Neon Wings: Air Race

Yeah it’s really good fun and was worth every penny, I would definitely like to see more things added in the future to make it even greater.

Red Rover

This experience is stunning if you like exploring space in VR and I love flying around the real terrain, feels like I am there on Mars. I have waited for something like this for decades! Nice one Dev this has become my new favourite diddn’t think anything would beat Lunar Flight so well done. If I could ask for a small request, could we have an untethered from vehicle roaming around EVA function so we can explore freely and an adjustment so we can calibrate our seat position in the rover up/down left/right for the viewpoint. I love it!

PLEASE NOTE:

This is more like a simulator and I would only recommend to people mad about space, mars and exploring.

There is not a lot to do in this experience, no quests or objectives, but what it’s designed for, it does it well so with that in mind and the price its hard to give this a negative review.

Graphics, sound and physics are well polished and simulate the Martian environment really well.

CosmoDrive:Infinity

CosmoDrive:Infinity

Fun and challenging game to get all achievements in and get a better score than your friends.

There’s a few “beauty blemishes” but knowing the developer a revision will most likely be made at some point.

This game was build on top of its predecessor CosmoDrive:Zero and that may also be the reason for someone to buy the game, to support the developer and it may serve as a timeline piece of their skill improvements.

In The Long Run The Game

In The Long Run The Game

Sincerely i was a bit scared by other reviews but the game, at this date, seems not so scary to play and also character controls could be better (no keybindings).

There was a bug preventing me to create a new character but, after reporting it the dev(s) fixed the game in a few hours. I suggest the dev(s) to work on overall usability and to add more items and more things to do. I’d say 6/10 at the moment but I will change my opinion if the game changes.

I only write reviews in extreme cases. Right now the controls and menus seem like a joke. Everything about the game seems to be designed to make it completely unbearable to play. For instance, when you are mining, the character is heaving as though he is drunk and about to pass out. Since the mining ray is attached to a backpack it is constantly moving up and down and it is very difficult to perform what is supposed to be a very basic and simple task.

Some things should be simple and predictable. What the devs have done is like if you would design a car with the gear shift where the steering wheel goes, the steering wheel where the gear shift goes, and the gas pedal in the glove box. The major challenge in the game is finding the gas pedal.

Deep Space Battle Simulator

Deep Space Battle Simulator

I found this on-sale in some Sci-Fi Steam section, then I googled it, then I got it for my friend and I and we’ve loved it. You can hardly tell it’s an early access game- I have played for almost seven hours without finding a single bug! My recommendations would be to:

1: Add more classes and weapons. Maybe a Medic (TF2 inspired skin?) who could have a slightly increased self healing rate, and an ability to made some sort of mini tether-heal machine, like in the Medical Bay. I think that more weapons would also be cool, especially weapons in favor of one thing, and not the other- like a blowtorch. A blowtorch could be a very short-rage secondary that does high damage to doors and robots, but very low damage to players, or maybe a bomb or C4 that can deal very high damage to door and entities, maybe even the ship, but is a one time use item. Or maybe you can tie in the C4, blowtorch, add a pistol, and you could even make a demolitions expert class!

Great multiplayer game!!!

Here are some details: There can be 6 people on each ship, so 12 players total in PVP matches, or just 6 people in one co-op session vs the AI. The graphics do what they are suppose to do: Be there and convey all the actions going on. There will be times where it looks like to super ships battling it out with all the laser fire going on. That is about it with graphics. The game has pretty in-depth combat with variety of strats you can use to win against both computers and players. Want to focus on defense and getting your pilot ships to do damage? Dooooo it! Want to focus on moving your Capital Ship in for some crazy maneuvering with Gauss Cannons/Laser weapons and the super laser - Go for it. Want to break open a hangar and steal enemy ships or blow up some systems/people? Viable and fun.

Space Ribbon - Slipstream to the Extreme

Space Ribbon - Slipstream to the Extreme

Cool and original game!

It’s like racing on a roller coaster track in space :-)

Single player: Campaign with three speed classes.

Multiplayer: Up to 4 players can play in splitscreen and optionally 1 of the players can play as the paver which creates the track.

Racing

Slipstream:

The core mechanic is using slipstream to boost your speed which makes it possible to catch up and often makes the races very intense close to the finish line.

Side barrier:

Another “mechanic” is the side barrier. STAY away from it as it tends to slow you down a lot. It’s better to ease off on the gas and make a corner than smashing into the side.

For my first Early Access game, this is pretty darn good. Not a bad way to go for $1 during the Steam Summer Sale. There does exist some balancing issues, which can make the game frustrating at times, but overall, it is all I ever hoped for in this game as an Early Access title. It’s a good way to start. Oh, and the demo doesn’t do the game justice. Developer, please remove the demo or update it please!

If you start a race with a mouse/keyboard, it locks you out of the Xinput controls (such as an Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller). It doesn’t allow you to switch on-the-fly or on-demand. You either have to exit the Grand Prix or restart the game to make sure to use the other control scheme. My prefered method of control is a controller, not keyboard/mouse.

Vector 36

Vector 36

The first fifty hours, they were the worst. The second fifty hours, they were the worst too. The third fifty hours I didn’t enjoy at all. After that I went into a bit of a decline.

So why play for so many hours if the game’s that appalling?

Ah hah. Ah hah. Taste the soup…

Yes, Vector 36 is actually very good - the first few hours or so are a bit dry figuring out how to build and fly the basic low-powered skimmer and getting enough credits from racing to buy the next one (the Phi 90 - a lot more fun; a bit like an underpowered sports car). Keep plugging away and eventually you get the Quill which has buckets of speed, handles well and doesn’t require too much modification (I suggest a larger fuel tank and an extra radiator or two). This machine is fun to fly and wins the races. There is also a faster beast (that looks like a fish, moves like a fish,) but it steers - like - a - cow.

TL,DR:

hardcore skimmer (compare: multicopter) racing SIMULATION, science fiction setting, difficult but rewarding. deep game.

~

after playing this game to the death the last few weeks I think it’s time for me to write a review. I keep it short and focus only on points that make this game special to me:

the physics and the controls are great, the handling is nuanced, complex and, yeah, I assume: realistic. though it’s all science fiction, it really is a simulation.

that makes the game hard and unforgiving at the beginning - the learning curve is really pretty steep. but once you get the hang of the controls and learn how to build a skimmer that’s to your liking, racing it becomes just glorious.
