最后的夜晚 Babel

最后的夜晚 Babel

I would really love to give this game a good review, but I simply can’t. It is broken, unfinished, and not even completely translated into English.

It is a nice, stylish looking tower defense game, but there is much that either is unexplained, doesn’t seem to work, or both.

For example every gun has options beneath it, that might mean damage, range, health, rate of fire and crit chance, but clicking on them doesn’t seem to do anything. All of those are stats given for each gun, but nothing changes when you click them, even after they seem to have leveled up fifty times.

Real player with 5.8 hrs in game

The game has been translated over from Chinese, there are typos in some places (e.g. after base destruction). You can also see direct Mandarin in some text areas e.g a boss has appeared.

I also have a bug where if i zoom out too much the screen starts to shake i believe only on smaller maps. (May be due to ultrawide monitor 3860x1600)

Otherwise, the game is fun! Reminds me of Yorg.IO.

Great price at less than 10AUD, looking forward to updates.

Armed to the Gears

Armed to the Gears

Armed to the Gears:

It all started with the discovery of the Neutronium base element from a deep excavation in 2029, somewhere near a place named Main City. Neutrium turns out to be a powerful new energy that can be used to power batteries and equipment for hundreds of years. This type of energy is always useful for military purposes, and the countries that have access to the Neutrium start a race to develop the ultimate automated warfare unit. The citizens of the world take to the streets to raise their concerns, but the world turns to chaos, leading to the rise of three terrible factions. The worst of the three, the Ministry, wins the race and now controls the world with these ultimate machines of war. That is, until a rebellion of hackers plans to use the machines against the Ministry. It’s going to be Armed to the Gears!

Don't get me wrong with this review, I DID have fun… but there are several things wrong with this game. That being said... i only had like 5.5 hrs ACTUAL time played on campaign..... watched a movie with the wife and went to get more beer while the game was still running. (New Predator movie rocks btw). This game does not suck. I know it is in alpha. I want to like this game more, byt they have a lot of work to do

_Upgrading is confusing at first.. I feel it should be seperated from the turret menu_

## Atomic Society

When I first purchased this game, I have to admit, my initial judgement of it was not favorable. The game was slow and plodding as it was so resource intensive. Saving took several minutes, for example. But, as the years passed, the devs overcame these obstacles and created a fairly decent game. To be certain, it isn't yet completed, but in its current state, it is definitely worth the money. I would recommend getting the game now before it leaves early access as I imagine they will be asking much more for it once completed.

You know that meme with "I expected nothing and I'm still disappointed"?

This pretty much sums up how I feel about "Atomic Society" after 1 day of playing it.

(I can't ask for a refund anymore, but I would if I could.)

Think at your ordinary city building game. Food buildings for food, water buildings for water, housing… and that's it. There is nothing post-apocalyptic, no danger, no radiation, no mutants, nothing. You start the game with 35-50 people (depending on the difficulty) + your "custom" character. As you play the game, no matter how bad you do, other people join your city. There is literally an endless line of people on the map, heading to your location. (Ah, and before you ask, I did "finished" it on expert mode.).

## DYSMANTLE

At first I thought maybe I wasn't going to like it. The combat felt a little bit jank and you spend the vast majority of the game doing exactly what the game's title implies–-you break stuff. A lot. Almost constantly.

Once I got to around the 5 hour mark (when you first leave the tutorial/intro area and the credits roll), that's where I really began to question if I was really going to have a good time. I wasn't sure I was enjoying the combat. And I wasn't sure I just wanted to tediously break stuff for 120 hours.

*– [Real player with 65.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197999926754)*

The game is very addicting and generous in content. There is a lot to see and to explore and quite a diversity in scenaries and actions. I like how the story is told and the fact that you keep on discovering things and paths with great freedom. I also like how you have to discover things yourself by experimenting and being curious.

Be warned that it can feel like a grind and that if you don't like repetition and farming, you might not enjoy it, because you often do the same things ; mostly exploring, breaking stuff, fighting, and crafting. If you enjoy the gameplay loop, you are in for a long time. If you don't, you might feel bored or exhausted before the end. I enjoy the game and like to discover the new places and grow more potent.

## Heart of Mithras

Lead the combat team of your district to the top of the ladder, in the epic battle game of the megacity Mithras. Play a detailed management game. Recruit new soldiers, hire trainers to help your team to develop, build up your new base and play epic tactical battles in a complex simulation, in the arena called Heart of Mithras.

Heart of Mithras is somehow a dystopian sci-fy sport manager paired with a tactical shooter simulation (like a CS-simulation)

Story:

After the great civil war of 2700 the megacity of Mithras was buried under rubble and ashes.

## Mr. Prepper

I’ll be honest and say that I wasn’t sure if I liked it the first few hours but boy did I change my mind. I was expecting to actually have to survive in the shelter I created and see the aftermath of the wasteland left after the world goes to hell and I was puzzled as to why this sort of game play wasn’t added in but it’s still a fantastic base building , survival game and I hope they’ll add DLC in the future, where you’ll actually be able to survive in the bunker or even get to experience what happens after landing the rocket .

*– [Real player with 448.5 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199092661620)*

Mr. Prepper. A survival base building game that's not about survival and not about base building but purely story-driven.

TL;DR: If you can get it cheap (10 USD/EUR), give it a shot. But if you want a survival challenge or expect another game like This War Of Mine, STAY AWAY. It has SO much unused potential. It could be so much more.

PROS:

+ Interesting story. Mr. Prepper is not your average guy.

+ The typical "just one more day" game design that sucks you in.

+ 3 (4) NPCs you interact with that are all kinda likable.

9.5 out of 10 typing game due to some errors I'm gonna start with some things that are messed up in the game, but first I highly recommend this game if you love typing games it's challenging the story is amazing and it's ridiculously fun. Ragers are too OP I can type around 120 wpm, but when you can only see two words at a time and the creator has the most expansive vocabulary having these things run up and 3 shot you from full health is toxic. The ragers words will sometimes not stay on top of them either so they'll get close and the letter to switch to them will be in some random location you have to guess at, also sometimes when you kill a zombie instead of going to the closest one to you like it normally does it won't target a rager straight up punching you in the butt. One of the later levels repeats with the same journal entry and 430 something words is wayyyy too much for one level my dude I about had a stroke especially with your huge words you use throughout plus it's so long it doesn't fit on the whole journal entry screen when you scroll down loool. The good though this is actually a SUPER challenging typing game which is awesome they're rare. The upgrades give you a chance to beat it on any difficulty besides the easiest I could only beat the second easiest game mode. The zombies ramp up so heavily if you don't upgrade correctly you may be screwed. The story is amazingly interesting and well written the library of words is expansive and everything you type is leading up to the journal entry you get to read at the end. I'm sad it's not complete yet, but I will most definitely check out the future chapters. Loved this game. Don't be discouraged by the lack of reviews I'm assuming it's because people can't beat it outside of the easiest difficulty which may be a turn off to some people and the story is pretty lengthy but great.

Keyboard Kommander gets the fundamentals right of a typing action game, but then adds several innovations new to the genre. That game has the juicy sound effects and visual effects that make the simple action of typing feel awesome. Pressing space to shoot a zombie in the head never gets old.

Built on top of the excellent arcade typing action, there’s also tactical gameplay decisions you have to make. You can choose which zombie to target, so you can take down the most threatening ones first. You can strategically choose mortar gun to do splash damage to nearby zombies or laser gun to kill several zombies in a line. So it’s not down to just technical dexterity, there’s also tactical skill and longer term strategy with upgrades.
