Overall a pretty decent experience but I do have some feedback:

Survival Aspects: Way too easy. The cold and food and hunger were NEVER something I had to worry about. Every single house and shed is full of food and water, I actually started just randomly eating stacks of food to get inventory space (You can drop it but I do it my way ok?!) Add to that the wildlife. It’s everywhere. But NEVER a threat. I easily avoided any interaction and had no real reason to go after since every 5ft there was another supermarket in a shed. I know that balance is a part of a games development cycle, hopefully this will be tweaked because it made the entire ‘survival system’ feel pointless.

I don’t understand why everyone is being so negative. This version of the game has only been out one day….ONE DAY! Do ya’ll not understand what early access is? It is access to a game early so you can help the project team squash bugs and make the game work like you all think it should now. $20 is cheap, this game “will be” worth $50-$70 dollars when done and you would have gotten it for $20……Rant over now onto the real review;

I payed my $20, chump change and My first glance at this game was like all the bad reviews but then I told myself, it is almost pre-alpha and I need to dredge up my early access survival skills. Once I did that, my progress skyrocketed! Within 6 hours I was in the steel age and was mining the meteorite that’s needed for endgame stuff! The graphics are not what I expected but that’s an easy fix which will come with time, the game play is great, survival deadly wolves and robots, starvation, thirst, I mean come on, if you really enjoy the genre you will enjoy this game…..period

I have to admit i’m enjoying it. i like the crafting, exploring and scavenging for supply’s. There’s robots, bears, wolf’s,foxes and dear. still early development so its what you make of it. I buy a lot of early access games cause i my opinion that’s where the new ideas come from.

I fell that this has plenty of room to become a good game, just needs the attention and care of the people making it and the community to support it. allot of games started out in early access, allot are dud’s but some have really become something good. So if you want a game ready to play then just wait, if you want to play and watch the game grow and develop then go for it.

You’ve died, this is space hell.

Everyone gets room and board.

Doesn’t seem so bad.

Gamepad is strongly recommended!

The game has two main paths, both leading to a face-to-face meeting with the Lord of Death. Who’s grown tired of misery and is currently working on rebranding hell for a gentler, more joyous experience. However not everyone in the city is convinced by this sudden change of heart.

CAR PATH, is focused on racing THE TRACKS OF THE ABYSS. Collecting stars along the way and recieving the honourable invitation after getting all of them.

STORY PATH, consists of increasingly silly scenarios as you get entangled in a plot to overthrow the Lord.

  • Drive around in rocket cars.

  • Become the TOP-STAR-RACER.

  • Go furniture shopping.

  • Decorate your own apartment.

  • Ragdoll around on the floor.

  • Seamless drop-in drop-out multiplayer.

Connection is automatic, but you can manually select region and overflow if you’re looking for a specific room!

Filtering is only a click away.

Survivals unknown

Survivals unknown

Survivals unknown is a Survival Horror MMO that immerses players in a zombie-infested, post-apocalyptic world in which a viral outbreak has decimated the human population leaving in its wake, a nightmare of epic proportion.

It’s been 2 months since the outbreak; leaving in its wake a post-apocalyptic nightmare with ninety-five percent of the human population gone. In order to stay alive, you will need food, weapons, and other supplies. Some of you will be able to scavenge as you navigate the terrain, others will be forced to fight for survival as you encounter zombies and other players. Every decision will have an impact on whether you live or how quickly you die.

Modiverse

Modiverse

The beta key for the final Modiverse update that includes unfinished cars is “kjmodbetatesters”

This game was dead on arrival. Let me get this out of the way, Modiverse wasn’t meant to be a scam, it was abandoned likely from fear.

The origins of this game (at least according to the creator, KillerJim) was that there was a dispute between KillerJim and the creator of Pavlov VR. What the dispute was about was never revealed, but it ended with Jim deciding to create a VR game being a direct competitor to Pavlov VR. Over the course of development, people were offered access to a closed beta for modders, but the majority of them didn’t have VR setups so the game’s direction was changed to be similar to both Pavlov and Garry’s Mod.

Still rather early on, but it has great potential with open source mods made by the developers to get creators a head start if they want to contribute to the workshop and the community.

There is still more to come and more support from the developers, now yes it seems rather empty and small now, but with growth and numbers this game can really take off.

We just need people to believe in the project and show support if they can.

Promising but heavy on the shooting

Very Early Access at time of writing, so understand that it’s a little rough around the edges, but zero crashes. It’s easy to pick up and play, and a strong showing this early into access.

Did I want another Open World Survival Craft game? I wasn’t sure I wanted to learn another set of you know leveling, currencies, crafting stations… with different graphics. But I got it for the driving and building, which is easy and nice. It looks as if there are plans to make this a little more involved and deeper.

