The Store is Closed
The Store is Closed is an online COOP survival game set in an infinite furniture store.
You’re trapped in an endless furniture store, trying to survive against the mutated staff who attack at night. The player must explore the store including the different departments, the underground SCP labs and the floating departments in the sky to find a way out.
When the lights go out and the store closes, the staff get aggressive. Luckily the world is filled with furniture which can be used to craft weapons, and build fortifications to survive the nights.
Unique setting
-
Explore an endless world, filled with different departments such as the show floor, cafes and warehouse sections.
-
Every day the store will close; the lights go out and the staff become more dangerous. Make sure you have a weapon to defend yourself, or hide until the store opens again.
-
Explore the mysterious SCP labs, where you’ll find unique weapons, crafting materials and more dangerous staff.
-
Build towers to the sky and discover what lies above. There are both secrets, and horrors above.
-
Where is the exit? Since the staff aren’t talkative you’ll need to figure this out yourself. There are rumors of SCP scientists wandering about so maybe they’ll know.
Key features
-
The entire world is destructible. Every wall, table, chair can be broken to be used as crafting materials.
-

You’ll need a home base to return to at night. Build walls to keep the staff out, campfires to cook food and crafting tables to make weapons.
-
You’ll need to eat. Savage food from the cafes dotted around the world, and return home to cook more fortifying meals on your campfire.
-
Discover the origins of the store, and find out what the SCP foundation are doing in their underground bunkers.
-
You’re not alone. The game features Online COOP; fight the staff and build bases with friends.

The longer you survive the more dangerous the staff become. Eventually you’ll attract the attention of managers. You’ll battle increasingly difficult bosses and combat events as you progress.
-
Venture further into the store’s depths discovering unique locations, crafting materials and weapons along the way.
-
The game features a deep crafting tree. Build crafting benches, tools and explore the world to create a variety of items.
-
Carve out a home in the madness. Fortify your base with increasingly sturdy walls and dangerous traps with the flatpack furniture from the store.

Cannibal Crossing
I rarely buy full priced games but Cannibal Crossing is an exception due to Death Road to Canada.
The game is enjoyable yet frustrating with bugs, crazy difficulty scaling Days 1-4 is easy, 5-6 sometimes its hard depending on RNG ( AI aggro is random) beyond 7 gets crazy and you just die from lack of ammo, food, black sludge infection and when you run out stamina running and dodging Negatives even if your stamina skills are maxed out. Due to the pacing of the game I have to prioritize on certain skills like dodge, maxing health and stamina recovery in normal mode. There’s a lot of bugs and needs more polishing, there are times I still get hit from Boss attacks after I defeat them and I die which is frustrating to start all over . Base building is fun but also takes a lot of resources away if you have to build ammo.

Can’t recommend this game in its current state.
Lacking so many things that would makes it playable.
Game says its coop(couch coop in the same house, forget remote play and parsec, not worth the hassle), but that is on my top 5 worst coop experience in my book. why?
The more people you are the harder the game is(that is some what fair BUT!), to the point where if your 4 players, killing just one zombie in the beginning is a hassle, also a weird thing the more players the faster in game time goes and its a pretty big issue since everything gets harder the longer you stay, in solo you can loot, kill and set up a base in the first day, coop…. not so much, before my friends and I could even loot a few houses it was night and horde time. So everybody died, the game spawned us at different places on the map, but centered the camera view between us, so impossible to regroup and we ended up just not playing the game. We did manage build a few items for a base to scrap weapons, always awesome the spend materials to build stuff that just doesn’t work, like it literally didn’t work, no interaction with the machine at all. no quick “break down” in inventory.

Zombie Builder Defense
I like the gameplay aspects of it like the ability to upgrade blocks and build as you see fit. The selection for weapons is good, the skill tree is also good but i feel like it is too easy too level up. i would like to see either slower xp gain or more skills in the skill tree. I like the boss battles but the level 40 boss is really difficult and i feel like we should get more time to prepare like adding more waves and having that boss come later in the game. i would like to see more bosses added too. Survival is cool but the zombie spawning doesnt work so you kind of just run around like an idiot and have nothing to kill. the game is really good but a lot of aspects need improvement.

