Division of Labour
In Division of Labour, the player takes on the role of The Manager in a developing nation called Auriverde during a world ecological collapse.
The player manages the workforce and machinery of a factory, fulfilling contracts and earning profits for the Overseer Corp. Buying resources, manufacturing goods, managing the workers and facing moral and ethical decisions are the core of the game.
Compassion
The player has the option to make their workers more comfortable to improve efficiency, or pay them more to increase worker happiness. Events may occur where the player can do a favour for a worker, give time off for a holiday or generally try to help them.
Exploitation
However, Overseer Corp always demands larger and larger profits, and so balancing these becomes the core of the game. To make greater and greater profits, more sacrifices will need to be made and corners will need to be cut.
Storytelling
Along the way, the player will be presented with moral and ethical decisions regarding their works and the world at large. Whether it’s simply a worker who needs time of for medical reasons or an earthquake on the other side of the world sending migrants flocking to Auriverde for work and security, there’s always decisions to make.

KeeperRL
For the developer of KeeperRL thanks for making a great game.
My impressions from playing the game about 1 ~ 2 years ago versus today (I haven’t played for 1-2 years waiting for the game to be finished but recently played it again).
Rating 1~2 years ago: 9/10
Sandbox dungeon keeper freaking awesome and satisfying exploration and village pillaging.
Powerful and fun spells that allow you to mess with the NPC’s and dominate the map.
Left feeling satisfied when you close the game because you felt like a powerful warlock/wizard dungeon keeper.

Read More: Best Base Building Roguelike Games.
KeeperRL at it’s very base is a Roguelike, in which you take on the role of a “Keeper”, who’s job is to build a dungeon and maintain it, all the while encouraging monsters to come to your dungeon. There’s a handful of monsters and they all fill a role.
People have been comparing it to stuff, such as Dwarf Fortress and while I can see how it’d be easy to compare KeeperRL to that game, the reality is, it’s not nearly as deep, complex or polished as Dwarf Fortress; it’s no comparison at all. This statement still stands even after a the updates given to the game.

Tribal Wars
I have been playing this game since 2007. Most of the gameplay is still the same from back then. But now with a lot of QoL improvements. The game is well balanced overall, but sometimes a little too much luck based. I have a lot of great memories from this game and made a lot of friends aswell. The game is easy to start with but hard to master.
However the developers do not know what to do with this game and destroyed this beautifull game the last couple of years. The game has become too much pay to win in my eyes and it’s not doing any good. I don’t mind to pay for extra premium functions, but buying resources, cheaper buildings, instantly finishing buildings, with your own money to get an advantage over other players is just plain wrong in my eyes. Also the addition of flags is only benefitting the older players and not the newer ones.

This was mostly a trip down memory lane for me. I played on World 18 and 19 about 12 years ago. And, by the way, the game on their international server is currently on World 117. This is on the Tribal Wars US server. But, the game is more or less the same.
This game requires a lot of baby sitting. Everything runs in real time. And, it is highly recommended that you get in a good tribe early–or that you join one that is very good diplomatically to become aligned with the winning tribe. If you start later than a few days after world launch, you are already in trouble and could end up continually getting conquered and restarted.

Zodiac Legion
Zodiac Legion is a turn-based tactical RPG featuring lethal combat, squad management and strategic elements. Lead your heroes through daring raids and forgotten ruins, defend your land in a time of conquest and betrayal, and master the secrets of volatile ancient magic to restore a realm beset by the armies of undying fiendish sorcerers.
features
-
Lead your knights in turn-based tactical battles.
-
Explore ancient ruins and places of power, thwart the plans of enemy lieutenants, forge alliances, and restore the Zodiac Order.
-
Smash your way through fully destructible dungeons.
-
Expand and strengthen your stronghold, research new spells and craft powerful artifacts.
-
Reshape the terrain to your advantage.
-
Develop your warriors into mighty champions.
As the Grandmaster of the Zodiac Order, it will be your duty to restore this knightly brotherhood and rally its champions under the banners of the thirteen Zodiac signs. You will manage your domain, take important diplomatic decisions and train your warriors in the arcane arts. Enemy armies will invade your borders, forcing you to dispatch your knights on missions resolved through turn-based, tactical battles. Their superhuman powers will tip the scales in the face of overwhelming odds, but beware: many will not survive the ordeal. Yet exploring the secrets of necromancy may reveal that a Zodiac Knight’s duty need not end in death.
The work on Zodiac Legion began because we shared the vision of a game that would combine the tactical combat and strategic campaign of X-COM, with the fantasy aspects and dungeon crawling typical of most roleplaying games.
We decided to use the theme of the Zodiac because of its association with classical mythology, and due to its ties with distinct character archetypes, which served as the foundation of our class system. There are hundreds of distinct features and qualities attributed to the signs by astrology, which lends itself to a robust and interconnected system that has an impact on all the aspects of Zodiac Legion’s gameplay and storytelling.
Brave Path
Very Roguelike difficulty, with progression through a base that you build up as your various heroes venture forth, with turn based strategy and crafting with a lot of depth.

