Fast Break

Fast Break

Three-on-three basketball with full court action!

No one else gives you the choices or control like Fast Break from Accolade™.

This is computer basketball with double-clutch, mid-air, off-the-glass animation. Basketball action so lifelike you can almost feel the elbows and floor burns.

Just check out these stats:

  • Three-on-three team play (guard, center & forward)

  • More plays – go to the playbook for 15 offensive and 5 defensive pro-style plays

  • More shots – choose from three-point bombs to rim-ripping slams

  • More control – design your own plays with the exclusive “Playmaker” feature

  • Just like watching a live game with a network television court perspective

  • One or two player capability

Take ‘em to the hoop and jam. Pull up for a fade-away jumper. Play a tight man-to-man or double team the guard. Fast Break gives you the flexibility to do it all.

So lace up those hi-tops. It’s time to lead the Fast Break.

This game is SO good, for being in early access this game is already incredible for several reasons

First and foremost I am not a “sports gamer” this is the only sports game I have ever played extenisvly and if all sports game were as good as this one I would thing EA was a good developer anyways here are the reasons

First off the pixel art in this game truly is 2nd to none, you can tell it was done very meticulously and painstakingly long and it really shows the work of the people who created it

This game is amazing!!!

Many features that I was pleasantly surprised about. All the mechanics are beautiful. Literally the version of NBA Jam I wanted as a kid.

Some of the features I was happy about were Season Mode having season-long player statistics (always love to see that), the story mode and unlockable teams, (I hope that more challenges come out as the game gets updated), and I especially loved the customization of the quarter length, courts, and even the sound fx/music settings. To add on to that, the difficulty settings were very nice as well. Loved the variety of skill levels.

Dunk Lords

Dunk Lords

While it’s early in this game’s release window, I can tell you this is one of the most fun and balanced basketball games I’ve ever played. Been playing in NBA JAM tournaments since 8 years of age, play NBA Showtime every once in awhile, all NBA Streets, JAM, hangtime, Urban Street basketball and many other arcade titles. This game captures a nostalgic element despite being new. 6 years in the making and you can tell that this game has Andy’s and Beeson’s heart all in it. The gameplay, the depth of a fighting game, random elements and the fast pace. Beautiful. THE ONLY KNOCK???? No online play yet, but support the game and that’ll come into fruition. With Playgrounds and now this (Also Basketball Classics) Arcade hoops is back.

In a time where Basketball is not on TV, Dunk Lords not only fills the gap, but provide quick, quirky gameplay that makes you wish NBA was just 2v2 and filled with Buff Strawberries.

Multiple games can be played in a short time. Couch Co-op is an absolute blast. Each Dunk Lord has a uniqueness and charm to them. The game is solid and would make an amazing Arcade cabinet.

With almost 10 hours in, I have played over 30 games and about half of the story mode. I can’t wait for a group of 4 to come play with. I fully support this game if you want that NBA Jam feel, but you really want to just be a bear who smacks people with fish.

New Retro Arcade: Neon

New Retro Arcade: Neon

After installing the Arcade Manager add-on, this game became a lot more fun to play, because the add-on makes it very easy to customize the games, tapes, and posters in the arcade. Switching from Vive controllers to steam controller also made games a lot more playable for me (you can navigate using the VR controllers and play games using a steam or xbox controller). There are a handful of games that make the investment in VR absolutely worth it. New Retro Arcade: Neon is absolutely one of them.

New Retro Arcade: Neon is my new Life.

Ok - HUGE caveat:

1. New Retro Arcade: Neon does NOT come with arcade machines loaded with games to play. You must modify them yourself with emulators and roms which must be acquired on your own.

2. This game is VERY buggy right now, it almost should have been an early access game.

3. This game is very much intended to be modified to suit your needs, but requires you to have some decent problem solving and research skills to figure out how to work all of the features to make it shine. It is not for the feint of heart .. or ‘mind’ in this case.
