METAL GEAR SURVIVE

METAL GEAR SURVIVE

TL;DR: The story is enjoyable, but almost every other aspect of this game gets it horribly wrong. Rather than unlockable mechanics that keep the player busy, you can pay to unlock features of the game that completely eliminate the core aspects of playing a survival game.

Let me first start out this review by saying that if you are a fan of Metal Gear, this is your Indiana Jones IV moment. Do not enter here. You will have all the wrong expectations and will ultimately leave angry, disappointed, and in general, feeling sorry for your wallet.

Intro

(Spoiler-Free Review)

Metal Gear Survive (MGSU) is an experimental open-world action game that blends elements from many different genres. In this spin-off players impersonate “The Captain”, one of the survivors of a mysterious incident that transported them into a parallel dimension. Toxic air, harsh climate and dangerous monsters make this alien world extremely dangerous to humans: that’s why the Captain along with an AI called Virgil and other survivors, has to find a way to go back in their reality.

A great game with a great community. If you get bored of the main game, you can go into both mapping and modding. Both can be just as enjoyable as normal gameplay, and people on the official Discord will help if you have any problems. Absolutely recommended.

Great take on the original, but could be much better

I played the original game when it first came out. I still remember playing it as a teenager. I loved that game, I played it so many times across many years.

Even after uninstalling, if I come across it again I will play it again. That’s how good it was. It was funny, it was logical, it was quirky, it had mod support and overall entertaining.

When Evil Genius 2 came out, I was super excited to play it again as I thought it would be much better than the original but it was missing a few vital quirks that would’ve made it better.

Organs Please

Earth’s population is on the verge of a global resource crisis. Can you build the spaceship on time and earn one more chance for humankind? Hurry, you only have only 30 days left!

  • Screen the visitors dying to get off the planet and more than willing to risk being turned into canned food, incinerated or hired as one of the factory’s employees. The pros and cons of each fate are debatable.

  • Manage the factory floor, construct new facilities and upgrade the research center. Resources are finite, so try to make sure things don’t fall apart before the ship takes off.

  • Hire staff with unique quirks, fears and prejudices. Promote hard workers and keep them pampered with improved amenities. As for the lazy ones…they get sent to a special room in the darkest corner of the factory.

  • Juggle orders from competing organizations and be sure to meet your weekly quota to keep the higher-ups happy. Remember – you are alive as long as you are useful.

I realy like the concept of this game! It is very funny to fight against the incoming waves of people and to survive. I know I have only 3.5 hrs played until now but I had this time spent with friends in a nice made game..

Unfortunately i noticed some mistakes in programming. The biggest issue is probably the server management. When ingame it happens very often my friends disconnect and the whole progress is ruined (please fix as quick as possible). It would be nice to keep working on a well working first person mode and fix issues that (for example) sometimes the attackers run over obstackles or walls.

i cant lie… i love this game so much. i have always wanted a TD type game like this and well here it is in glorious meme form. i have enjoyed my first day of playing and i plan to play it some more. of course since it in early access, bugs and glitches are to be expected. For ex… there is one where the game will just freeze randomly and some other minor ones. my only issue with this game is the insane unfairness of the entirety of this game. the attacker seriously needs to be nerfed because some times you cant even play past 10 mins because of people who eco farm and rush. I advise that you nerf all of the troops as well as make them more costly to make it balanced. i also have some recommendations for some extra quality for the game, 1 make it so when you hover over the quit button it turns a lighter color so its not as confusing, 2 add guides to see where your troops are going (you can toggle this) 3 make it so when you place a turret it shows what its range is and maybe make it so you can upgrade each tower, 4 each character should have upgrades specific to their class AND please add sprint (limited and recharge) 5 more modes like 1v1v1v1v1 with auto spawning waves, mode with longer time (20,30,40 mins), and a co-op with auto spawning waves. another mode could be to see how long you can survive auto waves for a leader board. 6 my last suggestion is a leveling system that rewards cosmetics for characters and their guns as well as each defense. i hope this game goes far because it has such great potential. good luck

Bum Simulator

Bum Simulator

This game gave me many hours of screaming laughter. I can now be one with the pigeons, When I play Bum simulator I really am just practising for my future. If being a Bum is this easy I might give it a try and with the acute lack of employment opportunities these days it might just be worth doing. The pigeon lady is me in 10 years.

I love being able to shove pigeons in everyone’s faces and piss everywhere at will on an indifferent world, cause twister-fulls of pigeons wrecking everyone’s day, causing car crashes everywhere, running from the police, pissing on them and launching fat dirty pigeons at them from great heights. writing obscenities on signs and getting money for them. It is pure joy.

From Completing the game on Normal and progressing on Hard difficulty, I believe I can leave a review on the game.

From all of the other survival/simulation games.

I really enjoy the concept of this game of where it’s going.