So far so good, I quite enjoy it. It’s tricky organizing your items at first but once you have the architect table you can make chests and bookcases to hold your items (and find them there when you die, too!) Wish I didn’t have to hold recipes individually though, they take up so much space for such a small piece of paper! :p

Altwaldheim: Town in Turmoil
Simple game. Yet rng, 5 factions, random events, riddles make it complex with deep strategy element.
I love city builders and making units in general. Game is very challenging I’ve played 17.5 hours a few days into purchasing and even though made it to final boss twice i still have not beat the game yet. Addictive game play and replay value is high.
Key to starting is focus on 1. gold 2. food 3. wood. i do not make any units until i’m attacked at the start. when i am attacked I focus on making a few units ie 20 archers maybe 10 thugs 10 militia then attack the small camps ie peasant militia and archer camps. make iron and stone mine and the remaining buidings. pick one faction to focus on and maybe have a subfaction as 2nd ary. for me i choose military and later capitalists. but there are relion freethinkers and nature ie guardians.

Ok folks,
I’ve been playing games from a very young age. This game will work for you if you like a chill relaxed management game that will challenge you.
Graphics are minimalist but it doesn’t matter.
I recommend the game because the developers did a really really good job in pulling this together in a way that it will keep you entertained while really focusing on you management and decision skills.
Well done, it’s a buy.

The Last Spell
A fun and addictive game that’s essentially tower defense with elements of party management/rpg, town/resource/strategic management, and enjoyable “rogue-like-lite-whatever” persistent unlocks over time. Maybe even a dash of almost RTS with how worker management flows.
The gameplay loop itself is simple - defend your little “city” against hordes of monsters by night, build/develop base/heroes/etc by day - repeat til you fail or win - earn unlocks to get stronger for the next time - and repeat.

It has been a long while since I enjoyed game this much straight on launch, last game I sank this many hours in on launch was Trails of Cold Steel IV on PS4 launch even if it is ‘just’ early access game right now there already is plenty to play and explore, in the roughly 10 hours so far I already unlocked good chunk of upgrades… And I barely made dent in the actual % of them
There are some weapons that are very obviously superior to others, at least that’s how I feel personally so far, like Spears and Daggers are ridiculously OP if you can grab bit of mana regen or in case of dagger/hand crossbows getting few multihits in, poison dagger toss is strong enough to hold a side on their own for first 4-5 nights which I think is silly (But I don’t say this cause I think it should be nerfed mind you, I actually think it is good thing that there are simply weapons that are better, while other have a nieche they can fulfill, like I personally don’t think Hammer is too good in general, but the aoe stun is good for stalling, it won’t work long term though unless you heavily spec into that kind of playstyle with your hero)

Urban Survival
This game is Awesome! So creative and fun even for a early access game there is loads of content and the Devs. are constantly adding new stuff. they have limited-time seasonal updates were you can get unique holiday weapons and armour. Its stuff like that, that makes this game such a fun and fresh experience not to mention the humour keeps me laughing the hole time.

Great game! This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for! It has exactly what I want in a game! Open world (although its not so huge from what I can see but nonetheless feels great), base building/managing, crafting/cooking, looting (lots of looting lol), combat/gang wars and the power to pee on anything! lol. I’m glad I wish listed this game and then purchased it on day one, it was worth every penny! Its been keeping me entertained and glued to my seat. I look forward to seeing this game grow in development! Keep up the good work Helix Games!
