Big players commiting to Grand Canyon, thats kinda annoying. I wish sometimes you can call real plays instead of what offense your running but that would be hard so I understand. If you have a bad pc loading screens might take awhile

Draft Day Sports: College Basketball 2021
I’ve played every college recruiting type game I can get my hands on. The games from Draft Day while not perfect are the best out there. If like recruiting games, you’ll like this game. If you found yourself only doing recruiting for EA Sports college basketball games and simming all the games then you’ll like this game.

I have played around with earlier versions of this game (2018 was the last) and always like the game in general but never really played it to it’s full potential. I decided to upgrade to the 2021 version and give it another go and although the game is fundamentally the same game, it has undergone some nice improvements through the years.
This time, I am thoroughly enjoying this game and have gone through multiple seasons, finally landing my dream job, and doing my best to bring the team from the bottom to the top.

Draft Day Sports: Pro Basketball 2021
Great game, very deep, good rosters, probably a better trade system than 2k, in terms of realism, only thing I don’t like that much is players start asking for SO MUCH MONEY, causing teams to be broke and difficult to trade with, but if you just increase the salary cap you should be good, and 2k has the issue too, so I’m used to it at this point

This is the third rendition of this review. It is now recommended. Here is why:
I’m a fanatical Football Manager player, since the nineties I’ve religiously bought every year’s version. And I heard rumours from across the Atlantic of a similar and excellent game covering college basketball, Draft Day Sports… So when Pro Basketball 2021 came out on Steam and showed up in my recommendations I was delighted.
This updated review is after over 80 hours of gameplay. The game has it’s moments and if you can work through the inconsistencies and limitations it is worth it. The depth in the game is incredible, it is also realistic in the way that the dynamics of the NBA ebb and flow. Gameplay is opaque, and it took me some time to realise that was on purpose. If you play the game on the basis of having as many ‘stars’ (as in the 5 star scale players are ranked on) rather than seeing if players fit your coach’s style and your team’s culture you are not going to find success. You have to dive into the menus to compare and contrast, to understand the way your team is winning or losing, you have to understand this to make sure you make the right trade and draft decisions.

Pro Basketball Manager 2019
Has the features expected in a professional sports management simulation. Enjoyable to play. The only negative is that for some reason I need to save and restart after every basketball game, otherwise the next game fails to work correctly (you end up with scores of 15 to 8 or something equally ridiculous for a 4 quarter game).

It’s better than nothing, it’s like an old OOTP. Sim runs a little slower because it uses unity, but its not slow if you have a good computer. The only really annoying thing is the ratings are pretty off and the database editor doesnt work (Donovan Mitchell is 0.5 star Ovr and 1.5 star Pot, when D wade is 4 stars ovr? (out of 5)

World Basketball Manager 2
I would have recommended the game but the following are missing:
-
trade/loan players
-
more budget control (especially for nba)
Game is playable only for one-two seasons. After that all good players (especiall nba players with high fee) become FA fore ever, because no team can sign them up. I had to use the data editor and assign players back to teams in order not to have 100 very good players sitting back for one-two seasons.
I will update my review if an upcoming update fixes the above.

I have been playing WBM series since 2008. Classic WBM series + Tycoon game. My expectation was high enough for new game however unfortunately WBM2 is basically same initial game since 2008. Almost no improvement but only new interface which is nicer and more useful. Guys!, this game still has no trade or loan options :) or proper draft system in NBA. you cant even scout potential tallented players. Moreover still struggling with sufficient numbers of bugs. Honestly the WBM2 is not worth to pay 10Euros of bill :) .

Draft Day Sports: Pro Basketball 2019
I’m a longtime fan of sports management games dating back to Baseball Mogul 2003 and the old Extreme Warfare Revenge wrestling sims.
This is a great game & a great franchise.
The NBA mod available on the studio’s forum is really wonderful, bringing full NBA replay going back to 1977.
The game rarely crashes and runs pretty well.
This game is ideal for examining some of those questions like, “What would the Miami Heat look like if LeBron stayed,” or, “What if LeBron went back to Cleveland but they didn’t trade Andrew Wiggens for Kevin Love??”

Not very clear and concise of what you have to do and where you have to go to do the things it’s asked. Every time I figure something out I run into another problem. Also when I quit the game it still says it’s running and then I have to restart my computer. It’s kind of like the Joan of Arc of games, great concept, poorly executed.

Draft Day Sports: Pro Basketball 2018
This game is a lot of fun but it crashes way to much. I had a similar issue with draft day sports college basketball 14 and its unbelievable that after 5 years they still haven’t been able to fix the crashes. I’ll give this a good rating if they ever fix the crashes.

If you’re into sports sims, this is a very good one. Lots of stats and quite addictive.
