Olympic Basketball
This is a really nice basketball game for people who aren’t very good at sports games. I also own NBA 2K Playgrounds, and this game is much easier to play.

Very straight to the point, easy, and fun to play! could use a little work in AI intelligence, it get’s buggy. For example: ball literally went round the rim for a minute or two before falling out . Funny to see but not fun to play in reality. I enjoyed it.

NBA 2K Playgrounds 2
Let me start with this, I went through some of the reviews for this game, and there were plenty of where I was like: “What are you talking about?”. So here is my take…
First of all, let’s clear up the ridiculous ‘‘Pay to Win’’ and Micro-transaction discussion. There is no reason to buy ‘‘Golden Bucks’’ with your hard-earned money since you can get a good amount of them by doing the daily tasks. With those coins, you can buy cosmetics for your unlocked players and for your own made courts. I guess what makes people say this game another 2k micro-transaction crap, is that other than cosmetics, with those coins you can buy the “Unlock all players'' pack. Though I don’t understand that argument since I think it takes away the excitement of opening packs, which are really not that hard to earn if you are playing season mode. You can get quite often even 2 legends in one pack and it seems like duplicates are not that common either. My advice, play season mode, harder difficulty = bigger rewards, and remember to check daily tasks.

Its been awhile since I posted this review and with picking it back up of late I figured I should update it. Its still a grind to get anywhere BUT it has been improved for the better because the challenges no longer have to be done in a certain mode and just be done in any game. This is a vast improvement. A big thumbs up for that! (The only exception is the gold level 3 point contest. It has to be done in the three point contest mode… but they have to have something to get you to play the mode.)

Dunk Lords
While it’s early in this game’s release window, I can tell you this is one of the most fun and balanced basketball games I’ve ever played. Been playing in NBA JAM tournaments since 8 years of age, play NBA Showtime every once in awhile, all NBA Streets, JAM, hangtime, Urban Street basketball and many other arcade titles. This game captures a nostalgic element despite being new. 6 years in the making and you can tell that this game has Andy’s and Beeson’s heart all in it. The gameplay, the depth of a fighting game, random elements and the fast pace. Beautiful. THE ONLY KNOCK???? No online play yet, but support the game and that’ll come into fruition. With Playgrounds and now this (Also Basketball Classics) Arcade hoops is back.

In a time where Basketball is not on TV, Dunk Lords not only fills the gap, but provide quick, quirky gameplay that makes you wish NBA was just 2v2 and filled with Buff Strawberries.
Multiple games can be played in a short time. Couch Co-op is an absolute blast. Each Dunk Lord has a uniqueness and charm to them. The game is solid and would make an amazing Arcade cabinet.
With almost 10 hours in, I have played over 30 games and about half of the story mode. I can’t wait for a group of 4 to come play with. I fully support this game if you want that NBA Jam feel, but you really want to just be a bear who smacks people with fish.

In da Hoop!
There are not so many VR games where you can ‘throw basketball’,
let alone that they also feel realistic.
Although the virtual fingers of the virtual hands gave me a first impression as if they were hands with the DNA of ‘Octodad’,
everything seemed to go very smoothly and pleasantly.
Early Access Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQ7UCJL0UuY
In Da Hoop! is not a game where you play a round of basketball, it is just throwing balls in da hoop! A VR arcade.
You will also not have to hold down a button on your controller to hold or release the ball, you have to literally hold, aim and throw the ball with the help of the virtual hands and fingers.

PBA Basketball Slam: Arcade Edition
I’ve been playing PBA Basketball for a few hours now and I’m still hoping to unlock the campaign element to this game. I also don’t know much about PBA, but I love that it’s like NBA Jam. I wish there were more scenes to go to, more players and other options other than just Quick Match. It got old really fast. Hopefully there will be an update to this and I can give it a better review. However, I do recommend it. But I would recommend it more if I could do more things.

Same shit as the mobile version. But they did literally nothing to the game. Balance doesn’t make sense either.

Street Hoop
Best basketball game ever made.
This game is aggressively 90s and I love it.
The days of arcade cabinets, Reebok pumps and Nike cross trainers , Michael Jordan , Dorito’s and soda with plenty quaters to play this game.

Amazing game! I used to play this on the arcade shops & cafes since I was 10 years old.
Just a heads up, if you press Esc, go to the settings and set the 1 player control to, for example “Space”.
That way you will be able to play as only 1 player instead of 2 players. I made the mistake to have both on the same key.