So what do we have here another EA open world survival game? Ok I’ll admit I’m a bit obsessed with the genre. What’s interesting here is your vehicle is ultimately the center piece or your main tool for survival. As a gearhead, mechanic and a MadMax fan this is something I’ve wanted to see happen for a while. I can see being the hardcore survival game I so wanted the MadMax game to be. So you have some pretty interesting features, there forest maps that have temperate climates but the main map is a frozen wasteland similar to The Long Dark and your vehicle is your main source of warmth. The engine heats up as you drive keeping you warm I don’t know if the engine can overheat yet but that would be a cool feature. Of course you’ll need gasoline to keep it running as well as water and food to keep your character running. The game has a cool way of carrying and transferring liquids you will need bottles or jerry cans whether it’s gas or water. For instance if you find a fuel barrel you will need to equip a jerry can walk up to the barrel and press a button to fill the can, you can also dump the contents of your jerry can into the barrel. Same if you want to consolidate liquids in your inventory you will have to drop one container and equip the other to move the liquids. Might seem like too much busy work to some but I like these kinds of details. You’ll have initially repair your vehicle when you get it with scrap and parts and this is how will maintain it. Human enemies have their own vehicles as well and you can drive them, you can also apparently collect other vehicles though I don’t know how yet. There is some base building and outposts that have to be found and repaired though I haven’t really got into that yet besides building my first garage and a campfire. There seems to be no map and you will need to have an actual compass in your inventory for it to show on your hud. For how early access this game is the vehicle handling is pretty good even with the keyboard it’s fun to drive. You get a 4X4 Camaro which is pretty BA if you ask me and it’s pretty capable vehicle. The game also has a pretty cool feature where radios in the game, the car radio and radios at bases and some POIs connect to a rather large list of real internet radio staions. A bit of everything from 70s dance to modern rock. I’ll say there is something fun about being chased by Hot Rodding bandits in an arctic wasteland while listening to Diana Ross “I’m coming out” that I think Fallout fans will understand. There is also another feature where when your “fatigue meter”(that’s what I call it anyway) runs out and your character will pass out right were you stand, or drive. I once had it happen while I was driving across a bridge and my character fell asleep at the wheel and drove off the bridge to his death which I thought was funny. The cold affects this meter as well as fighting and sprinting, and it was bit excessive at first but the devs responded quickly to feedback and have already balanced it and many other features to make it more manageable. Now on to the combat. This is very basic at this point, you’ll find yourself fighting wolves, bears, zombies, and human raider/bandit types. The 2 aforementioned animals are arguably the most decent. Decent animated, decent AI. They will actually fight each other if the haven’t noticed you yet. I’ll often come across bears fighting packs of wolves which is cool. Zombies are zombies pretty basic. Bandits are definitely the most janky at this point but not really in really bad way just animations are kind of weird. There ar only a handful of weapons and tools at this point so far I’ve seen and used the axe in both stone and metal versions, similarly the pickaxe. Then you can craft a wodden club and I found a version with nails. So far only 2 firearms a pistol and rifle both using the same pistol ammo and a hit scanning insta kill crossbow. Well everything except bears are insta kill with the crossbow. The bow and pistol are animated ok but the rifle is bolt action yet uses a pump action animation. Doesn’t seem to be locational damage but I may be wrong. This is definitely the weakest part of the game right now but it’s not terrible, again this is very early access and it’s also not the major focus so if that is a problem for you then maybe this isn’t the right game at the moment for you. The name of the game is “Drive” 4 Survival not “Fight” 4 Survival. However the devs seem very active as of writing this the devs have already put out like 5 or 6 updates, hotfixes and even rebalances based on player feedback and its only been out a few days. I was actually watching a Youtuber livestream and the dev jumped into the chat to get feedback and also give tips to the streamer. So they seem active in the community. Only time will tell but I do see a lot of potential here for a vehicular based openworld survival game and if that tickles your fancy like me give it a try.

The Day They Came

The Day They Came

So I was really curious about this game, sadly the developer got a little excited and released this game way too early.

The game has no enemies, no options menu, no way to exit the game or instructions.

Once you chop down some trees that fall and then spaz out due to some crazy physics all you can do is access a build menu that let’s you create some walls, steps, floor, door, base and I couldn’t use the floor as a ceiling like it suggested.

The game has at least a 30 minute night cycle making it almost impossible to do anything, much less see.

This is a great game. Survive against mutated humans, creature, bears, wolves etc. The crafting system is incredible, very elaborate & well thought out, also with the newly added trader system. Work out how to craft scrap metal to make the game easier to survive. Building is enjoyable also but you can live in the RV at the spawn location & place objects inside. Congratulations to the Developer Sydney Games for producing this game.

Do you know how to program in Lua? Are you bummed by this game not being as good as it should be? message me. I recommend the game, however only if you know how to program either in Lua or are willing to learn so that you can fix his glitches and crappy programming and make it better. Half of my play-time is due to me fixing the game and running it over and over again. Again, message me if you’re interested in helping me fix this because the developer is never touching it again.