The building can be a bit funny at times. But as to expect as a early access, but don’t get me wrong. Everything else is dam brilliant,

The graphics of the city is absolutely great, Decent size starting map. (I still get lost half the time which is good for as i have to figure out how to get back to my base).

Gas Station Simulator

Gas Station Simulator

The game idea itself is great, however it needs A LOT of polishing to be considered playable / fully released.

Game Breaking Bugs:

  • If you start playing, the performance is OK, however the more you play, it gets slower and more demanding on resources on your computer, perhaps you guys have a memory leak somewhere, or something. It’s not normal to start with ~100 fps and be on ~30 after a hour of gameplay.

  • You should be able to sell your stuff, if you steal from cars A LOT, it all adds up to the warehouse making tight space for your deliveries. If you don’t want to allow us to sell the things, then at least make it that we can throw them in trash or something.

Warhammer® 40,000: Dawn of War® - Soulstorm

Warhammer® 40,000: Dawn of War® - Soulstorm

It is the 41st Millennium. For more than a hundred centuries the Emperor of Mankind has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth. He is the master of mankind by the will of the gods and master of a million worlds by the might of His inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Technology. He is the Carrion Lord of the vast Imperium of Man for whom a thousand souls are sacrificed every day so that He may never truly die.

Yet even in His deathless state, the Emperor continues His eternal vigilance. Mighty battlefleets cross the daemon-infested miasma of the Warp, the only route between distant stars, their way lit by the Astronomican, the psychic manifestation of the Emperor’s will. Vast armies give battle in His name on uncounted worlds. Greatest amongst His soldiers are the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Marines, bio-engineered super-warriors. Their comrades in arms are legion: the Imperial Guard and countless planetary defence forces, the ever-vigilant Inquisition and the Tech-priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat to humanity from aliens, heretics, mutants – and far, far worse.

Do you know when you truly love a game?

When almost 12 years after it’s launch, the giddy excitement of running home from work to play it never actually wore off.

Don’t let my playtime fool you, I owned the boxed versions of these games loooong before they were in my Steam account and have invested literally THOUSANDS of hours into this game. I was always kind of interested in 40K, having roomates who played the tabletop when I was younger and reading the odd comic here and there, but THIS was the game that turned me into a 40K fanboy and opened me up to the whole universe.

Fire In The Hole

Fire In The Hole

This is an online shooting game with Battle Royale mode. The game is played in a dark room in which characters are shrunk to the 1/10 of their original sizes. Hide next to tea table or sofa to launch a surprise attack, or simply dive from bookshelf top to shoot whoever below. Since most of the game areas are surrounded by darkness, you can switch on the rifle flashlight for illuminating targeted areas, but always watch out for enemies who follow the light to sneak up on you!

Booze Master

Tea, juice, cola, soy milk. Everything tastes better with a little booze on top.

I’m Jerry. I just got back from the joint and found my wonderful estate in tatters. My woman doesn’t love me anymore, my cousin is still a pain in the nation’s healthy body, and the neighbors are driving me crazy with their insect-like racket. I will fix up this village as good as new and become the richest man within a 10-mile radius. Now, you ask me, “How can I do this?” By turning everything I touch into alcohol.

KEY FEATURES

  • Develop a liquor resort. Become the owner of an ethyl spa.

  • Collect formulas. Dozens of moonshine recipes waiting to be implemented.

  • Fulfill hundreds of orders for liquors. From the indigent to the pretentious rich.

  • Grow your own plants. There are currently over a hundred of them in the game.

  • Explore forests and the wilderness. Collect mushrooms, wild fruits, and trash.

  • Support the local community. Money invested in the village means more opportunities.

It doesn’t matter if the glass is half empty or half full. There is always room for more %

Experienced booze gourmet? Amateur drinker? By trial and error, you will reach perfection (and a headache, probably). Learn from scratch to create the perfect liquor. Don’t forget that creating moonshine is illegal, so do your best to keep your production undercover.

What you drink is what you are. Better ingredients - better booze - better kick

You need plenty of stuff to create plenty of booze. When you have enough cash on you, there is nothing you can’t buy. Negotiate the best prices, buy more equipment and ingredients, and hire more people. But while you’re at it, be very careful not to arouse suspicion.

What you plant now you will harvest later

Your competitors are waiting for your mistakes, they will do everything in their power to make your life miserable, and they want nothing more than to eliminate you from the business using various devious tricks. Be prepared. Remember that as your home-brewing enjoys growing popularity, the police will start to sniff around, so stay alert. Don’t get caught. Hide, create deception. Avoid publicity.

The problem with the world is that everyone is a few drinks behind

Pack your moonshine into boxes, put them in the back of the truck, and drive off like mad as cops will try to take over your precious liquor. And remember, on Fridays customers' livers are just beginning their workweek.

Don’t get high on your own supply

Unfortunately, the better booze you create, the stronger effects it can have. Being loaded at work is not the best idea

“They say milk gives you strength. Drink three glasses and try moving a wall. You can’t. Drink three shots of my booze and it moves all by itself.”