Fun little game that cost you less than a can of Spam. Ideally better with friends but it can still entertain you if you’re at work pretending to be busy.
Pros:
Can be bought with money from selling steam badges
Nice sound effects and smooth animations
Has an endless mode
Telent tree that saves exp and upgrades to your profile
Cons:
I have no idea what this has to do with Bitcoin
Zombie AI seems to only be able to brute force its way to kill you, thus zombies are easily routed
Single player boss fights can be much more difficult than multiplayer

A Year Of Rain
As a Warcraft/Starcraft and Command & Conquer Kid, I was positively surprised to hear there’s someone taking a stab at a new RTS.
It’s heartwarmingly reminiscent of those games. Yeah, let me go grab my fucking Pulitzer, I bet there is a category for stating the obvious. Of course most RTS games are akin to the merciless RTS Emperor sitting on the throne made out of the bones of anyone who dares step into their domain.
Reading it was Daedalic running straight into that chainsaw, I was prepared for another mixed bag.

A Year of Rain
A new, unique RTS that had potential, but due to lack of publisher faith, was crippled at launch and abandoned soon after
So… This game is pretty good. It’s pretty much like a Warcraft 3 spiritual successor. Better than WC3 Reforged in a lot of ways.
As much as I want to love this game however I can’t pretend I’m not disappointed. The game was released unfinished, and abandoned very quickly. I don’t think Daedalic had any faith in it, they released it before it was ready and didn’t even give it a chance to build momentum and customer faith. They were hoping for a big launch with their unfinished early access game, didn’t get it, and abandoned the game rather than wait. As a game dev I understand the circumstance, but you can’t expect an EA title to sell like a finished one. It does come with a beefy campaign, that can be played solo or coop. It has full on voice acting, in game cutscenes, etc. Plus skirmish mode, and of course Online mode. So the content is there, it was mostly finished even, but as expected needed work, which is the whole point of early access. Pathfinding can be pretty bad sometimes, which REALLY hurts the play experience in an RTS. Other than that however the game-play is pretty polished and AYOR really gives WC3 reforged a run for it’s money IMO. I do hate the Coop AI, because I prefer to play solo and I have always hated Coop RTS campaigns with AI allies (like Red Alert 3) but still the game has SO MUCH potential it makes me depressed. I’m just disappointed that Daedalic seemingly launched this game to try and make back as much of their money as possible without ever really planning to support it, they basically lied about it, but in an underhanded way so they could shrug off blame.

BiteVille
I was unsure about this game due to its mixed reviews however I decided to give it a go and bought a copy for me and one for my son and we got stuck in and here is my findings.
Pro
-
Graphics are pretty fun
-
Building a base can be fun and interesting
-
I like having NPC defenders to add to the strategy side
-
Zombies a fun and varied
-
Watching my son die each wave after only killing 3 then getting taken out by Granny zombie
Neg
- Needs more customisation for example if you could research what you want instead of following a predefined list that would be better.

TL:DR good fun, worth a try, cool guns
Normally not my genre, but this game is good fun! The combination of building, protecting survivors and progression adds a whole world of variety. Game is thrilling but not too scary which some zombie games overdo, this one is just the right balance. Bosses are great - unique attacks require a different strategy each game. Fun gun animations.
Beginners tip: walking backwards is quite slow so zombies will catch you if you only walk backwards. Also mystery chest can unlock some pretty epic/powerful weapons early on.

Carth
Carth is a multiplayer medieval light fantasy rpg that brings an enormous open world map to explore. The open world on Carth is filled with dozens of unique enemies, legendary items, scores of towns, and truly beautiful scenery. Carth is meant for long time game play and persistent worlds with heavy focus on survival, building, crafting, and the freedom to do what you want. Not to mention many smaller maps meant for faster game play types such as Siege, Team Deathmatch, Capture The Flag, Last Man Standing, Tournaments and more. Players shall be able to host their own public or private servers and select the type of game style they wish.
#### The Four Sibling Gods For hundreds of years the inhabitants of Carth lived in relative harmony. Carth was home to a multitude of different races, factions and clans. Though conflicts would arise from time to time, trouble would soon dissolve into the usual balanced equilibrium so typical of the land. All of this meant little to the four god siblings residing over the realm. The youngest of the four, Taernath, saw the inhabitants of Carth as weaker beings. At first, the dwellers of Carth were mere playthings. Slowly and subtly these manipulations turned towards true evil and corruption of their souls, minds, and bodies.
#### The Evil Within Taernath found the more souls he converted towards his ideals and worship the stronger he became. As a result, the Schism of the Gods came to pass. Once Taernath’s powers grew there was nothing his siblings could do but try to reason and slow his corruption. Their words fell on deaf ears and in one brilliant flash of cosmic light he reduced his siblings to nothing more than shadows of their former selves. With no one left to oppose him, Taernath was consumed by the very evil he once wielded. A darkness fell over Carth that had never been seen before. Portals to other realms opened by Taernath flooded the land with dark shadows and terrors. Tribes of orcs invaded further south from the Clincolt, unholy beings walked through the rifts, and peace was but a distant echo of the past. These are the times that you find at your feet.
#### Can you Survive Can you Survive with evil spread throughout all of the lands how shall you live your life? Shall you bend a knee to the evil that undoubtedly awaits you, or shall you stand and fight? Fight to survive, fight to live, or fight to end this darkness brought forth from Taernath? Can you survive in these times? Welcome to Carth…

