UNITED COMMAND ®

UNITED COMMAND ®

Nice game with command and conquer vibes. Surely needs some polishing but already in early access I had some fun with the coop-campaign. The assets for the troops and the buildings look very good, the maps should be a little more detailed. Also it would be great to be able to sell units - especially when the raffinery is destroyed and you need money to buy another one.

Commanding Nations

Commanding Nations

Commanding Nations is an indie title seeking to bring RTS gaming to the modern era by injecting innovative gameplay mechanics, next gen visuals, combat systems, interactive maps and unique factions into a genre which has not seen much change for the past twenty years.

Revamping The Classics

Gameplay is the very core of every game, and is especially important in a good RTS title, as such we want to get it absolutely right. With a focus toward base building and squad creation, we seek to introduce new elements to the formula such as combining units, managing their ammunition reserves and making sure to have them fallback to safe zones to resupply, while also making sure that defending players cannot simply turtle their way through a match.

In addition, we want to make it a beautiful experience by introducing elements such as high resolution graphics, dynamic weather, night and heat vision, mist and even interactive grass that small units can go prone in to take the enemy by surprise!

Living Locations

Commanding Nations offers multiple game mods and maps, with a focus on Twin Valley, a large and interactive terrain with hidden pathways and resource points. Further, the maps will also sport city centers and urban terrain which may hide more than you bargained for! Civilians still inhabit these zones, and intense firefight might rally them against you! Rebellions will start to form and spread throughout the maps, fortifying buildings as well as pathways and shooting at any players seeking to break through.

Away from these centers, other elements will keep you on your toes. Birds nestled in trees might reveal your location to the enemy, or provide an early warning of incoming forces! Sound is also important, with units emitting distinctive noise and characteristic voice lines at the click of a button to let you instantly recognize the one you’ve selected, and whether it is engaging someone or on the move.

The Hidden Conflict’s Instigators

Vying for control of Twin Valley will be three base factions present at launch: Raven, The Scavenger Union and Hong Corp, each with their own distinct playstyle, units, abilities and tactics. But we don’t intend to stop there! We are already working on additional opponents with their own unique spin to enhance the experience, from PMCs to National Armies!

Climbing The Ladder

Lastly, Commanding Nations will fully launch with an in-depth competitive system with both ranked mode and the ability to support Esport, so sharpen your skills and keep your troops at the ready, you’ll certainly need it!

We are eager to see you in action on the battlefield, Commander!

Warzone 2100

Warzone 2100

Old school RTS. Somewhat limited due to the old UI, archaic controls, and limited mission parameters (that were sometimes in place to keep the game within the performance capacity available at the time). BUT! despite all that. This is the game that kept me into RTS games during a helluva long dry spell LOL. Dune on Genesis caught me first. Then this and the Command and Conquer games. I’ve played so much Stellaris it isn’t even a game anymore. it’s an empire simulator. But i still love this game. a lot!

For a game more then 20 years old it is still awesome. I first played this on Play Station 1 and after a few years I found a pirated copy online and still play it. Because it is 20 years old there are some AI issues with pathing but nothing that cant be remidied by changing your click and forget playstyle.

My biggest selling point on this game is something that ALL RTS games should have… a “seemless campane” meaning the defences AND units you build are used for ALL future missions. There are a number of customization options and stratagies you can choose from even in single player matches vs the PC.

There’s more than one way to survive hunger. Make your way through the jungle, and hunt wild and strange animals, or stick to the flora, grow and harvest your very own alien fruit and vegetable from the ground below your feet.

Well, I didn’t expect to see this on Steam! Classic “beer and pretzels” 4X game, rather simplistic compared to later Space Empires games but still fun to play. The UI is a bit clunky, particularly when it comes to issuing ship commands and building things, and pathfinding through warp points is nonexistent. I wish you could play online against other humans, rather than just locally or vs. the AI; the AI doesn’t seem to be too good at the game. But it’s a fun game to play if you just want to relax and conquer the universe.

Electromaze Tower Defense

Electromaze Tower Defense

Pros

+Endless Mode

+A good variety of towers and mobs, all well-balanced

+Many choices when upgrading

+Ability to choose targeting priority for towers

+Randomly generated Endless maps with waypoints and player-created mazes turns this into an interesting puzzle game

+Great price. $4 is just right for this type of game, even a bit of a bargain, which is part of why this game has 100% positive reviews as of this review.

Excellent. I’ve bought nearly every tower defense game on steam, and played them for thousands of hours. This is one of the best. It’s a great example of superior game design being more important than graphics. The graphics are simple, yet beautiful. Every aspect of the game is well thought out and balanced, so there are always interesting choices to make when trying to get to the next wave.

Real player with 140.3 hrs in game

I fundamentally love tower defense games but there are a few reasons that would prevent me from recommending this to friends.

1: The balance in this game is atrocious. Unless your maze is perfect and you have the best combo of towers possible while getting the perfect seeded map - the endless achievements are quite literally impossible. Even the challenges on the higher difficulties have to be played perfectly to complete them.

2: No real data on the game. There are no sources for information on this game and the walk through doesn’t fully define everything in the game. EX: Some mobs evade attacks - what is that % dodge, are there towers that ignore the dodge, etc. There are no sources for help/vids/strats/advice.
