Blood of Titans

Blood of Titans

So i see most reviews are from people with 2 hours so i will be the first actual player to write a real review, let me start by saying the game is free, you can choose to play for absolutely nothing, now that being said, just like any other game released on steam, you can pay for more, are there expensive single cards in the shop? yes. do you need to buy them? no. should you buy them? no.

This is a strategy game, if you aren’t good at strategy you will lose a lot, the strategy lacks a lot of depth but it is there, and you can really notice the difference once you figure out a play style and learn to counter different things. it is the general nature of a card game to know that one specific card will not beat another, if you cannot learn this you will not find success in this game.

Hmm were to start ?

First at all it not really PTW it has elements like the most games in steam , you can reach even all cards ( right now common , uncomman , rare , epic , legandary ) in only playing the story line , with all i mean even the legendary and you have to pay nothing for … its right that there are cards with 15 $ or 30 $ , but do you have to buy them - no … so before act like a cry baby ( as a read the most negativ reviews with not really a background ) , try to get some knowledge over the game , before speak up again , to pay for a game and think you would be NO.1 will never work without knowledge , … so in all - its a nice game not perfect , its new , the art style is awsome you can collect card pieces (copie from your card) to make your card stronger and the animation changes too , there permanent new events - the are allways free , give it a try ; )

Nocked! True Tales of Robin Hood

Nocked! True Tales of Robin Hood

The game Nocked! has you taking on the role of Robin Hood set in a world where myth and magic still has a foothold. You start out as a runaway who takes to Sherwood forest to claim their future.

The game itself contains elements of interactive fiction (think choose your own adventure) as well as resource management. In fact, this was the stand out portion for me.

The first thing you will notice is that you can choose the gender of your Robin, and even some limited background choices which will have some game affects. Additionally, the character of Maid Marian even has some variation which can affect play.

A really nice CYOA game. It actually reminded me of Mass Effect 2, in that you have a base and companions, and your choices have long-term impact (otherwise it’s entirely dissimilar to ME2; see any screenshot).

There are healthy doses of whimsy in the setting and humour in the writing, and it mixes classic Robin Hood story beats in with more fantastical stuff. It’s comfy and tense, and perfectly paced. The music is also wonderful.

My only gripes are minor (despite this being the biggest paragraph): some of the art is quite bad (the character silhouettes work well, but some of the other stuff looks like programmer art) and the overall graphic design could use work. This is all just window dressing though and doesn’t really matter*. A bigger annoyance is that the checkpoints are a bit far apart for more my liking–I appreciate it discouraging save scumming, but there were a couple of times when I misunderstood an option so badly that I felt unfairly shafted by choosing it, in which case I rolled back and lost lots of progress. The last thing that left a bad taste was the ending: it felt like I had no way of knowing the implications of some of the choices.

It’s a funny game, easy to master.

There is no tutorial, but you’ll learn to play it quite easily.

Real player with 5.4 hrs in game

The lack of tutorial and community guides can throw new players off. However, once you got the hang of how to get around the game and the UI, it gets going. It’s nice and all but the game can use plenty improvements like multiple save points, pausing the game to plan with menu blocking, and faster screen scroll. But considering how short the game can be, perhaps you just want to quickly unlock everything and speed-click through the game. There’s potential to this game if the dev wills it so. The rest of you contemplating to buy or not; get when it’s on sales (at least more than 75% off). Unlock all achievements and not look back. You’re not playing “Banished” here…

nice little chilled game, easily played ( and minimised when the boss walks in ) between working on spreadsheets etc. Nice simple and relaxed.

It’s a mobile game, fun but you’d need to spend some time to get to other galaxies (it’ll unlock more ships and crafts). Great if you like slow paced games.

Division of Labour

Division of Labour

In Division of Labour, the player takes on the role of The Manager in a developing nation called Auriverde during a world ecological collapse.

The player manages the workforce and machinery of a factory, fulfilling contracts and earning profits for the Overseer Corp. Buying resources, manufacturing goods, managing the workers and facing moral and ethical decisions are the core of the game.

Compassion

The player has the option to make their workers more comfortable to improve efficiency, or pay them more to increase worker happiness. Events may occur where the player can do a favour for a worker, give time off for a holiday or generally try to help them.

Exploitation

However, Overseer Corp always demands larger and larger profits, and so balancing these becomes the core of the game. To make greater and greater profits, more sacrifices will need to be made and corners will need to be cut.

Storytelling

Along the way, the player will be presented with moral and ethical decisions regarding their works and the world at large. Whether it’s simply a worker who needs time of for medical reasons or an earthquake on the other side of the world sending migrants flocking to Auriverde for work and security, there’s always decisions to make.

Development Progress

A playable demo will be available very soon. To stay up to date with development you can follow our site. For now, consider adding us to your wishlist!

Remains

Remains

Very satisfying for an early access game. I have just a little over 24 hours into the game and highly recommend joining the discord to search for solutions/answers to some basic how-to’s in early game.

Like commented elsewhere, the gameplay is very raft-in-space. I like the story-line and blackbox gigs as the early access campaign pre-cursor. Good mechanics IMHO and I have yet to run into any serious bugs. In the current release there is a items-stop-spawning issue that is easily remedied by save-exit-load game.

Real player with 27.4 hrs in game

Ok so Im gonna start off by saying, Yes this is LIKE Raft. we all know that raft has shaped the open world survival craft genre. but Remains has similarity’s to Desert Skies and subnautica and Void Train. i have spent 2 hour trying to decide if this game is just a lame reskin or a game all its own and im leaning twords the second option. I am glad that its only 6 buck cause there is not much content. but im very very happy with it so far and im eger for more updates. this is really gonna be a game to follow! now time for the negative……..and its 3 words, IN.GAME.TUTORIAL! there is not help on how to play the game! you just get dropped in and kinda have to figure it out on your own. if a basic tutorial was added it would clear up major struggles and confusion. but thats really my only issue. now that im done writing this imma go play this some more! Cheers!