Alrighty 500+ hours in I finally feel good about doing a proper review of this game. This new early access RTS title has a huge future in Tournaments and game play. The development team behind the game are a team of passionate individuals who love this game and are giving it their all probably at the expense of rest and vacation time. This team is incredibly active in their discord and their stream content on all the work that they are doing on this game and have been an absolute joy to discuss and play the game with. Yes the devs have so much passion for this game you can find yourself playing with them as they test and modify game settings to make the game experience better. This team even though the game is in early access have worked so hard on the functionality, latency and path finding of this game since day one that it is now in a very playable and fun state. It is still early access and many things will change over time as they develop the game fully but I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who loves RTS and wants to get a head start on this early access title which will definitely be the future of RTS gaming and Tournaments. Things to look forward to in this game the first ever fully coop RTS genre, a single player and potentially coop campaign mode, survival of waves of trolls or just simply jumping into sandbox to test game features or build a dwarven city. You can test your metal against the computer ai as you get ready to jump into conquest with your friends against many challengers with many different strategies. Take your time and play solo in skirmish vs the ai to learn the 3 roles and how they go together in a competitive match. Play as either the warrior, builder, and miner or as all three against an ai opponent or against waves of enemies as you learn the game before the campaign release. I cannot recommend this game enough for RTS lovers everywhere Hero Coop RTS the first of its genre i have ever seen. Check out the friend-pass today to see if the game is right for you! Jump in the discord and hop in with the community as they learn the game as it evolves and updates through patch notes and hot fixes; find what role fits you best is it the multitasking warrior ever vigilant, the miner ever advancing or the builder ever expanding. Or are you one of the few jack of all trades people who can do it all and fill any group with what they need. More content is on the way for this game all the time and it is all exciting! Don’t miss your chance to be a part of it. The weakest point of the game right now is the population easily fixed by more people playing!

Edit: 1.0 Dwarfheim release 27.September.2021
Issues from first playable demo are still not resolved,
-Pathfinding: Every unit feels like it’s skating, they cannot find path and are constantly getting stuck on terrain, buildings, other units.
And in general dozen and dozen other game breaking mechanics that i spot in ONE game that need fixing like:
Capturable Runes on minimap are drawn after the units hiding them on minimap.
No notification sound when your unit off camera gets attacked.
Balance is whack AF. One turret that costs like 2-3 units require dozen of units to kill it for price of a turret. Making turret spam OP, plus it costs no pop. Then add other buildings infront of the turret like walls or houses and you broke the game.

To start I tried to avoid all info and most betas of this to go in fresh without any prior opinion or jaded by the opinions of others and I must say… this game is a giant piece of crap.
Runs like trash on a 3080/5900x, 32 Gigs DDR4, and on a NVME SSD to start which doesn’t help. Enemies lack proper pathing, AI spawn out of the air on top of you in scripted “missions”, had 2 bears land on top of me, then figured it was coming the 2nd time and 4 wolves pop out of the air… difference being this time I got them all stuck on each other and they sorta made a wolf pyramid while I sniped at them.

15 hours of play time later edit: Still running smooth, still a lot of fun, has thirty dollars worth of content in my honest opinion. Running 8 player missions is still hilarious.
Oh jeez okay Icarus. Well right off the bat 10/10 is my score for it. 100 out of 100, it’s exactly what I wanted when I first saw the silly trailer a few years back.
Tl;dr: PVE survival game with good coop, good character growth options, fun stuff, decent gameplay loop, really dedicated dev team. I’ve spent more money on far worse games that got less play time than the beta of this game.
